One of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I made an online appointment to have my iPhone battery replaced, arrived on time, and left my phone with them. After two hours, the work had not even started. While I waited, an employee rushed to replace the battery and cracked the display in the process. They replaced it at no additional cost, so I did not make an issue of it. The original display had no physical or functional issues before the visit. The replacement display was noticeably different in clarity and was not properly sealed around the FaceTime camera area. Less than a week later, the display stopped working. I called the same day and was told to bring it in the next morning. I arrived as soon as they opened, expecting the display to be repaired or replaced. After several minutes of paperwork, they opened the phone and accused me of having it repaired previously. I am the original owner, and no one had opened the phone before this visit. The interaction then became insulting and disrespectful. Overall, this was the worst in-person customer service experience I've ever had. The small cost savings were absolutely not worth the poor workmanship or customer service. read more

Great Experience @ Batteries Plus in Medford, OR. !! I finally needed to replace my original car battery and decided I would be making my purchase at Batteries Plus. I came to this conclusion for 3 reasons: the dealership was way too over priced and tried to convince me to replace it long before it needed to be, I didn't have as much confidence with a local competitor, and my previous experience with Batteries Plus employees at this location has been ideal. Ie. I have tested my battery a couple times here earlier in the year and they were always willing to take the time to check it out, free of charge. When I started my car throughout the day today, I knew it was time to go ahead and make my way here, and get it done. They had 3 different car battery options for me to choose from, all of which were reasonably priced. Alex was ready to get to work. Not only was he confident and experienced when replacing my battery, he politely answered all of my questions. We were looking for a specific bulb (not LED) so hard to find. The staff greeted us right away and asked what we were looking for. They looked everywhere to see if they had them in stock but didn't. The mentioned a couple of other places to try. (We had already tried the other places.) The staff were very knowledgeable about all types of bulbs and tried to be helpful. You probably think every Batteries+Bulbs store is the same. That's what I thought and I was wrong. It really is worth the extra time to go to this store in Medford. Here's what happened to me: After making two trips to the store in Grants Pass, which had promised twice that they would install a new battery for me and let me down both times, I drove the extra 35 miles to Medford. What a difference! I was in and out of there in 30 minutes with the right battery and a great service experience. So definitely avoid the store in Grants Pass, and go the extra few miles to Medford where they will actually take care of you. read more

While installing a $350 battery the managed to dump all my presets, pin the positive terminal cover behind the battery so it cannot be used, did not put the terminals down flat and marred my my paint with his belt buckle or zipper. And was connecting the negative cable first. Not correct. I thought since this is what they do they would get it right..l The next day two of the Managers who were not available prior repaired the the tray and cable issues. I was having trouble charging the battery on my Sony Cyber-shot camera. Not knowing what the problem could be, and also being an out-of-town visitor, I did a Google Maps search that led me to this store. Bret answered the phone and was immediately friendly, which encouraged me to make the 22-mile drive from Ashland, where I was staying, after Bret confirmed that he had the size battery that I needed. On the way to the store, I could see that I was passing a Best Buy store, but immediately dismissed it as a possible destination, solely on Bret's telephone friendliness. Once he put the battery in the camera, it seemed that it was accepting the charge, and Bret was willing to let me keep it plugged in for a while, as I walked around a bit, to see if that would continue. I just ordered 2 batteries online that the website stated was IN STOCK IN MEDFORD however AFTER I ordered them I shortly got an email (below) telling me they do not have them in stock at all. I then followed the instructions within the email and called the store. (Saturday Aug 14 2021, 2:30 pm) I was handed off to a woman who would not stop talking, she would not stop long enough for me to ask a question so I was forced to raise my voice over her never ending blah blah blah, when she finally heard me ask "why does the website say it is in stock and accepted the order," she immediately told me to stop yelling at her and began blaming "corporate" and it isn't her or her managers fault... I was attempting to ask a question and again she would NOT stop talking. She then hung up on me, I called back four times, having someone pick it up and hang up without saying a word, before she answered the phone, I immediately asked to speak to someone else, she refused. It is very sad that you have people that are more concerned about "being in control" and their "feelings" than making a sale or making it right for a customer when YOU SCREWED UP, all I did was try to order a battery from a battery store that stated on its site was IN STOCK and all I got was an excuse making woman that would not stop talking, and yes I did ask her to "stop talking" and she told me she would not and then cancelled my order and told me to buy my batteries somewhere else. That's "girl power." I never got the chance to ask her how a group 31 battery compares to what I actually ordered to determine if it would be acceptable but, she would never stop talking and never lose the attitude. After this terrible experience I looked to see if a group 31 would have been suitable for my needs and I found SLI31MDP Duracell Ultra BCI Group 31M 12V 700CCA Flooded Marine & RV Battery, in stock, that would have in fact been acceptable and even made the store a few extra dollars off the "enhanced" sale, BUT THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN. I have done a daily nationwide satellite radio broadcast (internet also) since 2008 and your "team member" just got you some free advertising. One day I received a call saying I owe them an addition $30 for freight on an order I placed and prepaid for a week earlier. I told them no thank you, please cancel the order and I'll get elsewhere. Justin from southern Oregon took my number and said he would review video to see what happened, said he would call me . 3 weeks later I called him. He said nothing happened during repair. Okay this it's gonna be a long one. Basically about a month and a half or so ago, I dropped my phone off at batteries plus bulbs in Medford to get the screen repaired. It was fixed and I picked it back up. Well within a couple of weeks the whole bottom half of the screen just stopped working. So I brought it back in to have it fixed again. Honestly I ended up leaving it there for a few weeks after that because I was just super busy and I kept forgetting about it. About two weeks ago I called in and asked if I could come pick it up. A lady on the phone told me she was going to charge it for me and that I can come get it. Well yesterday I went to go get it and they told me I had already been picked up. Apparently by somebody other than me, which is ridiculous because why would they give my phone to a random person? or let a random person take my phone? I texted my mom and asked her if she had somehow picked it up and she said no. I told the employees that and they said "well ask her again because she did" and they laughed. A lady named Samantha Myers was the worst one. She sat there and argued with me, told me I must've gotten it and I don't remember, that my moms lying to me, all this stuff. She kept just saying "well somebody picked it up, so". At that point I was just so irritated so I went outside and my friend went in and talked to them about it since he was with me when I dropped it off the second time. They told him my mom stole it, that I'm a liar, that I'm delusional, all of this appalling stuff. Then my parents came to talk to them about it. They argued back and forth and the police even ended up getting called because they would not give me my phone. They basically told us "well somebody picked it up so it's not our problem". Samantha then said "well i took it out that day and charged it and when i came back it was gone". And the guy said "yeah me and my buddy were messing with it while it was on the desk". So they were messing with my phone? And just left it out totally unprotected? What kind of business has that horrible of customer service? What kind of place that you are to trust with your phone just gives a phone away to a random person? They ended up telling my parents that maybe somebody who doesn't like me picked up the phone. Uhm what? So you're admitting you could've just gave it to a random person? All three of them seemed like they had a story planned out so they honestly probably just kept it because it was there for so long and they thought I wasn't coming back for it but I did. Their story ended up being that I am the one who picked it up and the guy in there said "it was definitely your daughter who picked it up, i've seen her two times in my lifetime. " so we asked for camera footage. They told us to wait outside. A little while later the man came out and said "I have your daughter on camera picking it up. I'll bring the camera footage out to you, then you can deal with your family problems at home." WHAT? So I left but my parents waited to see the footage. About 30 minutes later you can see them all kind of arguing inside the store. Then he comes out and says "it was in the recycle." What the hell? So after they said my mom stole it, I'm a liar, I'm delusional, we can handle our family problems at home, he has me on video getting it, all those lies they HAD IT? In the GARBAGE? That's the kind of business this is. They will lie about you and argue rather than try to deescalate the situation, give your phone out to random people, put screens on that break within a week, leave your phone out on a desk for anybody to grab, mess with your phone, and throw your device away. The way they were arguing it was like a bunch of little girls in high school. I have never in my life experienced more unprofessional people. So unprofessional that they would talk badly about a customer to their face when they were in the wrong the whole time. And you guessed it, they never even apologized. DO NOT GO HERE! Frustrating. I set an appointment online for 10:30 today for an iphone battery replacement a week or two in advance. I show up and they don't have the battery in stock. Opportunity for process improvement...as you know you'll need the battery, either reserve it, or call the customer and let them know you don't have it. The young man at the counter not only found the correct battery quickly, he also repaired the bottom for me at no charge so that the scale was flat worked and worked correctly. Well, we went to Batteries+Bulbs for a battery for a key fob. Noticed that they program key fobs cheaper than other quotes we got. So we had it done. But the first guy that tried couldn't do it after several tries. Plugging and unplugging in his device to our computer. So he got another guy who had more experience. He couldn't make it work so he unplugged his device, looked at his plug and said this might have something to do with it. So he bent two prongs back into position and re plugged in and got the fob programed. Then when we went to leave we had warning lights all across the bottom of dash to do with Check Hybrid system, antilock brakes, traction control and two other lights. So we went back in and asked if they could make them go off. The boss came out and checked our battery and informed us that our battery was toast, but he wouldn't put in a new one because the computer would have to be rebooted or something like that. So I asked if they could fix the warning lights and he said your lights came on because you have a bad battery. I said they didn't come on until you plugged into our car to program the key fob so could you clear them? He said no and was quite rude. So we went o Les Schwab tires and had battery checked, they said it was good. But we had a new one put in anyway because the other one was 7 yrs. old. I called Batteries + and told the boss about what happened at Schwab and he told me they were lying to me because they didn't want to or couldn't reset the computer. I told him they are responsible for the problem with our warning lights because they never came on till we had your guy plug into our car with his prongs bent. He was a complete jerk saying your not going to put this on us, we did no wrong. So we went to Lithia Toyota today, had to get an appointment. They struggled with it for 2&1/2 hours, having to reset everything having to do with our antilock brake system. It cost us $136.00 to have it fixed. The tech also said we were lucky that Batteries+ didn't fry our computer by putting their bent prong plug into our car. So moral of this story, don't let Batteries+ touch your car. I had a iPhone with a broken screen. All other functions of the phone worked. I actually used the phone for months before deciding to have it repaired. I had mobile madness fix a phone before but they were a little expensive and someone told me that batteries plus could do the screen repair. As I was waiting to be helped in the store I decided to wipe the phone of my personal information. When turning the phone over to the consultant that helped me he told me that because the phone was in the setup menu that he couldn't check the other functions of the phone. Because I had been waiting for 15 minutes to even be helped I said that's fine everything else works. I gave them my information and was told that I would be called when the phone was fixed. Three days later no phone call. I called the store and asked if the phone was ready and they said yes come on down. I went to the store to pickup the phone. The screen had been replaced but wasn't sitting flush with the phone. You could actually see the lights of the phone under the screen it was sitting off so much. The consultant helping me said "oh ya I couldn't get that to sit down because of a cord that is there under the screen" I told him that wasn't right and that I would not be taking the phone until it was fixed properly. He said he would have someone else look at the phone and call me when it was fixed. A week later and still no phone call from the store. I decided to call and check in. They said the phone was fixed and ready to be picked up. When picking up the phone I noticed that the screen had been glued and pushed down to make it flush with the rest of the phone and the home button no longer worked. I asked for the manager. He told me that because the phone wasn't checked out at the beginning because of me wiping the phone that they had no way of knowing if the home button had been working in the first place. I told him that I had been using the home button right in front of him when checking the phone in to be repaired. He said he didn't remember and that to wipe the phone there were ways around using the home button that I could have used. He basically called me a liar to my face and said there was nothing he could do. By the time I had noticed the home button wasn't working I had already payed. He did not and would not refund my money. Long story short. I took a functioning phone into this store for a typical screen replacement and payed them to completely break it so that it was not functional anymore. I will never do business with this company again. I have already steered multiple people away from this place and will continue to do so. Take your phones to mobile madness. Friendly customer service but tricky with the batteries for life deal on watches! I brought 2 fossil watches in for the $15 each watch batteries for life! Supposed to be free from now on when needs replaced. Here's the catch.....I had no idea my watches had 2 or 3 batteries each! The guy told me it is a rare occurence so they will only cover one of the batteries in each watch, so I will have to pay for each individual battery thats extra every time (so 3 batteries if i bring both in)! It shouldnt matter, it should be all within the deal and be free! Instead of it coming to $30 like I thought, I had to pay $42! :/ I paid only because he waited to tell me this after the batteries were already installed and at the register! I went in for a new laptop battery. I brought it with me to make sure that I got the correct battery. They ordered it and said it would be a week to 10 days to arrive. They called me to say that they had the battery after about a week. They ordered the wrong battery, or the company sent the wrong one. I had to go back and they said that they weren't sure who made the mistake. I explained that I am needing the battery to start some training and needed to get the right one as quickly as possible. After a week I started calling to get an ETA on it. I got non answers and they kept telling me that they would call me back to update me on it. No callbacks. I called and they just stopped answering the phone. Seriously. The phone would ring for 5 minutes until it just stopped ringing. I would call back and let it ring for 5 minutes. I did that 5 times. To get me angry is quite a feat. They have to really work to get me angry. These guys are a joke. Dont waste your time with these clowns. I would rather have gone through HP or even Amazon than give these people money. I am a firm believer in keeping business local, but with this kind of behavior it's not a problem to buy online. I made an appt to get cellphone battery replaced. Realized I couldn't make it that day so I called two days before and asked to change my appt time. I was told that the appt would be cancelled at the store and I would need to make a new appt online. Fine. Then I got an email that said I "missed" my appt. great. Made a new appt, went in at exactly the right time, and found that they didn't have the correct battery. Supposedly, a new employee approved the appt without checking to see if they had the correct battery. Too bad for me. They will get one tomorrow morning. Clearly I was to return to get it replaced. I mentioned that it was not easy to get there from where I live and I got a neutral agreement. There was no expression of regret for having made a mistake, or acknowledgement of the inconvenience they caused for me. Determined to not do business there again. We came here to have mobility cart batteries tested and they took it in the back room to test. Came out and said we needs 2 new batteries, cost of $100. We then went to Battery Systems and they checked it on the counter in front of me and showed me that they are taking a charge and just need to be charged longer since they were completely discharged. So my Mercury Sable LS 2005, the battery was on the brink of death, to the point where it almost wouldn't turn the car over. Having been previously recommended to this company as they have a local franchise here in Medford, OR where I am located, I went on-line, found battery for my specific model and make, purchased it with the in-store installation as my choice when completing the purchase. On their website, literally on every page right under their menu selection on the top of the page, says "Free installation on car batteries". After placing the order, I called the local franchise location I was ordering my battery to, spoke to a gentlemen who told me they saw my order on their screen and to come on in to get it install. As I hung up with them, I received my email saying "Your order is complete and ready for your installation now" email.I barely got my vehicle to turn over knowing this was most likely my last time starting the car on this battery. I got to their location and was greeted with a quite unprofessional employee. I showed them my order is ready paper I printed and they told me that they never said on the phone that my order was ready and called me a liar. When I asked for a refund, they told me that it will take 3-10 days, this angered me as I just spent all my funds till next payday on the battery from this company. They proceeded to tell me they don't even have the battery in stock and when i asked if they could give a jump as they have car jumpers right there, they told me no and the manager was just sitting in the back looking at me and laughing at my frustration. I was left with no item i purchased, no money back, and no jump to leave their parking lot. I am so angry, disappointed and truthfully blown away at the level of professionalism, the lack of management and especially at the customer service.
