This is the second five star review I'm writing for batteries plus. I cracked my business phone on a job and had no idea where I was going to get it repaired at 7:30 at night. I shot over here two batteries plus off Park Boulevard and as I was walking in, Jon was walking out. I told Jon how important it was I got this done tonight I basically run my business off my cell phone and I would have fallen behind If I had to wait till the next day I told him I'd give him a $50 tip if he would stay late to do the repair for me. He said you know what I'll take care of it and got my screen replaced in less than 30 minutes. He told me to take that $50 and spend it on the little girl you have as your screensaver (my daughter). I said, are you sure man let me give you something? He said I still want the tip. I just want you to spend it on your daughter go have a good time with her. While visiting my sister in St Petersburg, I needed a new iPhone battery & couldn't get one at home in Alaska. This store is clean, orderly & well stocked. Needed a light bulb for a recessed light in the kitchen. A somewhat difficult find. Went to Batteries Plus. They eye balled the old and pick out a replacement. Took it home, didn't fit. Went to Home Depot. They have a handy dandy chart that measures the prong width and length. Light plugged in right away. Worked great. Why didn't a place that brags about their great inventory have the same simple chart. Would have saved me a thirty minute drive to return an over priced bulb. Remember my rant about batteries plus, breaking my sons phone.. here's my Google review, yelp review, and neighborhood watch post. Batteries Plus on park blvd.. My son dropped his perfectly functional phone on the floor, cracking the screen. I google phone repair near me, batteries plus on park pops up. I was surprised that a battery store did phone repair, looked at review (just the stars, I didn't read-bad idea) dropped off the phone for a screen replacement, guy behind the counter said it would be 3 days.. great! Day 3 we go in to pick up, that was a Friday late day. My son didn't notice anything odd over the weekend because he doesn't work on weekends, so he typically is at home or out with friends, ie not in need or using his phone. The following Monday at work, he realizes his phone has no signal, which means he cannot get an uber ride home, or make a call. Google what the issue might be, seems it's common for installers to damage the interior antenna when installing a new screen. Contact batteries plus, they say stop by so they can take a look. Guy comes from out back and tells us that we need to get a new Sim card..? No.. no we do not need a new Sim card.. the other guy says leave it, and we'll see if we can fix it. 3 more days pass, the manager calls and says they can't fix it.. we can either replace it or you can opt in for an upgrade.. (oh sales pitch?) I let him know that we don't want an upgrade, we dropped off a perfectly functional phone for a screen replacement, now it's cost me 3 weeks of going back and fourth to get my son at work, because he can't get a signal to get uber.. I am leaving work to do this! Gas, time, money.. it would have been cheaper to go buy another phone! So the manager says stop by, we'll lend him a loaner phone, while we wait the 3 (more) days for a "replacement " phone to come in.. goodie.. Fast forward, replacement phone arrives, we pick it up the phone.. its the same make and model however, it's a complete pos.. it will not hold a charge, it over heats and shuts down.. excellent.. not! Back at square one.. should have just bought another phone to begin with.. horrible. Don't walk, run.. now we get to buy another phone anyway..after spending so much money (130 to replace the screen, 22 bucks to transfer service to the loaner phone, 3 weeks of time & gas) read more

Terrible consumer service had fixed my phone and bought a screen protector with it, 4 hours later phone was broken again they did not fixed it right, went back to see if i can get it fixed again after spending over $150 and bc they're was the smallest crack on the corner in my new screen protector they said i 'dropped my phone and broke it myself' have no problem spending the money to get it fix again but after only 4 hours of getting fix is breaks when i did not drop it ? and am i not ever suppose to bump my phone bc it might break again from there poor work? and told me that i'd have to pay 160 again i refused when i just got it fixed, so he said i can just pay 60. if your cannot trust your work do not do it. i rather pay triple that with better consumer service and to ensure my phone doesn't break again. i am a business owner n wouldn't let my employees act that way, calling corporate and fixing it somewhere else. read more

5 stars for the selection and service- I've actually been here on a few occasions and each time I've received great service and they always have the battery that I need. On my last visit, I was in need of several replacement batteries for my UPS. So, I called and the tech assured me that they had them in stock. Well, I drove 30 minutes on the assumption that they would only have a few left by the time I got there. To my surprise, they had about 20 on the shelf ! Sadly, they were not the exact match to my current batteries and it was noticed by the tech who assisted me. The great news was they had some in the back room and he seemed very willing to retrieve them for me. After going through the ordeal of setting up a tax-exempt account at the register (to the folks waiting behind me - Sorry !) he actually helped me carry them all out to my car. Great service- thank you! On other occasions, I've purchased a replacement car battery there and they installed it for me which, is really nice since they have the tools to cut or loosen rusted bolts, corroded terminals, and other difficult items. For selection, they have LOTS of different bulbs, batteries, and other car trinkets that you might need. I'll definitely be back. read more

Be Careful!!! Bought a motorcycle battery here a year ago and paid more to get a better one - Duracell® Ultra that included a 24 month Warranty. Now my bike won't start so I attempted to charge the battery on a battery charger and it won't charge higher then 6 volts. After calling the store I was advised that the low voltage indicates that I was negligent and didn't maintain the battery properly and the warranty was void. How about a cell shorted out or something else unrelated to me occurred? Seems like a scam and I will no longer do business with this place. On their website it does not have any warranty terms and/or conditions listed and just says "24 Month Free Replacement Warranty" read more

If you want them to break your iPhone, not take blame, call you a liar, not apologize, and not make it right, I highly recommend using these guys. I brought in my iPhone 5 because my battery was failing and as a result I was getting poor performance. I'd rather not spend $21,000 on a new iPhone, so I figure the $59 battery repair would at least get me another year or so. (Yes, I realize I sound cheap here. But the only thing wrong with my iPhone is the battery, so for a frugal guy like myself, this sounded like a great alternative!) I bring my iPhone in, and the guy behind the counter checks out my phone, we agree that there are some dings to the phone, but nothing crazy. I take it out of my case for him to work on, he takes it to the back to work on it, replaces the battery and comes back 10 minutes later, and my screen is completely screwed up! The screen is lifted up and out of place, and there are lights coming from the inside of the phone that would have obviously been seen before he worked on the phone. He said the phone was already like that. I said you're out of your mind. He said you brought it in like that! I said you're crazy! That would have been in your notes! We would have both seen that! He says are you calling me a liar?? I said YES! You broke my screen! I said get me your manager. With a smirk, he says he IS the manager (come to find out he's the NIGHT manager). I said you're out of your mind if you think I'm leaving and paying for this. He says well what do you want me to do? I said FIX YOIR MISTAKE. He huffs and puffs, goes to the back again to fix it, comes back with a guilty puppy dog face and says quietly...I broke the screen :( He says best thing I can do is work on it, replace the screen and get it back to you tomorrow morning. I said fine. Next morning he calls lets me know my phone is done. I get there and the home button doesn't work. I said hey, the home button doesn't work. They take an hour to work on it again. Still not fixed. He says, look we put in the new battery, and we replaced the screen for free so you'll just be paying for the battery, why can't you just be happy? I said I DIDNT WANT A NEW SCREEN TO BEGIN WITH. I. JUST. WANTED. A. NEW. BATTERY. He told me he'd get the part to fix my home button but I haven't gotten a call yet as it's been over a month. There was never an apology and they never took blame for their mistake. I get it, things happen. People make mistakes. But this was uncalled for, unprofessional, and wrong. read more

Don't go here if you need an iPhone screen/battery replaced. I went in to get both replaced and when I got home the "new" battery wouldn't charge above 27% and the new screen was popping up on the sides like it didn't fit correctly. I returned it the next day so they could put another new battery in it. Then the next day I went to use my phone and half the screen wouldn't work. I called and explained the problem and they blamed me and said I most of dropped it. Whatever. So I hung up and went to a place my friend recommended downtown. I explained to him what the situation was. He went in the back to try and fix it. Comes back 20 minutes later saying whoever fixed it before (batteries plus) forgot to put parts to my phone back in and put the home button on wrong. But it was my fault they said, when it just got proven that they didn't put my phone back together correctly, which shows they either don't know what they're doing or don't care about clients phones and just want money. So if you don't want to deal with 3 days worth of hassle and spending more money then you have to to fix it twice don't go here to get your phone fixed. Do NOT take your iPhone here for screen replacement (or any other repair for that matter). They replaced my screen with a cheap knock off, and a week later it stopped working altogether. I should have known when I picked it up, and noticed the screen indented when you pressed in it, unlike my other iPhone. From researching the issue (apple logo loop), its most often the result of an improperly installed or inferior quality screen replacement. They now say they're unable to fix my phone, and it's nothing they did. I should have looked at yelp reviews before I took my phone to them. STAY AWAY! read more

My husband and I purchased a 12v deep cycle battery for our trolling motor ($95.) and a black battery box. ($12.) We were not sure the battery box would fit in our canoe so we decided to try it and return it if necessary. It did not fit well. We did not use it or even put the battery in the box. Batteries Plus Bulbs return policy is within 14 days with receipt. On the 10th day (a Saturday) we went to return the box and the associate said he did not know if it was returnable. There was nothing indicating it was non returnable. Then he said, it has been 10 days since our purchase. We reminded him we had 14 days. Then he said, well the box looks scratched. We showed him every box on his shelf has a mark on it. Then he said, we would have to come back on Monday when his manager was there. (We live at least 20 minutes away.) We were not getting anywhere with this guy. We left the store shocked and upset by what had transpired. On Monday, my husband went back to the store and returned the box to the manager without any question. He didn't want to rehash the entire story of what happen the previous Saturday. He just wanted to return what we could not use. However, we will never return to the store ever again! read more
