I drove from Weatherford for a 10:00 A.M. appointment to have the (2) Batteries replaced in my 2003 Dodge 2500 diesel. I was expecting to wait as I know the traffic in the Hulen area & figured Batteries + would be busy.. Turned out I was the only customer & the Manager Brian took care of me in Quick order. Stay away from all Batteries Plus stores. I've already left another review on the store at camp bowie whose manager called me a liar. This store sold me a faulty lawnmower battery, and refused to return the battery robbing me of $80. When I purchased the battery the employee did not test the battery in front me and only told me they come charged and ready to go. I purchased a new, "Duracell," Batteries Plus battery February 2017 for my Nissan Rogue. Came with a 48 month free replacement at a price of $199.99. December 2019, that battery went bad. So I go back to the store on Hulen Street. It was obviously within the warranty so they did replace it at no charge. No arguments and was treated with respect. June 2023 now, and this battery is so weak it barely cranks the car. At least I got about 8 more months out of this battery. So I go back and sure enough it tests bad. Now I receive a quote for $260. The warranty has expired. I guess they tried to make up for the free one I got in December 2019. Lol Anyway, Charlie tells me, "Nationwide battery shortage has raised the prices." "Hmm, ok," I say. I didn't walk out of Batteries Plus. I ran and drove to the nearest O'Reilly Auto Parts and bought the exact same battery with the same 640 cold cranking amps with a 3 year warranty for $150.60 out the door. Talk about Batteries Plus price gouging! Buyer BEWARE! Always shop the competition. You'll likely find a better deal elsewhere. read more

They would not take back a car 'vent mount kit' for my cell phone because they deemed it 'in used and in an unsafe ale condition.' I applied the 1/2 inch adhesive to the back of my phone and applied the vent mount in my car... well it was so heavy it closed my vent. In 102 degree weather in Texas you obviously need your air conditioning vent. So the question is: how do you know a product works if you don't use it?! I will never shop at this company again. So I lost $35 for a 1/2 inch adhesive mount that I had to use to try the product. They would not send back to the manufacturer either. Worst company either. $35 ... Let me start by saying that I never ever write reviews online; however, after my visit to the store today I had to write a review for this place! I initially went in to have my key fob replaced (They were the cheapest place I found to perform the repair. Even other batteries plus stores charged more.) Initially the technician had some issues reprogramming my fob, but he went above and beyond to make sure the fob was programmed correctly before I left. He even stayed at work after his shift to make sure the job was done right. After the fob replacement was completed we discovered a problem with my car battery as well. I purchased another battery and thought everything would be fine. For some reason one of the bolts holding in my battery seized and the battery replacement seemed like it was going to be impossible for the staff to replace. They entire staff went above and beyond to make sure the battery was installed properly and that I left the store happy. Although the entire visit took much longer than expected, they were relentless in making sure I was happy and the job was right. You simply just can't find customer service like that anymore. I will be returning there often and telling everybody I know!!!!! read more

I was really surprised to see this location only had three stars. I looked and all the bad reviews are from 2017 and 2018. I don't know if they got a new manager or what but I thought the customer service was top notch. Brian the manager helped me out with both my motorcycle battery and car battery. I was upset at first bc when I searched the battery on their website it said it would fit in my motorcycle, it didn't. The return was easy and he found me a battery that would fit. On another occasion he replaced my car battery for free. It was still under warranty but I didn't expect the process to be that easy. I would drive out of the way to go to this location. My experience with the staff at this store is that they have been friendly and try to be helpful when I have shopped for batteries and bulbs. Today I had them try to program an internet purchased key fob for my truck. The cost is $70 with the caveat that if unsuccessful the customer still has to pay half. After about 30 minutes the service person told me that the key fob was inoperable and suggested I send it back. I paid the $35 and went to the Ford dealer who was able to program the fob without any issues. Buyer beware. read more

My husband went in for a Simple key fob battery,$20.00 later i called another location was inforned they were franchise ok no problem,however i was informed that they only charge $5-10 for the battery and install,hulen tells me its a warranty i dont give a crap about a warranty and installation i can do that myself,instead of trying to sell a warranty focus on your customer's needs,if i didnt have to leave a star i would not have. read more

Do not count on any battery guarantee from this store. I purchased a battery for my motorcycle and it stopped taking a charge from my trickle charger. I took the battery in and left it. I was told the battery was fine when I picked it up. Once home, it again would not charge with a trickle charger. I changed the trickle charger as I own two. Neither one would work. I again took the battery back and the manager would not honor the warranty. He was very argumentative and I picked the battery up,and told him I wouldn't be back. As I left he got a real smart mouth and told me to learn more about batteries. The irony of it was..I was leaving and he didn't have to insult me. I told him he was making a mistake and he said he wasn't afraid of me and suggested I do something about it. He wanted to fight me. He should be fired. Avoid this business at all costs. read more

I had a very poor experience here. I entered the store in search of lightbulbs and was not greeted or acknowledged the entire time I was in the store. The employee working at the time was an thin older man with glasses and a mustache. He never offered assistance, acknowledgement, nor tried to placate the situation for taking so long. If you want someone to talk to you like a dim-witted child and try to bait you into an argument, this is the store for you! The clerk, who later identified himself as the manager was extremely rude and had no regard for me as a paying customer. Hey, I like supporting small business even when it often means paying a premium. Buy normally you get better service by shopping at such places. Today I went in to this store, where I have shopped many times before, to buy a couple of somewhat uncommon bulbs - a large clear globe and a clear, amber-colored light for a decorative exterior lantern. They were out of stock on the clear globe but had a $30 LED version. The store employee could not seem to grasp what I was looking for in the other bulb. He became obviously frustrated and his tone suggested I didn't know what I was talking about, which really put me off. I decided to go ahead and spend the $30 on the LED. At the register, he made a comment about having irritated me, which in no way sounded like an apology or even basic politeness. He was extremely disrespectful and suggested that I had "had a really bad day or something". I told him that everything was good until I came in and got talked to so rudely. I told him he could keep the bulb. He kept at it. When I told him I wouldn't be back, he said "good". So if you don't mind handing $30 bucks over for a bulb while the salesperson tries to pick a fight with you, shop here. Otherwise, I recommend you look elsewhere.
