I FORGOT TO CHECK IN GUYS! IM SO SORRY... ‍ IM ALWAYS DOING THAT! I go places forget to check in because I'm concentrating on what to do, I totally forget to check in. I need to come up with a better system for YELP here! So I went into O'Reilly hoping someone could help me decide which power steering fluid to get. I wasn't sure if spending $15 was worth the trouble to HELP keep our truck running for at least 4 days more. So I asked the lady at the counter if she recommended this. She said YES! AWESOME! But... she also gave me a helpful advice that cut the cost too! I took it! She said she used it and it helped with hers as well. Try it out, it should work. If it doesn't, it because your issue is far worst than you expected that it has to be fixed immediately & using the other costly one may not help. But she did say we COULD TRY if we wanted. (I just needed it to stop til next week when we do take the truck in to fix.) I said OK! I will do that! That was on Thursday. Her recommendation held on for a good 3 days. YAY! But apparently, my husband said it started to leak AGAIN. I guess the lady was correct. The issue is getting worst than we anticipated and hopefully we could get a bit of that other one for it to hold off a couple more days. So I appreciate this store because even if they may or may not BE mechanics, they too also know a bit of something to help someone in need! Thank you guys for the suggestions. I'm not a car person and don't know too much about cars. I was at another establishment in this area and came in to look around. As soon as I walked in there was an associate behind the counter and she greeted me. She asked if I needed any assistance and I told her that I was just looking around. They sell everything that you need for your car. I saw a whole lot of car batteries, windshield wipers, wheel covers, car seat covers, steering wheel covers and license plate holders. I also saw many things that I didn't know what it's for, lol. I wish I could be more help. The bathroom is in the back of the stockroom. I asked one of the guys working there where the bathroom was and he walked me back there. They provided very good service. They have a sign on their window that says they offer military discount. read more

A BIG Mahalo to Johnathan a service tech at Salt Lake O'Reilly. My husband started the day bad, he had a Dr's appointment early in the morning, got in the car and click click Oh noo not now CAR! ! Having had the same battery from the time we purchased the car almost 7 years to date, yup it has to be the battery. But yessss thank you Jesus It started so on his way to the Dr's office. All he could think while waiting to see his Dr was "I wonder if my car will start up when I'm done".?? After seeing the Dr. He got in the car and click click oh sheesh please please start...miraculously she started up Phewwww - He drove straight to the nearest Auto store that sells battery. O'Reillys in Salt lake. Johnathan greeted him - he told him about the Car battery yada yada and Johnathan was the calm to a hectic Morning. My Husband purchased a new battery and Johnathan did the rest. Swapped the old one out put the new one in - he gave us a credit for the old one AND military discount - My husband said Johnathans experience and awesome customer service needs to be addressed. His day started bad but because of Johnathans wonderful customer service, attention to details and overall on point with what he does his day brightened up. My rewards has been piling up and I would highly recommend signing up for their rewards program, or use someone else's number to get their discounted prices. Other cool features is in-store pickup after ordering online, tons of rebates (both O'Reilly's and manufacturers) available in-store just look for the paper coupons, and LE and military discounts! Needed a specific electrical part for work but their inventory system said they had three, but there were only two he could find. Unfortunately when I looked at them they looked different and he realized someone had stolen half of the part so he could only sell me one. I wish I could give a 10 star for the type of service I received today!!! I've previously had bad customer service experiences at Autozone who is right next door. However! I would like to point out Titan and Javier who was there on April 12, 2019 at 5:30pm. I went in to purchase a plug for my tire I had a screw in my tire.... I've never had to do it before so..... Cashing out with Titan and while checking my things out he offered to help me!! HALLELUJAH!!! It starts drizzling! I had this tiny red umbrella in my car that wouldn't have been much help Screws out, tire is deflating. NOW he's trying to plug my tire WHILE it's flat. Poor guy. Ran in got a compressor (thank you Matt btw) Got the compressor going and it starts raining He's now trying to plug my tire while it's raining and the dumb a$$ plug isn't staying!! I got a new battery from Autozone and they gave me an incomplete set of tools to replace my old battery in the parking lot. When I went inside to ask for a 14mm wrench to take off the negative terminal of my old battery to finish the job, they informed me they didn't have anything else for customers to use and if I wanted to get one I would need to purchase one from them. I walked my battery with the terminal over to O'Reilly's and informed them of what happened, and they walked me to the back of their shop. Then he rolled over a cart with a full socket and wrench set and other tools to get my terminal off. Then, they let me borrow a 14mm wrench to put the battery in my car. If I wasn't in such a rush, I would have returned my battery from Autozone and bought it from O'Reilly's. I will be taking my service to O'Reilly's for now on. They supported me and I bought something from their rival chain right next door. I am grateful and they deserve 6 stars! read more

It's such a sick feeling to hop into your car and...it doesn't start. After calling roadside assistance and having my car jump started, I called several stores to check whether they had the battery I needed in stock. Chantelle (sp?) at O'Reilly Salt Lake was extremely helpful, though it was later in the evening so I decided to follow up in the morning. Spoke with Jonathan who ended the call with a warm and reassuring, "We're here to help...don't stress." Sure enough, he helped me with my purchase, installed the new battery, and made a potentially stressful process smooth and easy. I went into this location with a friend that was having car trouble and we asked the young guy with a beard at the register to scan her car to make sure it was safe for her to drive home to Waikiki. He gives us the bs excuse that he can't leave the store because there's only two of them. We asked for the manager and it took him forever just to come out. When the manager finally emerged, so did three other employees! Now this guy just told us there were only two people in the store! The manager walks up all nonchalant in old street clothes, then proceeds to tel is the d@mn machine is broken. Kind of funny it's broken all of a sudden! It's pathetic how some people will do anything just to get out of doing their job! AFTER cleaning the cars did we come to an auto store... I am new to cars, along with anything and everything related. Inside, I'm just standing wide eyed at all the different confusing items in all the aisles. Luckily the cleaning products was the first items I spotted. Found the turtle wash and wax, sponge, the drying towel and after hunting... Found the SQUEEGEE! As I debated about the squeegee, one of the workers came from behind the counter and offered assistance, which I didn't need, but it was nice she had asked. At the register, she helped me check out. She suggested the absorber which cost more than the drying towel I was going to purchase (I had asked her to compare the prices). I asked my brother and he preferred that. As she finished scanning she asked if I wanted a different color for the absorber. I said yes and switched it to pink! Why not?!
