As someone who has a vehicle as a workspace, without it working properly, I don't make money. So my vehicle was having issues and I needed a specific part (battery) for my car ASAP, because again, unfortunately I live the cliché, that "time is money". I do a quick search online to look for the part I needed. This location comes up and proudly boasts "order now, and pick up in store the next day at 8AM." Sounds too good to be true, so, as I've learned the hard way before, call and make sure. A gentleman answers the phone, sounds like I woke him up from a nap because he sounded quite lethargic on the phone. I ask him if the part I needed is in stock. He tells me it is not, BUT, it will in store by 8AM. He proceeds to ask for my name and phone number (as this is the info I need to provide to pick up my part). We hang up, and even though my vehicle is "hobbled" for today, I can pick up the part early in the morning the next day and start working. I decide to pass by the store around 9. I walk up, tell an associate my name and number and tell him I'm here to pick up my battery. He looks at a cart that I believe has parts and finds nothing. He looks through notes and finds nothing. Several other associates come up and one says, oh yeah, that battery. It'll come in at 3PM. To which I say, why didn't anyone tell me it'll be in at 3? There's about 4 associates around and he replies, I'm sorry, but there was no customer info regarding the battery, but I received an email telling me it wasn't coming in until 3 today. So whomever took my order (Julio I believe was the name they kept saying), asked for info, without updating the order or telling anyone about it. Fantastic. I told them, OK, thank you. I drive not 2 miles to AutoZone and pick up the same part, at the same price. Out of courtesy to O'Reilly, I did call and tell them I no longer need the part as I went somewhere else that had it. The associate who answered my call said, thank you, but it wasn't necessary to call and tell them. Sorry O'Reilly, but if you just did you part and at a minimum, let me know prior that my part was coming in at 3, instead of having me find out when I got there (9-10AM), I would've still bought the part from you. **Update, so someone from O'Reilly calls and leaves me a message saying that my battery had arrived (about 3PM). Interesting, as that morning, the associates who were completely clueless on why no one contacted me about the battery coming in late (told me they didn't have my contact information), all of a sudden had my contact information. I went to Oreily to swap some warranty parts and I sense some crooked stuff from the sales associates. They told me their manager said they have a limit on how many times I can swap a part that is Lifetime Warranty. I thought that was absurd and knowing they were making up their own policy on returning I started to see a pattern in the way they did me before. I've been coming to this Oreily since I moved to Camarillo over 5 years now and today was the first time I've ever been told that. After reviewing the Warranty policy I found that the only time a part warranty is void is when the vehicle is sold to someone else. Well I still own the vehicle and if Oreily doesn't honor their warranty they have to refund the cash back for the part. So, I had an issue with this current manager before when I came to swap the old part for the new. He looked up my information and he said the item was not under warranty anymore! I told him how since I knew from my records that it was under warranty. He said that the last time I returned the parts they were "cashed out" meaning I had returned them for a refund. I told him that was not true and I showed him my old physical parts I had on the counter. He printed a copy of the sales receipt to see who was the associate and when I told him ask him why he practically deleted my warranty parts and refund those items to keep the cash! The Manager who was a "heavy set Mexican older man" said to I can't because I fired him already. I was so livid since Now I was a victim of an internal theft from an employee who worked their. I AM ASKING CORPORATE TO INVESTIGATE THE MANAGERS AND ASSOCIATES WHO WORK AT OREILY IN CAMARILLO. PS I ONLY USE MY VEHICLE FOR REGULAR DRIVES TO WORK AND HOME AND ALL HIGHWAY MILES. read more

They don't take care of their customers thats for sure. Long storey short the district manager Ivan wants me to pay to have their piece of crap transmission removed but I'm not paying anymore as I've paid enough . The service sucks ! Bottom line if your vehicle needs and engine or transmission don't use O'Reilly's as power torque is the manufacture of their engines and transmission and they suck! The current staff at the Camarillo location needs to do better. I've been going to this location since it was Kragen's and have never had a bad experience until today. And - the experience wasn't mine. Here's what happened. I was in the store, a woman walked in carrying a full oil container. She was dressed in what I would assume to be work clothes - clean - not dirty - not something you would work on a car in. She asked if she could have the container emptied and not any one of the 3 men behind the counter offered to assist her. Instead one pointed to the tank and said she could empty it herself. She did but you could tell she was taken back by their lack of assistance. Had she been in dirty oily work on the car clothes - this would have been fine. I bought a new battery for my 2018 Honda Accord. I first spoke on the phone with Salavador, the manager, and then met him in store. He was very kind and helpful and replaced my battery for me. At first the battery did not fit because of my engine type, but Salvador offered me reasonable options to move forward and we got it all figured out. Shout out to Chris. I took longer than normal at Trader Joe's due to the virus. My wife stayed in the car and played the radio. After loading my groceries in the car, mostly frozen/refrigerated items, the car wouldn't start. In a panic I went into O'Reilly's seeking help. I was told I needed an air filter when I had an oil change. I decided to do it myself. I went to O'Reilly's to buy an air filter. I checked the air filter before I went into O'Reilly's and the air filter did not look bad. I told the young man in the store and he came out and checked my air filter. He told me I didn't need an air filter and he also cleaned where the air filter sits. He would not take a tip. I thought that was so nice of him. I will definitely go back there again. read more

Needed a headlight bulb. Dealer wanted $135 to diagnose and first minimum. Called Chris at O'Reilly here in Camarillo and he started asking me what color I wanted and other info. He clearly knew a lot about bulbs. I went for the bulb and he didn't try to upsell me and he double checked that I was getting the right one. Sold me a $16 bulb. Great service and a friendly dude.
