My wife and I went into the store on a Saturday to have 2 keyfobs we bought online reprogramed. The young ones were very nice and said he ran into an issue he didn't know and wished to not screw up the fobs, but his boss would be there on Monday and knew way more about it then him. So, fast forward to today, Monday Dec. 16th. We went in explained the situation to the man there, assuming he was the manager. He told us that they were used key fobs, this we knew, and that he prob would not be able to reprogram them because of the used status of the fob, and he could try for $20. He also said one of the fobs had NO BATTERIE. We then said we would go somewhere else that could reprogram them. He then proceeded to say " fine go find someone else, go have fun at The Key Man!" Walking out the door I said "thank you for the excellent customer service" to which he replied " Maybe not be so rude". Excuse me i was not the one being rude. I then bluntly told him to "Piss Off" and left to go to The Key Man. They had o trouble doing it at all!!!! We will not only NEVER going back, but will never again recommend them for anything. I have to give a shout out to the patient and kind employees at Batteries Plus who have helped repair my dad's eyeglasses at no charge three times even though eyeglasses are not their primary business. I'm sure it was clear that my dad is struggling with cognitive decline yet the two employees last Sunday were friendly and understanding as they fixed the loose screw and then gave my parents advice for longer term solutions. You probably think every Batteries+Bulbs store is the same. That's what I thought and I was wrong. It really is worth the extra 35 minutes to go to the store in Medford. Here's what happened to me: I went online to get a replacement battery for my Mercedes Sprinter. I ordered the battery and scheduled an installation at the Grants Pass store, which is 90 minutes from where I live on the coast. They offered appointments up until 6:00 PM, but I took a 5:00 PM appointment because I didn't want to be showing up around closing. With everything paid for, I jump-started my car and started the long drive. About halfway there, I decided that, just for safety's sake, I should call the store and talk to a real person. The person I got on the phone told me "Well, we might be able to install it at 5:00, but I wouldn't bet on it. He's got to leave around 5:00. He's got other obligations. Your odds are a lot better around 4:30." "Odds? Betting on it? I have an appointment," I explain. "And I'm driving an hour-and-a-half to get there." "Well, then you should probably come in tomorrow. Tomorrow we can definitely do it for you." So I turned around and went home. In the morning, I jump started the car again and drove 90 minutes to Grants Pass. At the store I was told "Oh, that battery gets installed under the floor mat? Yeah, we don't do those. I could still sell you the battery though." At this point I was ready to give up completely on Batteries+Bulbs, but just out of curiosity I tried buying the battery and scheduling an installation at the Medford store. No problem, they could do it in an hour. When I showed up at the store, they took my vehicle in right away. They had the battery I ordered and started the installation. Turns out the battery that the website had been recommending for my vehicle all of this time was the wrong one. No problem, they had the correct one in stock (bigger and a little bit more money, but ok). I was in and out of there in 30 minutes with the right battery and a great service experience. What a difference! So definitely avoid the store in Grants Pass, and go the extra few miles to Medford where they will actually take care of you. read more

I'm so happy to see this business open up in my home town of Grants Pass. I've been going to the one in Medford for years, so this will be really handy. On my visit to this new store today, I found it well stocked and spotless. The staff was very helpful in figuring out what batteries I needed for my Yamaha Waverunners. They had the batteries in stock and fully charged. So I was able to get things swapped out quickly. Their prices are reasonable and in line with other outlets. They also have a wonderful variety of other goodies. I can't help but try out their wide collection of super bright LED flashlights too. They have just about everything you'll ever need when it comes to batteries and light bulbs. All those pesky batteries that are strange sizes or voltages are all right inside hanging on a rack. My husband's phone mic needs to be fixed ASAP because he uses it for work, we tried calling using my phone several times and they never answered. There site says they are open today but instead the phone just rings and then goes to an answering machine. If they want buissness then they need to learn to answer when someone calls. actual business hours don't match web. needed a car battery on a Sunday. their web site says open sundays but sign on door says different. second time they've screwed me. first time they told me they had a battery in stock but it was wrong type. just "leave a message" on machine, no store hours or 'we're closed. Justin gave me good service. Even made me an offer I couldn't refuse with a discount coupon. but when I went back to receive my flashlight that they had to solder the price was $10 more than I expected. The clerk refuse to honor what Justin offered and no initiative to inquire. I will not be doing business with Batteries Plus. read more

Never trust these people to fix your phone screen. I had a minor crack on the top of my screen. The touch screen functioned just fine, but the crack was distracting. Brought it to BPB for replacing. The 1st replacement screen was defective; it would jitter around, and typing anything on the touch screen was very difficult. So I brought it back, and the clerk diagnosed it was a defective screen. They replaced the screen a 2nd time. While the 2nd screen performed better than the 1st, it still was jittery and unreliable. I phoned BPB and they said to come in on Thursday when the new shipments of phone screens were to arrive. I get in on Thursday to see Justin working at the counter. He recognizes me, and accuses me of lying about their replacement phone screen being defective. Justin had the gall to tell me that my touch screen stopped working because I abused my phone, and that all the screens sent to BPB are quality tested. I let him know I didn't appreciate his accusations, and he demanded I leave. Well Justin, if all your screens are quality tested before being sent to Batteries Plus Bulbs, why did you guys diagnose my 1st replacement screen being defective? If all your screens are quality tested, you wouldn't have any defective screens now would you!? Buyer beware... read more

Dont ever use Batteries Plus in Grants Pass. They couldnt make me a key that worked and couldnt get the key fobe to work either. David said he would order the key with a fobe at no extra charge after the five button key did not work. - I have a witness!!!David lied to his manager, over the phone who accused me of having an after market electric start EVENTHOUGH it has a FORD logo and I bought it with 15 miles on the car, brand new from factory. He said I was not truthful about having an after market product in my car--- again not true, and refused to give me back my full refund.. I was smart enough to record the phone conversation while on speaker phone. So it can not be disputed about how the employee lied or gave him incorrect info to his boss and then the manager accusing me of being shady and refusing to refund the full amount for a key of $189.99 that didnt even start my car and then a key with no fobe.... It's clear to me that this business is shady and will take a customers money..... to be clear the employee said before the purchase that my money would be refunded if it didnt work.... and after the first fail he would order the key with a separate fobe.... then only gave me part of a refund!!!!! I had a problem with a freezer bulb I bought that wasn't due to anything they did and I called them and explained what had happened, right away the salesman told me to come on down and they would replace it free of charge, they were so kind, friendly and very helpful.
