Even though I didn't end up needing a new car battery, the guy who helped me was super friendly and helpful! He tested my battery for me and gave me some pointers. He was really honest to tell me my battery was still fine and wouldn't need a new one just yet and I could wait a while so I could save some money. We were a member of AAA Hawaii for a couple of years and used their service of jumping our battery once during that time. It took them hour and a half to respond and luckily, we were in a parking structure and not in the hot sun. We received a renewal billing statement for $145.00 so decided to check out reviews on Yelp to see if their service is currently up to par before we decide to continue for another year. There were posts that said they had to find their own tow, service time was pushed out without warning and waited for hours where the A/C couldn't be used due to dead battery, a voicemail message was left but no return call, etc. so we decided to cancel our membership and pick up a NOCO Boost GBX45 battery jumper pack for $147.95 from Battery Bill's so it's basically a wash. This place is located on N. Nimitz Hwy. right before Liliha Bakery. When you arrive, you need to push the call button and someone will help you at one of the 2 windows. My husband informed the salesman what he was interested in and brought out the unit, took it out of the box to let him see what it looks like. My husband knew the jumper didn't come with a wall charger so he brought an Apple and Android one...salesman said to use the Apple. Before we decided to come here, we called "another company" who sold an older model that was selling for $50 cheaper which we were okay with but whoever answered the phone was rude and didn't sound like he wanted to answer questions. We then called Battery Bill's. The woman who answered the phone was nice and helpful so it was an easy decision to drop by and buy it from here. I said ok but I was debating to install the battery myself to save $30 . I told myself for convenience Im just going to have them do everything. Lucky I did because the tech attached a handheld computer so I wouldn't lose all my Bluetooth setting and clock settings. I thought that was cool because if I did on my own I would have to reset my radio and clock and all my Bluetooth settings . So it was well worth the extra $30 to have them install my new battery. I've been to Battery Bill on several occasions. I know Bill as a past Honolulu Executive Association member. I have not ever needed anything until the pandemic took the world by their necks! With that being said, I don't agree going without my mask because killer virus and variants are not eradicated. Since I'm traveling for business, I need a portable air system and battery pack to form a safe zone on the jet. Although the airlines tells us they rotate the air every four minutes. My little air system really cleans their air around me and can tell by how super fresh and clean the air is. Those seated around me will benefit without getting sick from any bacteria and/or viruses. So, I had borrowed a friend's battery pack and needed purchase my own. She purchased hers from Battery Bill and decided to return hers. I purchased two so I can have it for a mission. I added a fast charging plug and will return to purchase another one and a foldable solar panel for extra charging back up. The staff is friendly and have a window with a barrier. While steadily using our Dyson V8 Animal vacuum cleaner over the past 2 years, we have gotten excellent results when cleaning our car interior as well as our condominium. However, we started to notice that the battery didn't seem to hold its charge as long as it used to so we figured it about time to replace. Thanks to the Dyson website and YouTube, we became informed consumers as to how to replace the battery rather than having to unnecessarily spend more money on buying a new vacuum. We've gone to Battery Bill's in the past and have always found they had battery replacement for our devices in stock. However, we called this shop before going there, just in case. Once it was confirmed that the battery was in stock, we took a quick drive to this location. There was just one other customer ahead of us when we arrived but to the credit of the technician/cashier, he greeted us and said he'll be with us shortly. When it was our turn, we told him what we were looking for and that we had called earlier to confirm his inventory. He went to his shelves where he brought out a boxed replacement battery. My husband compared it to the original and confirmed the specifications. We paid for our replacement battery and the technician even asked if we wanted to dispose of our original with him. We declined as we wanted to make sure that the replacement fit our vacuum. Sure enough, the generic battery fit and my husband installed it. I then used the vacuum to zip around our condominium unit and could feel the "power" of the vacuum as well as not having to hurry thinking the battery would run out in a few minutes. Came here for the first time. I remember this guys commercial when I was a little kid and I honestly thought that I would never come here until today lol. I went to Gadget Guyz to have my wife's phone repaired and he referred me to this place because I needed a Samsung Galaxy S6 battery. I was fortunate because when I called them, this guy answered the phone and confirmed that they had the battery that I needed, but they were gonna close in 15mins. Terrible customer service!!! I got an Interstate brand battery for my car from Battery Bill near Nimitz Hwy two years ago, and it dead in the car two days ago. I took the battery back to this shop as it's still under warranty. They checked the battery and confirmed that the battery could not hold a charge, BUT they refused to replace it for me. From worker to manage tried to find all kinds of excuses not honoring warranty, they tried to blame me not take care of battery. They were very unreasonable, and they were unbelievably RUDE!! While I talked to a female manager on the phone explaining the condition of the dead battery, she hanged up on me. The warranty is a total RIP-OFF!!! If you are looking for a car battery, go to Costco, where selling Interstate batteries for a reasonable price, and most important, Costco is very honest company and Costco's customer service is way better than this shop... Battery Bills to the rescue!! I own a 7 year old APC battery backup for my desktop computer and security systems. I research the cost of replacing the internal battery's for my APC with several well know large chain electronic retailers off Island and on. The cost wasn't that bad, but most often the cost of shipping was half the cost of the replacement battery. I even considered buying a new battery backup, most for more than $199 dollars. I contacted Battery Bills, gave them the make and serial number of my APC. I drove 10mins to pick up two replacement batteries. It cost me less than $70 dollars! I feel like I used to always hear the catchy radio advertisement for Battery Bills. It would keep running over and over in my head, but I never had a reason to go there. Until one of my friends opened a business and needed to service their backup battery surge protectors for the Computers. I didn't even know the computer backup batteries were changeable, until another friend told me no need to buy a new one, just change the internal battery at Battery Bills. So I took the battery backup there and sure enough, they opened it up and changed the battery for less than half the cost of a new one. Since then I've gone there twice. Saved a bunch. In an almost panic state, I was referred to Battery Bill's by AT&T, my cell phone carrier. I first went to AT&T to get a battery because my phone has been draining faster than normal and the battery is a couple of years old. Also, my phone had blacked out about 4 times this week. The other day, I noticed that it seemed like my 4Runner was having a hard time starting. Being that I use my vehicle for work and I run a lot of electronics off of my car battery, I decided to get it checked out. Incredible customer service. I came here years ago to replace a Macbook's bulging battery, which was replaced same day. I came back for an issue in Feb 2020 with my Royal Enfield Classic 500's battery problems. They checked the battery, and recommended a replacement. Cyrus helped me check on the manufacturer's website for warranty coverage to find a lithium battery that's both better and under warranty. I came back two days ago because I left my motorcycle on by accident, draining the battery, left it at the shop to charge, and picked it up the next day, all free of charge.
