I bought a $300 battery for my Jeep from these guys. It's warranted for 5 years. It's only 7 mos old and had been failing to start the vehicle for a month now. I finally took it in , and they say that it's only lost 250 of its rated750 amp . It's probably ok! IT WONT START THE CAR IF IT SETS OVERNIGHT! I've charged it to 13 volts. Completely disconnected it from the vehicle, and it drops to 9.5 volts, overnight! That's not acceptable, and not repairable by them! Now I'm fighting with them for replacement. Any auto parts house would have taken it back "no questions asked" . DO not trust this place, they don't deal honestly, and they don't honor there warranty! read more

I recently came in to Batteries Plus Bulbs to get the battery in my Honda car key replaced after it died and I was no longer able remote lock or open my car. I had never been here before but I was confident they could solve my issue since they are a battery store. I was immediately greeted upon entering the store and I asked if I could get the battery replaced in my key. The store employee Vladi was very nice and took no time getting to work on opening my key, which was surprisingly very hard to get open. Vladi tried using a small tool to get the screw to turn but it wouldn't budge. He even tried heating the screw with a solder gun to loosen it up (I guess Honda seals their keys with a glue) but the screw would not turn, so Vladi had to try another trick to get the battery out. He then used an exacto knife to open the key and slide out the battery. It was quite interesting to see Vladi open the key. After a few minutes, I was walking out of Batteries Plus Bulbs very happy to have a working car key remote again and a new place to buy my batteries. Vladi had great customer service and was really friendly and made my first experience at BPB a good one. I just remembered I have another Honda key that needs a battery replaced. Do not buy a key fob here! They completely wasted my time! I came in and bought a key fob about a month ago, they said it would be there in about two weeks because they had to order it, no big deal! They call me in two weeks that it had arrived, so I came down to pick it up, but they were having issues with the key actually working on my car, the guy said their key cutter had been acting a little funny! Ha! Then maybe get a new one! So they said they could order us a new one but it would take another two weeks so we said okay. Two weeks go by so my husband calls to see if it's in and they have no idea about any order for a new key!! I'm over here patiently waiting for a new key fob. Do you know how annoying it is to not have a key fob and having to load two kids in the car! Plus they have my $300! So frustrating and a complete waste of time!! read more

I can never say enough good things about this store. Though they stock great items, and all the personal is highly knowledgeable their customer care ( not service ) is OVER THE TOP! In a society where it feels most times your inconveniencing staff if you need to ask a question at Batteries Plus they not only make you comfortable asking questions they actually have answers. Your also not made to feel rushed. I wish I needed more items from them . I do however need to call out one particular person and that would be Kushal. When I came into the store I had been having the WORST 72 hours of my life ( and I've had some doozies) and I wasn't even sure if they were going to able to help me. It's so frustrating when you have a cell phone and it starts to drain power quickly. My dad was having an issue with the phone he purchased from AT&T but when we went to the store to get it checked the greeter didn't even touch the phone. He told us to go to Batteries and Bulbs. I was disturbed because I expected the AT&T store to resolve the issue or at least try. You'd think they'd have batteries for their phones but didn't. Anyway, when we got to Batteries and Bulbs we had no wait and was greeted right away by the service professional. He checked his stock for the battery to verify they could help and immediately began changing the battery. The service took about 45 minutes but it was well worth it. We were able to wait in the chairs provided for those waiting on their services items. The total cost was $106 but it was well worth the cost for peace of mind. Now my phone is draining power quickly. I'll either have to get a new phone or change the battery in the phone I have. To me the answer is clear. Since I like my money I'll definitely get a battery over a new purchase. The store was fast, friendly and skilled. I'd definitely recommend this store to anyone having the same issues that AT&T can't/won't help you with. read more

All you need to know about Batteries Plus Bulbs you can tell from their front door. They have double-wide glass doors -- just like a supermarket. Of course supermarket doors are electric, controlled by a magic eye so you can push your groceries out in a handy grocery cart, or carry your grocery bags out, without having to touch the door. Everyone knows car batteries are heavy, a lot heavier than grocery bags! So does Batteries Plus Bulbs have a magic eye electric door so when you are returning one of their dead car batteries, their front door will open automatically like a supermarket door -- NO! Not only that, but the doors only open out -- not in -- so you have to set the dead car battery on the ground, pry the door open, then quick grab the battery again before the door closes! Do they at least have a shopping cart for heavy items? NO! Though I'll bet they have one after this review! And when I returned one of my 2 BPB batteries that should have been covered by warranty, there was another guy in the store who was also returning a bad BPB car battery. Coincidence? I don't know what he was told, but they told me that both of my BPB batteries were OK, they just needed a good charge. Leave them overnight, and pick them up in the morning. Only what they were really doing was buying time on their ridiculously short 14-day warranty. And after the 14 days, it was, "We can't warranty the product, but we'll make you a heck of a deal on another battery." When HELL freezes over! In the future, I'll get car batteries at AutoZone. read more

I am surprised they don't have 5 star reviews across the board! This place has the best customer service I have seen in decades. They fixed my iPhone for a decent price. 6 months later when I took it in (it was having problems), they didn't even ask for a receipt - they still honored their 6 month warranty (and it may have even been a little more than 6 months). SORRY, I can not recommend you to use this store. I went in to get some specialty bulbs from a sign build back in the 1950's. I brought the fluorescent lights to them and they ordered them. A week later I pick them up and only two of the six were the right size. I went back in and they were researching the bulbs again and I left under the impression that they would locate the right bulbs. A week had gone by and I reentered the store to find that no one had done anything. Then the clerk said I'll try and find your old bulbs and reorder the new ones. The service is not great at all. If you can find what you're looking for on the shelf anyone of the monkeys there can ring you up. Frustrated with the service and incompetence I walk out. Looks like I am replacing the system with LED lighting and no longer need them. read more

I've been to this store several times, and every time I have received excellent and personal service. They have helped me with everything from making a battery pack for a custom drill, to getting me a power wheels battery that was less expensive but better than the stock battery, to testing my car battery and charging system and replacing the very dead battery with a shiny new one. At first glance, the prices for the car batteries here seemed to be higher than some of the auto parts stores, but when I compared warranties and cold cranking amps, their prices are actually better! And their car battery test seems to be more thorough, too. They also have a pretty huge selection of different light bulbs, and a personal favorite, some awesome flash lights, too. I had a wonderful experience when I came here to get 2 watch batteries replaced. I called ahead and the prices and service seemed promising so i went to the store. The male worker was very knowledgeable and replaced my watch battery right in front of me in record time. The second watch took a little longer because the screw was stripped, but none the less, it was replaced and my watches are now working just fine. The 2 watch replacements cost me under $15! What a great deal! (They had a 10% coupon as well). The worker stated they don't replace watches that are over $200 or $250 because of liability, but after experiencing the professionalism here, I would feel comfortable to bring even much more expensive watches here for battery replacement (as long as it's the same guy). I was very happy to get my watch replaced here and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to replace a watch battery. The service really is great. read more
