I dropped off my phone and told the rep I was going to shop for a bit. I came back 40 minutes later and the rep said that he couldn't get the case off as the screw was stripped. I bought this phone 6 months ago and I had never had it worked on. He must have stripped the phone. So, I wasted 40 minutes and he stripped the screw. He said I could wait for 2 days when their manager came in....forget that....don't take your phone here for repair. There are many other places nearby which are cheaper and better. read more

Went and got my screen replaced using the coupon. Worked out good. I asked also asked to get a new tempered glass screen. Of course I cracked my screen again but thought it was my tempered glass screen but after looking it's my actual screen. I just phoned and the person was nice and "looked up" my paper from November but he said it did not show on my paper I requested a tempered glass screen protector. My bad I guess I have to do their job too and double check the instructions I gave them. Time to buy a new screen again I will not go back if I have to do your job too and pay for it. I needed a iPhone 4S battery. I called this camarillo location and they told me they had it. I arrived 20 minutes later to be told "we don't have your battery in stock." I explained I just talked to someone (possibly you buddy) and now that I'm here you don't have it? He offers to call the Ventura location and as I wait for the next 10 minutes he magically gets 1 in stock and sells it to me. However, they are too under staffed to do the install so I'm told ill have to install it myself. I return home and install my battery which doesn't make my phone turn on. I took the phone to UbreakiFix in Ventura and they not only fix it right away but tell me I was sold a iPhone 4 battery not 4S. Then to top it all off -- batteries plus (or now batteries and bulbs) would not allow a refund. Please take my experience and realize this is a bad stop. Don't shop here! read more

Best service I have ever gotten when it had to do with my car. I was having a terrible day because my battery had died and they made it all better. EXCELLENT customer service. The people who helped me reminded me of my grandpa and my uncles, who are super nice! They even fixed up an old part (not sure what it's called) that had rotted away at no extra charge. I was in and out and would recommend Batteries Plus-Camarillo to anyone. I took my other car there a few months later for a new battery and install and got similar customer service. I had a horrible experience at this battery plus bulbs store. I have taken my 92-year-old mother there several times to replace her watch batteries. They've always been kind and courteous and charged $5.95. We went in there the other day with two watches that needed battery replacements. There were two new people we didn't recognize behind the counter. We showed them the watches and asked them to replace the batteries. They said that will be $12.95 for each watch. We asked why we are being charged more than double from previous times. She said well there was a promotion and a coupon before and the regular price is $12.95. We were outraged. They didn't offer any senior discount or customer loyalty discount just repeated back that's the company policy and there's nothing they can do about it. My mother is on a fixed income and cannot afford $25 to replace two simple batteries. There seemed to be no option that these two clerks or Managers offered. They actually were quite rude and could care less in offering help or other options. My mother and I will never return. There's too much competition for watch batteries and good customer service elsewhere. Don't waste your time going to the store. They'll treat you rudely and not care if you walk out the door and never come back. read more

Came here because I received a coupon in the mail for $10 off a car battery purchase and realized my car was due for a new battery soon. How convenient! I looked at prices at o'reilys and auto zone before coming here and found them to be very comparable. They offered more of a selection here, however, and offered free installation, cleaning of the terminals, corrosion protectors, and free recycling of the old battery. Was in and out of there in about 10-15 minutes with a brand new battery with a 4 year warranty. No complaints here! Don't take your phone to get fixed here, my wife and I both had terrible experiences. After they changed the screen our phones started going crazy and kept having to be reset. Also, they use a really cheat screen that you can't see with polarized sunglasses. The place in the nearby outlet mall is way better. read more

He very quickly took it apart, and then told me what the problem was, and why it was working erratically. These guys are great. I came in with my car to get the battery looked at since the car was not cranking like it used to. When they noticed it was a high end battery, instead of trying to sell me a new one they said to call the company and see if its under warranty first before spending my money. Unfortunately I dosnt have the original receipt but I never forgot the time they took to really help me instead of just selling me. Nevertheless, I came back in two weeks and bought a battery from them. They got down and dirty, installed my battery while I waited and was really just good people to do business with. I only regret not tipping enough because my battery mounts were such a pain in the ass not to mention it was past dark which was not really in their policy! Stopped by to have my car battery tested. The store has an $8000 computer that does this. Come to find out my suspicions were correct. I had a bad battery (after four years) and the store manager replaced it with a new battery. They upgraded my new battery at no charge because the cheaper battery I wanted to buy was not in inventory. From start to finish, I was driving my car with the new battery installed in 20 minutes. I would give zero stars if I could. Worst customer service and attitude ever! I took my car key fob to get a new battery. The employee took it behind a screen for a minute then brought it back to me stating he had changed the battery. I commented to the store manager that I thought it was strange I never saw the package or that he didn't change it in front of me. I was taking his word that it was a new battery. He said next time I could ask to watch, at which point I said maybe next time I will go to a different store. He said that's fine, you can do that. The employee came back and asked me if I usually watched when I had my car serviced - very confrontational tone. He did apologize "for the confusion." Actually I was not confused; I'm quite sure these people are not really interested in providing good service or retaining my business. FWIW the key seems to work fine. It would have been so easy for them to just offer to change the battery out for a new one so I could watch, so I can only suspect they are doing something shady back there or were trying to antagonize me intentionally.
