Well, simply, whenever you book a taxi through Streamline Taxi, the friendliest cabbies in Bristol, they'll save your name and phone number to greet you for the next time. And it's likely that there will be a next time once you start using Streamline. They're always on time, call you the minute they're outside wherever they're picking you up (great for not waiting in the cold outside the pub) and will take you the quickest possible route. But my favourite thing about them is how personable all of their drivers are. I had the same driver take me and pick me up from a birthday party, and he remembered what I'd bought them, how old they were and who was going. "Did they like the photo album?" Fantastic! Streamline taxis may not be the cheapest firm in town but they are the most reliable, friendly and convenient.

This can be a little bit scary, but shows their level of efficiency and I have no problem with them doing so. They've been operating in the city since 1937, so clearly know it well. They promise a taxi within 10 minutes of your call, unless at very busy periods, in which case they'll tell you the soonest they can get there. The drivers have always been friendly in an honest way - you can often get those who force conversation in order to to receive a tip, but their drivers don't generally try to do so. I like the fact that they keep their shop looking nice and colourful. I like having a central office on Gloucester Road I can walk into. They're open 24/7 too and while their prices are admittedly following the current order of taxis nationwide, they do provide a friendly professional service. Which is what you want really, isn't it?

Wait time varies, but they are normally pretty quick. I have never called for a cab to visit me from these guys, I just use them to get home when I'm in this area, and they are a reasonable price. A terrible service…read more I booked a car for 5am so I could catch a 5:30 train. Being only a 5 - 10 minute journey at that time of the day I thought I was giving myself plenty of time. 4:50. Receive text saying that my car was in its way. All good so far. 5:00. Nothing. 5:05. Hmm, bit late, not to worry. 5:10. Starting to worry now. 5:11. Phone the company. Automated answer telling me car is 1 minute away. 5:13. Phone again. Same message. Try to get put through to driver. Phone rings, silence, line goes dead. 5:15. Get in wife's car and start to drive to station. Wife tries phoning again whilst en-route. Still telling me car is 1 minute away. 5:23. Arrive at station, phone still telling me car is 1 minute away. Cancel car. 5:30. Just about make my train. Uber only for me from now on.
