Bought a Duracell battery that did not last a year. Still under warranty they gave me a new battery but said it was only a one time deal. New battery did not last 6 months. the one star is because at least the staff were decent people, but unfortunately, the materials they use are subpar, less than 24 hours after having my phone repaired the glass shattered, nothing out of the ordinary hit it, it just shattered. Well my Craftsman garage door opener was chirping indicating time to replace the battery. It's for power outages. I would still be able to use the garage door to get in via battery use. I came here at store opening 9am. The guy on duty, K. Davis was very friendly. He knew his store very well. I brought the old Sears DieHard battery with me, and he brought me right to the shelf where the battery supplies are kept. The price is so much more reasonable here. Sears cost about $15 dollars more. Here it cost me $36.29 and that's WITH tax. I highly recommend coming here for garage door opener batteries. Duracell Ultra is just as good if not better than DieHard. Thanks Mr. Davis. You made my transaction super easy and for taking the old battery to recylce. DON'T GET YOUR PHONE SCREEN REPAIRED HERE. Very disappointed with the repair that was done to my iPhone 8 Plus phone screen. Went in to have my cracked screen repaired and when it was returned the screen was a much lower quality. The colors are way less vivid than they used to be. I compared my current screen to another iPhone 8 and the difference is very noticeable. The colors are dull and have a slight blue tint. I took my phone back in to be fixed and the employee seemed very annoyed and was not helpful. He replaced the screen again but acted like he didn't even see anything wrong with the screen. The second repair didn't fix the phone and he told me there was nothing he could do. I paid 160 dollars for them to fix the cracked screen and instead ended up with a diminished display. Get your phone screen fixed somewhere else! read more

BP replaced my IPhone 6s battery in 10/21. It never really performed much better than the old one but I figured it's what I get for using an old phone. I just dropped and broke my screen today at 4:30. (5/22/22) By 5 PM, they were replacing it. I mentioned the battery issues and at first they said "it's 79% which isn't bad". After doing more testing , they saw it was wonky and said they'd replace it no cost. Yay! I'm waiting now for them to fix the faulty screen that was installed. At that point, assuming all goes well, this will go to 5 stars. read more

My comment is regarding the Federal Way, WA store. It was 1/12/21 at 7 pm. I was able to get the light bulb i was looking for but the person "helping me" was unnecessarily rude, really, for no reason at all. I asked two basic questions, if he had a certain light bulb and then a question about a prompt on the credit card machine which was confusing. Apparently that was too much to ask. I finally asked why he was being so rude to me and he motioned to the door. Very odd behavior. Got a smart-assed answer from the clerk (Justin). Ran down the manager (Chris) sitting in a company car in the parking lot...at least he gave a few more options on where to find the bulb. My car battery wouldn't hold the charge for about a week now, no big deal, call up Batteries Plus and Bulbs because that where I bought my car battery from. They look it up and assure me that I was still in my warranty. The staff told me he would like to do the test and it will take about a day. Ok great! That same weekend ( 10/11/2020 ) I went to BPB and told the staff about my battery. He looked it up and told me I was out of my warranty already. Hmmmmm I told him that I called and one of your staff told me It would be fine. He told me NOOOOOOOOO. Well what a waste of my time then. Don't ever come here if you're expecting good service or for them to honor their guarantee. I came here before for a couple batteries so I can work out of my truck. I thought the manager Chris K was having an off day the first time I came in. He checked my battery and told it was bad and suggested I replace them which I did. Did not offer to help replacing them, just take my money. Three months out of my one year warranty my batteries crapped out. I come back and he tells me it would take all day to test the batteries which was a load of crap. I told him I'll go tested them at an auto part store which he said nothing and wasted my time. I drove down the street to O'reilly auto parts. The guy did a test and told me the batteries are bad. I came back to B+B so they can honor the warranty. Chris tells me it will still take all day to test them. I asked why can't he just replace them under warranty. He gave me more bs on why he can't help me get back to work. If you run a business or need help, DO NOT COME HERE. They will take your money and give you the finger. I now know Chris did not just have an off day. One can say he is extremely lazy, unfit for the job, maybe racist? I wonder if I was a pretty girl or had same pigment would he still treat me the same. read more

Friendly smiles with not much behind them unfortunately. Took my Samsung S8 in for a screen repair, which the tech Conan apparently does multiple times a day, and got a new screen and a broken charge port returned. Took it in the next day, was told to leave it, came back a day later, and there was no progress, and the techs there weren't even aware my phone was there. Waited another day for "diagnostics", then another WEEK for a potential fix. At this point I asked for my phone back and did not return. My charge port is still broken and I'm stuck using a wireless charger I bought from Best Buy. I know that I could have them fix the port on their dime, but I honestly have no faith that they will do it right, and I don't won't to lose my phone for another week or more. Plus the staff kept treating me like I was trying to scam them...all I wanted was my phone to work read more

This store has just about anything you'll want so far as batteries or bulbs and chargers or power supplies. They can usually get the item pretty quickly if they don't have it on site. Prices are fair, but it is sort of niche store with a limited range of products. I had dropped my I-Pad and destroyed the screen glass. I took it to Batteries + Bulbs, I know they don't use original equipment replacements... they also don't repair on site but send it to, "corporate." Everything else on the pad was fully functional. So off it went. I got it back a little over a week later. Screen is repaired. I was happy with it for about $160. Once home I find that the audio jack doesn't work at all, is totally loose in its location. Take it back to store, send it back to, "corporate." Two weeks later I get it back, same screen still on it. Audio jack is nice and tight on the case, works if you only want one side of your stereo sound. I went to Best Buy and bought some wireless Bluetooth head phones, with noise suppression. They work nicely! And I don't have to hear the wife snore. In the future I'll probably just pay the big bucks to Apple. read more

Really frustrated. Walked in, asked for batteries for my Apple TV remote. Guy was friendly, courteous. Knew what was required and even installed it. EXCEPT it was the wrong battery. A 2025, not the required 2032. Now I have to drive from Kent to Federal Way to return them. These are the battery experts. You can trust them to know their stuff, especially on such a simple matter. This place reminded me of every bad Radio Shack, you know - before they went out of business. This was my first & it will be my last shopping experience at Batteries Plus Bulbs. EVERY SINGLE STEP of my shopping experience went awry. I enter the shop - no greeting, no eye contact, no "how may I help you?". So I look at camera batteries myself, and am scolded to NOT go behind the counter, even though there is NO sign. I wait 5 minutes in a tiny store for 1 of 2 clerks to help me. He finds the only battery for my DSLR camera & claims that it will work. I bring my camera in the store - he sees it. There's no mistaking what model I have and which battery it should need. As soon as I get home, sure enough my camera factually lists 'battery not compatible with camera'. I take it back to another store to return just 3 days later & they crookedly try to get away with telling me time is up and it's out of state, before actually doing the math on the dates. I was finally able to return the battery after the hassle of having to convince the clerk that it hadn't been 30 days. read more

I went in to get my iPhone looked at since the screen would not respond to touch and I did everything that I could to fix that via resetting the phone and tips via the web. The guy at Batteries Plus did not even look at my phone. I explained the problem and he said the only thing that would fix it was a screen change. Total BS. Man...this went from bad to worse! Left an iPhone there for a replacement on the cracked screen...that was the bad. When I picked it up the ear piece no longer worked and he blamed the phone...the worse. When he put back on the cracked screen...it worked fine again. The tech tried to blame it on a refurbished phone...next day got fixed no problem at another store which stated this is known issue with unqualified techs. I've been into this store two or three times, and the counter people/lighting specialists are very, very helpful. Today I decided to bring some of the low-watt bulbs that were left behind in my condo and see what B+B could do to change them into lighting that really, well, lighted up things. I have recessed lighting in a hallway, and a sconce light in a bedroom, and by myself in someplace like Lowe's I would not have figured out good replacements. But at B&B I had the personal assistance of Konan who found better bulb and lighting choices for me in no time. I brought them home and voila! - NICE BRIGHT LIGHTING! I had my watch battery replaced less than one month ago. I stopped in today because the battery had quit working. The man at the counter laid my watch upon a battery tester and said the battery was fine and suggested I take it to a watch repair store. I went to the Sears watch repair and they tested the battery and said the battery was no good and was not charging at all. I then had Sears replace my battery and the watch immediately worked fine. I went in to purchase some batteries. I asked if he could help me change out the battery on my car key. He said it would cost $19 for that service. I then asked if I can borrow the screwdriver to change it myself. The guy said, no. I can't let you use our tools to change out the battery. Well. I should've walked out right then and there.
