I went in this store on a Sunday after looking at the new weekly offers hoping they'd be stocked up with what they advertised. When I arrived right when they opened, I asked the guy with dyed hair in the front and a mask on where I can find a specific item (post it dispenser) and he told me to go to aisle 2 where post its were. I would have appreciated if he actually took me to the item as he was not doing anything but standing there in the first place. I went to look for the post it dispenser only to be greeted with low stocked shelves and not the item I was looking for. I perused around the store and enjoyed adding items to my cart and then took a dispenser to the front cashier (2018359) he tried his best to help me get the post it dispenser I was looking for by looking at the SKU, showing they had it in stock and directed me to the person I already interacted with when I arrived. He walked me to the post its and I asked if he can look in the back. It took about 2-3 minutes and this employee walked right by me to the cashier 2018359 and delivered the post it dispenser. As a customer I would have appreciated if this employee connected with me more by bringing what I asked directly to me instead of acting like I was a bother or nonexistent. I also would have appreciated if this employee actually brought more than just my item out to add more to the shelves in case other customers like me wanted to buy it. This makes the customer experience AND the employee experience more enjoyable because it is efficient to make sure stock is out for customers to get. I surely hope this Staples is receptive to feedback and makes some positive improvements to make customers feel welcome with good interactions so customers want to come back to shop here.

After two hours, the work had not even started. While I waited, an employee rushed to replace the battery and cracked the display in the process. They replaced it at no additional cost, so I did not make an issue of it. The original display had no physical or functional issues before the visit. The replacement display was noticeably different in clarity and was not properly sealed around the FaceTime camera area. Less than a week later, the display stopped working. I called the same day and was told to bring it in the next morning. I arrived as soon as they opened, expecting the display to be repaired or replaced. After several minutes of paperwork, they opened the phone and accused me of having it repaired previously. I am the original owner, and no one had opened the phone before this visit. The interaction then became insulting and disrespectful. Overall, this was the worst in-person customer service experience I've ever had. The small cost savings were absolutely not worth the poor workmanship or customer service.

They said they don't do anything for free and had no idea what I was talking about. They took over in May and aren't honoring any of the previous agreements. I asked how long of a drive it was from my location to Eagle Point and he said it would be about 45 mins. When I pulled into his driveway he called and told me he had opened a store at Rogue Valley Mall and that he was actually there (meaning I had driven 25 minutes further than I needed to). I drove the 25 minutes back the way I had come to Medford and went to the mall to Smart Help where he now works. I let him know I didn't want to spend too much money and he asked what my budget was. I asked him how much transferring documents and giving me a quick rundown of the new Mac would be. He quoted me $200 to update my old MacBook, $150 for the external hard drive that I told him I was not in the market for, $150 for transferring my documents, $100 for wiping my old MacBook and $100 for a "recorded dock tutorial." In total Todd tried to tell me it would cost me $700 to get documents off my old laptop onto my new one "the right way." I called around and got 2 quotes for what I want at $40 and $45. I dug around in the reviews that are not recommended and others seem to think he is a scam artist. Needless to say I left his store after having wasted time but thankfully not money.

He is dazzled by all the bells & whistles that Apple provides. He truly loves their products. AND he tends to oversell in a way that my husband and I consider deceptive. In my case, I am moderately technical. I view my Apple products as business tools. I needed Todd to focus on setting up very simple systems for me to run my two businesses. It was hard to keep him focused on teaching me the basic things I needed to know. Finally I went with Ronald Gehrmann, a CERTIFIED Apple Support Consultant (which Todd is not; check Apple's website for yourself) who greatly simplified the set-up and the processes Todd had given me. The steps went down from 10, for example, to 2 or 3 to get the same result. Now that is exactly what I want: Simplicity that leads to results.
