1.5.24 This is my 800th Yelp review. Went in to buy a 12 volt battery. One of the young men asked me if I needed help the second I walked in. I showed him a photo and away he went to get what was needing. Quick, fast and knew exactly what I was needing. Great service. I paid and away I went. Called store in College Station, did not have car battery in stock. They called Bryan store and they had one. They put it aside. Went to Bryan, the guy had it on the counter. He installed it. Used a device that saved all my settings, that was something I had not seen before. He changed out the battery in about twenty minutes. He kept a conversation going as he worked. I had some unexpected car problems and needed a new battery. I called in ahead of time to see if they had the battery that I was needing and if they could replace it for me. The gentleman on the phone set one aside for me, and when I was able to, I could go to them and have it installed. When I got there, I explained the issue and the employees got me set up with a new battery very quickly. The whole thing took about 20 minutes. read more

Excellent service!! Fast and professional. Last week, I was unable to charge my iPhone, and assumed that I needed to replace a battery. I was on my way out of town, and needed a quick solution. I didn't think twice about taking my phone to Batteries Plus, as they had helped me fix a phone that had been exposed to water. This time, it turned out that my battery port was clogged with dust. I didn't need a new battery after all. I just needed the port to be cleared of dust. They did this quickly for free, AND also checked my battery to confirm that it was still capable of taking a charge. I was in and out in 10 minutes, and able to leave town on time. With a team of attentive, available and knowledgeable staff, I was able to find exactly what I needed even though what I needed was rather rare and I possessed very little information for them to go off of. My experience there was very pleasant and their prices were affordable. Amazing! My car key needed a new battery and at first I went to autozone to get one, and it made it worse (my car wouldn't turn on). Autozone told me it was my remote but then these angels, with their high tech gadgets, told my I wouldn't need to replace my remote. It took maybe a minute for them to fix it and relieved so much stress. read more

I ordered a battery online and drove to the store to pick up my order. They didn't have my order ready, so the guys at the counter had to look it up. They were friendly, but didn't seem to know which battery to pull off the shelf. This left me fumbling for my phone, scrolling through emails trying to find the part number since I didn't want to get the wrong battery. After some time, they found it, and assured me it was the correct part. My issue here is that all y'all do is sell batteries. I mean, you're a store that specializes in batteries, so you'd think your staff would know which battery to pull for an order. Just saying... you're a battery store... y'all should know everything there is to know about batteries... y'all should be battery wizards... LOL read more

Do not let them change a watch battery!!!! You may just end up with a plastic bag holding several pieces of your watch like I did! I brought my Timex T498269J watch in for a battery change. The employee asked how much my watch was worth. I told him the watch was probably about $50. The watch was functioning when I gave it to him. It is (was) a dual analog and digital. The analog function had slowed and was no longer keeping the correct time. He proceeded to attempt to change the battery. After approximately 40 minutes he returned the watch. I told an employee by the name of Canyon, a manager, that they broke my watch, since no part of it was still functioning. They were also unable to close the back of the watch. They gave it back to me with the back opened and acted as if I couldn't hear them mere feet away being unable to successfully close the back. The battery compartment was full of finger prints and the battery was installed incorrectly when I was given it back, in a plastic baggie. When I stated that they needed to make this right Canyon told me "come on your watch was broken, that's why you brought it in here". Canyon would not help me in any way to resolve the issue with my now completely useless watch. I contacted the main customer service number and after they reviewed the incident I was contacted and informed the location's management team held to the fact that the watch was broken when it arrived at their store. They did however admit to not having the correct equipment to successfully close the watch. So in short the location broke my watch, began working on a watch that they did not have the correct instrumentation to close, and has now lied about what they did to their corporate headquarters. I was visiting the area on vacation from the East Coast when my phone broke and needed to have the charging port replaced. In this case, the part that contains the charging port also happens to contain the microphone. I had no idea at the time. I gladly paid the fee and was on my way, but I was more than a hundred miles down the road toward my next vacation destination when I realized that the microphone didn't work. When I got home, I did a little research then went to one of those phone repair kiosks in my local mall, and the guy quickly put in another module -- for half the price of Batteries Plus! Bingo!! Both the charging port and microphone worked fine. The one installed by Batteries Plus was defective. Ugh! The guys there should have known that the microphone was part of the module swap, so that should have been checked before I walked away. I think they're a sharp team....this one just slipped through the proverbial cracks. read more

Replaced iPhone screen & it shattered after falling off my lap onto the floor only TWO WEEKS after I repaired it here. I've had my phone for two years before the screen broke for the first time. The screens are horrible quality. What seemed to be a manager told me to basically go screw myself because I caused it to crack. Seriously?? Tried multiple times to find a battery I needed for a radio I had. Every time I called, they would constantly put me on hold...come back on the phone and ask me the same questions multiple times. After about an hour of that, they finally admitted they couldn't get the battery and they would not give me a price to rebuild the one I had even though I gave them the details (voltage and capacity) to do so. I ended up going to another store in town to get my battery. read more

My car's alternator and battery both decided to quit on me recently and the car shut down while on the road. We were able to push it off the main street and wound up right in front of a Batteries and Bulbs store. A very respectful and helpful store owner saved the day with a jump pack so we could start it and drive it into a proper parking spot. He then diagnosed that the alternator and battery were both toast. I bought a new battery from him and he installed it so I could take the car home to replace the alternator myself. After I had the new alternator in, he even offered to do a volt check to make sure that everything was functioning properly again. I spoke to a guy on the phone named Jerry and he assured that he could order me a new key fob for my Ford Fusion. I assured him over the phone that it was the 5 button push to start version and that I need it by the next day and was willing to pay the over night shipping cost because I needed to go back to Austin. I went to the store and again went over which key fob it needed to be (5 button push to start) paid for it and he ordered it assuring me it would be here the next day around the same time I ordered it. I go into the store the guy at the counter (did not get a name) gives me the fob and it's the 4 button one that's not usable for push to start. Not only did they order the wrong key but they also did not offer to do anything about it like re ordering the correct one so I would have it by the next day to go back to Austin, and maybe giving a discount of some sort for the inconvenience. All he wanted to do was refund my money and did not want to deal with the situation at all. This place has horrible customer service and should not be trusted to handle any situations. read more
