I was impressed. I could not get my laptop complete loading to the log on screen which prompted my second visit. The harddrive was failing but they were able to recover some important data. The cloud backup had not recorded anything for the past 5 years so although I was glad I got some of that data, getting the recent data was very important to me. Although I struggled to find the recent data, they were finally able to steer me directly to it. I was SO RELIEVED. They replaced my hard drive with one with lesser capacity but still plenty large. I got all my data back and the new drive, and even though I had to follow up a couple more times to get to the data, the cost was most reasonable. I would recommend Lightning Repair highly. Also, the young men working there were all friendly and knowledgeable.

When I called the company's tech support, I was told that the warranty only covered the box for a year, and that they no longer refurbished or repaired boxes past warranty. The company stated I'd have to purchase a new one, at considerable cost. I refused to spend that much cash again so soon after its purchase, so I started calling around to multiple tech repair companies. About half of the companies I called never bothered to call back, and the other half stated they only worked on phones. Finally I got a response from Ryan of ZCR Technical Solutions, who stated that while he had never worked on a Litter Robot before, he was willing to take a look at it. While he was a little out of our way (Indianapolis to Martinsville), he was willing to travel to any location with a mileage cost. The wife and I chose to pass on having him drive to us, and instead decided to drive to him. I'm more than pleased that we decided to make the drive, as Ryan fixed the issue in a timely manner, and at what I considered to be a VERY reasonable cost. He was friendly, communicative, and kept us up to date on the progress. Aside from Litter Robots, he also works on phones, tablets, laptops, computers, gaming consoles, and more importantly vintage repairs (as long as he can get access to the replacement parts).
