Their call center customer service line is horrendous - they really do not care about their customers at all.  Like many others, COVID has hit our family and we are barely able to put food on the table and a roof over our heads.  Guardian Protection offered no support or alternative/cheaper plans for the last year of our contract (the first contract I signed with them was 3 years - my fault for not reading the renewal when we moved to a new home that it jumped to 5 years). Today I called to cancel my service at the end of my contract - exactly three months from now. I was told that I could not cancel now - but I had to call back 30 days from the end of the contract.  If I do not, my contract will be renewed on a month-to-month basis.  So, in other words, I call back on exactly  April 20th, or I'm stuck for another month.  I asked that a note be put in my account that I'm canceling now, and giving 90 days notice, but was only told, by Matt, that I needed to call 30 days prior to the end of  the contract. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, Matt took my number (which is already in my account, so....?) and told me a supervisor would call today. Still waiting...

The first time I came to Lightening Repairs was for an issue the counterman was not quite familiar…read morewith. He looked up a couple of things and solved my issue while I stood there! I was impressed. I could not get my laptop complete loading to the log on screen which prompted my second visit. The harddrive was failing but they were able to recover some important data. The cloud backup had not recorded anything for the past 5 years so although I was glad I got some of that data, getting the recent data was very important to me. Although I struggled to find the recent data, they were finally able to steer me directly to it. I was SO RELIEVED. They replaced my hard drive with one with lesser capacity but still plenty large. I got all my data back and the new drive, and even though I had to follow up a couple more times to get to the data, the cost was most reasonable. I would recommend Lightning Repair highly. Also, the young men working there were all friendly and knowledgeable.
