Avoid this place at all cost- especially if you are a Purdue student. They will take advantage of you. I went here because it was in walkable distance from campus and I was desperate to get my phone fixed. The touchscreen on my phone stopped working, so i went in for a replace screen. Cost $150, pretty routine. They broke my face ID on my iPhone X after putting the screen in. A week later the screen shattered without me dropping/harming the phone in anyway. And not just a cracked screen- the entire phone blew out and did not work at all. It never worked again and I was told it was unfixable by Best Buy and Apple (due to the poor service and installation by iMechanic) I knew the screen they gave me was at fault. I went in and was told no (after NO ONE looked at my phone- just the robot talking to me) and was told that the warranty doesn't cover if the screen is damaged...even if they are at fault for damaging it. I called the main store in Lafayette and asked to speak to a manager. This is where it gets really bad- I was told it was my fault for the screen breaking and called a liar when I said I did not harm the phone/screen and told "I would never find a higher quality part" (like the Apple store doesn't exist?). In my entire life I have never been spoken to as rudely as I had by this manager- my roommates in the room were dumbfounded as well. The second I hung up the phone I burst into tears because of how this man talked to me and treated me. I am a 22 year old female, and it was obvious he felt that he could take advantage of me and thought I was unintelligent. Furthermore- I went to Best Buy (in Lafayette) after and was told THE SCREEN BROKE BECAUSE IMECHANIC INSTALLED IT WRONG. They told me that small businesses like iMechanic are notorious for treating their customers this way because they have no corporate and they see many phones come in that iMechanic has damaged. When I went to the apple store, they also told me the same thing- the screen was installed wrong which is why the part broke. Not only did iMechanic refuse to even look at my phone to see if there was any mistake on their part, but they were so blatantly disrespectful to me on the phone to the point of making me cry. I urge anyone with phone issues to AVOID THIS PLACE and go to best buy or the apple store. The worst business I have ever interacted with. read more

Spectacular service! They would beat a "Genius" at Apple any day! I was really desperate to figure out why my iPhone 6 would not charge. I would have to constantly hold the cable so it would charge. Some cables worked, others did not. I thought the charging port was broken, and I did not want to upgrade. It was cheaper to replace the port, so I took it to iMechanic. I read some reviews online and looked at their website. I believed I was in good hands. I went in on Saturday and explained my problem to Brady. He immediately took it to the back. I thought he was running a diagnostic and was going to quote me a repair price. In TOTAL disbelief, after about 10 seconds, Brady came back and said, "All fixed! Your phone was suffering from 'Man's Disease." I was confused. "Man's Disease?" He said men are more likely to carry their phone in their pocket constantly, as opposed to a woman using a purse. I do carry my phone in my pocket, and lint had gotten shoved into the lightning port causing a poor connection. I was totally speechless. I thought I was going to have to get something fixed. Amazingly, in 10 seconds I had a like-new phone. I proceeded to ask him about my battery performance. He took it to the back again for a test and suggested it was fine. He offered advice on my phone moving forward, and I also asked him about trouble I was having with my MacBook Pro. He offered endless advice and outstanding service, but refused any payment for it. The Keyboard, mouse and wifi card had stopped working. When I contacted every other store in the Lafayette / West Lafayette area I was told they don't work on anything older than the MSOS 7.0. Horrible experience. Took my phone in there 4 times after having the screen replaced. I sat there and showed them the issue the screen was having and they tried to blame it on a software issue. I finally had them put my broken screen back on and give me a full refund so that I could take it somewhere else. Got right in at "Company B" and they fixed it right the first time. Do a simple Google search and go elsewhere. These guys were a joke. read more

Wonderful service. My MacBook Pro's screen was not working so I took it in to have it checked and see if they could fix it. They took about an hour to come up with 2 possible problems and suggested that the LCD display might be the issue. They gave me a quote and said it would take a few days to get the part since the issue was rare and they didn't have any in hand. So I brought it back in to be fixed and it turns out there was just a bit of water damage and the cost was reduced from $515 to $75. Wonderful people and they are very willing to work with you to get everything fixed and working properly. I'll definitely come back if I have any more issues with any of my other apple products. I also enjoyed that they were very up front with their pricing and made sure to call with anything that changed. read more

Should have read the reviews before going to this place. Had a cracked screen on my IPhone (6s 128), all other options worked. When it was returned to me the phone was totally fried. The phone would not turn on and the screen was worse. Offered to replace my phone in a few days as long as I paid $200 and gave them my damaged phone. Seemed very shady!!! Went to Apple Store in Indy and let them look it over, it was clear to them what happened and the phone is not repairable. Multiple areas in the phone where shorted out and not functioning. When back to discuss with Imechanics, I could turn the phone into insurance, I would be out the deductible. I asked them to cover the deductible, Manager of store called owner, owner said "No". Some reason this group wants me to pay them for damaging my phone. I paid the phone insurance deductible (which was less than their $200) and gave the insurance company the full story of what happened (they wanted all the contact information for Imechanics). I'd rather pay the insurance deductible and know what I'm getting than pay these guys and have no idea what I am in store for. Basically, walked in with a working cracked screen phone, walked away with a totally destroyed phone and the owner would not make it right without me paying $200. ???? Completely bad experience they said they fixed my phone charged me and then my phone didn't work so I returned they claim they fixed it and two hours later the screen cracked I returned and they said that it would cost me an additional $70 to fix it it wasn't their responsibility read more
