The service when I got here was great. They had a used and new batteries and the prices were way better than I expected. They put the battery in for me and had me out in less than 20 minutes. Fast and easy. I will definitely come back read more

I went there for a battery for my Prius. Right away, the guy looked /tested it and said my battery is bad . He replaced my battery right away! It really took less than 20 mins to removed and installed the new battery. (I was told from 2 diff stores that it will take 40 mins and they can't do it!) and the value of the battery from this shop is cheaper than o'reilly and autozone. Will go back to this place next time I have a problem with battery and will recommend this place to everyone. Plus the lady at the counter was nice and friendly. Thanks again! read more

This place is a rip off I called for Price of a used battery they said yes they had one for $35. When I get there 10 minutes later they only have new ones now so I get a new one for $80 and was told if anything goes wrong with the battery I get a free replacement before the 20 months. I had the battery for one year today when I called Was told I have to leave the battery overnight and they will check it out. I said no where in my receipt does it say I have to leave my battery. What do I drive for the 24 hours. They don't care they got their money I only gave them 1 star because I had to. I will reach out to The State of California to report them. read more

I called for a rebuild battery and was told that we have available for $55. When I arrived 5 minutes later, I was told that it has been sold and only new one is available for $75. Obviously It was just a lie and trap and very bad business practice. Will not recommend to anyone. read more

Bought my third battery today 05/01/2021, all different cars. I asked if they could check my old battery and alternator first.Good alternator bad battery. Jose was the gentleman that helped me, he even installed the battery without me asking if he could do it. Great customer service, great product. Only place I will get a car battery from. read more

Bought a battery for my quad, they gave me a battery that doesn't fit and is over a year old. Immediately went to return it and they wouldn't take it back. Got in a big argument with them. They are rude, deceptive and inept. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. These guys put a defective battery in my car, I got stranded because the car wouldn't start. They would not give me my money back, only want to replace my battery with a new one. Why would I want another defective product after the first one failed miserably? Customer service is lacking to say the least. I do not recommend this place read more

Went in for a new battery, (thought mine was going bad). Thankful to the HONEST staff for testing the battery and they realized it was my terminals and not the battery. They offered to replace the terminal and had me out and driving within 15 mins and saved me a bunch! read more

You have to be careful. I called about a refurbished battery the guy that answered said they had what I needed in stock. I stated I was on the way. At this time I was on the freeway headed to pick up the battery. 15 min later when I arrived the guy says they don't have what I'm looking for however they do have a new one at almost twice the price I was quoted. Total waste of my time when I'm on a tight schedule. Only one person there and the guy tells me I didn't talk to him. So watch for the bait and switch at this place read more

I went to get an oil change at a large business chain...They also suggested I get a new battery as MINES WAS AT 30%. I said no thanks... After leaving all of the sudden my alarm starts malfunctioning and my interior lights stay flashing on all night. I called this battery place asking if they had a battery for me. .it was in stock so I go on franklin and right when the guy opens my hood he says YOUR BATTERY IS BRAND NEW. I ask him to test it. he says the POSITVE CABLE HAS BEEN UNSCREWED IM AT 100%. He tightened it and I handed him a $5 I was thankful. I won't be going to that oil chain ever again!! Big Hog Battery Services - New battery with a 20month warranty. - Battery Stores Near Me - Sacramento, California

A South Sacramento secret. I found this place because of work and I came here when I needed a battery. It is a family owned new and reconditioned battery store. I picked up a new battery for my car here. Joshua was great, he put in a new battery for me. We talked about the pros and cons of a re-conditioned battery. In the end I got out of there for $74 for a new battery and I didn't even have to get dirty. read more

The owner himself came out to my house to replace my dead battery and gave me a very good deal. Professional demeanor in a very cool Big Hog Battery van! Was nice to my dog and gave me some very good car advice. Will absolutely use again! read more

SCAMMERS!!! Told us over the phone they pay $10 for all batteries trade in and when we got there they told us $5 for regular batteries and that $10 is for a huge semi truck battery. They get you in their thinking your getting the best deal then switch once you arrive. Classic bait and switch. More scummy service. read more

If I could leave a review with no stars I would...I bought 2 NEW batteries for my diesel truck only 3 month ago and now I'm stranded at my job site so I was told when I purchased the batteries they have a mobile service in case of an emergency like the situation I'm in so I call big hog and spoke with JIMMY told him the situation and he wanted me to buy new batteries in order to receive the mobile service when I already purchased them only 3 months ago then proceeded to tell me to bring the batteries into him to charge them when I obviously can't cause my truck won't start then he offered me a the mobile service at a charge of $150 after I told him I would not pay the $150 he told me and I quote "Take your batteries and Shove them up your A$$" and hung up on me I would never recommend anyone to do business with them no matter how cheep there batteries are read more

STAY AWAY. Jimmy will swear you out. He has such filthy mouth. Every other word is nothing but filth. Looks like they deal with unhappy customers every day. Cuz that place is a joke. Horrible attitude. Rude owner. They changed battery on my car, while changing their employee cracked my windshield. I called him on it but he said he didn't do it. Wanted to speak to the manager he wasn't there, called the owner and what he did just BEYOND surprised me. Basically he said his employee would never lie, and he has no reason to lie. Well thats not very bright thinking, a guy who cracked the window has every reason to lie, His employment is at risk, and he might of had some money deducted from his paycheck. So to tell me that the employee doesn't have reason to lie is not very objective thinking. Plus the owner of the store Jimmy went on cursing and told me to keep the money of the battery and get lost. Used battery costs $40 and windshield costs $150+ Still cant believe how i was treated. I bought a lot of batteries from them. read more

If you need a good deal on a battery, this is then place to go. Customer service is awesome as they attempted to recharge my battery when they were unsure. Ultimately gave me a good deal. I'm not a dedicated customer. read more

Long story short get a quote when you call and the name of the person who quoted you. read more

If it could give negative I would. Save your money and go to Sacramento battery company in West Sacramento better prices and great customer service. (And no I am not friends or related to them) They gave us the wrong battery size for our car but we worked with it but the battery keeps dying went to take it back and they do not honor the 30-day warranty and then tried to sell us another one for another $30+ dollars like really this is the way you conduct business? Horrible customer service and product experience. Buyers beware!!! read more

I am writing this review even before getting my battery back! I wanted to have an old No-Cad battery rebuilt. I could not find a replacement anywhere online. I went to a battery store, no luck, called a battery replacement business, again no luck! I called Big Hog, took the battery in and they said they thought they could rebuild it! Jimmy at Big Hog just called and told me the battery was indeed finished and testing showed a complete charge! This business is great, customer service is great! read more

Hello friendz !! Back in 2017 I bought a battery from big hog back when they were located at the old Jimboys on Franklin Boulevard. Up until recently I had no problem with my battery, then it started Trippin and acting funky sometimes working sometimes not (having to carry jumper cables is a drag!!) When I was driving by that area I noticed that big hog was gone so I thought they went out of business I was very upset because I had a warranty on my battery. Then I decided to check YELP good ole Yelp hooked me up!! I found them they had just moved to a new location farther down Franklin Boulevard!! JOSE Was super nice and super helpful. He help me find my receipt on the computer. Then he checked my battery & checked my alternator in the sweltering heat I wish they had a tent out there for them because it's so hot in the sun and that's direct sun all day but anyway. Turns out my battery was funky so with no problems no questions he quickly exchanged my battery!! And now my car is running fabulous,,,thanks JOSE you really rock!! read more

This is a one star review, because I can not give a lower rating. I bought batteries for my mobility scooter. They are supposed to be gel batteries. They were acid sealed batteries. Not the type I should have. I took them to get tested, and they left them on the charger over the weekend, and that was where they were on Monday when I went to get them. My scooter would not run very far, or for very long. This is when I found out that I was supposed to have gel batteries, not acid batteries. I went in with the batteries, and was told how they went above and beyond trying to help me by charging them. I could not believe my ears. a battery store thinking they are going above and beyond to find out what is going on with their batteries. I found out that one of the batteries were completely dead, and since this was not they type of battery that is recommended for my scooter, it burnt out the charger. The whole time I was in the store, trying to talk to the manager, he is raising his voice to me, and treating me as if I was .......... I didn't even have the words here, I was so upset over the treatment, and the above and beyond. I would never recommended this place to anyone. EVER. after all if they go above and beyond by checking their own batteries, Isn't this just part of being a battery store? read more

Hi everyone, I don't really have much time to write a long review for these guys but they are awesome!!! They never let me down & they always figure out how to get me the best deal. I've been doing business with them for years. They can come to you and swap out your battery for an additional 40 bucks and give you $15 to take away your old battery. The cars they have serviced for me are my Jaguar, Lexus and Mercedes. The dealerships would love to charge me an arm and a leg for a new battery but thank God for big hog battery services. I highly recommend them. read more
