I think not! I called several car services that couldn't help us due to the last minute booking. Fortunately, I reached Craig at Roman Bath Private Hire. He picked us up at the train station in a spotless, very comfortable car, ran us out to the hotel to drop our bags and dropped us off in town for lunch at a Thai restaurant he recommended (a wonderful meal), and an afternoon walking tour of the notable sights of Bath. Then he worked with us to put together a bespoke tour of Lacock Village and Abbey, the lovely village of Castle Combe and countryside, finishing up at an overlook in a park with spectacular views of Bath, river and surrounding area. The next day, he drove us to our airport hotel by way of Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral, two sights added at his suggestion. We would not otherwise have seen them, so we jumped at the chance to do so. We arrived at the hotel relaxed and ready for dinner. Craig saved our visit to Bath, making great recommendations and suggestions that made the visit so much more special and enjoyable. We would definitely choose his service when we return to Bath and highly recommend Roman Bath Private Hire for anyone visiting the area.

I spoke to the driver concerned and we exchanged e-mails confirming the date, time and cost. It was a 4.30 a.m. pick up to catch a flight at 5.35 a.m. Richard at Ansom Cabs failed to arrive. I tried to telephone him and left a message asking him to 'phone me back. At 4.50 a.m. my husband decided that we would have to drive to the airport and we caught our flight by the skin of our teeth. They were just closing the gate! We had no petrol in our car and had the worry of how we would get home all through our holiday. Not the most relaxing way to start a long awaited vacation. My advice is do not rely on him. We have not heard a word from him and we have been home 2 days. Utterly useless!

I can't imagine what happened that morning with these other people, maybe it was personal problems at the time, but still not good when you have a plane to catch.. The back sliding door was opened and then I was abandoned to get in on my own, no check that i had fastened my seat belt and I had to close the door myself because the driver was already in their seat. We then went the longer way around to get to the main road. Upon arrival I paid and was once again left to open the door and get out on my own and close it. Not a word of "are you ok?" or "can you manage?" No feeling of being considered as more than something sitting in the back seat. The vibes I got were not friendly.
