NOPE…read more Honestly shocked by how expensive Bristol Airport has become. We were charged £8.50 just to drop someone off and we were there for under 2 minutes. No grace period, no short-stay option, just an automatic fee the second you enter. It feels less like traffic management and more like a penalty for saying goodbye. Then inside the terminal, a beer at the Cabin Bar was £8.29. I expect airport prices to be higher, but that's pushing into ridiculous territory. Between the drop-off charge and drink prices, it feels like you're being squeezed at every step. I understand airports need revenue, but this leaves a pretty sour impression and makes the experience feel exploitative rather than welcoming. I'll be looking for workarounds next time and warning friends to do the same..

We ended up in the wrong area simply because there were no clear directions, and there was absolutely no one around to ask for help. To make things worse, if you stop for even a moment to figure out where you are, you get photographed and issued a fine of up to £100. We paused for barely a minute while trying to locate the rental return, and still received 3 penalty notices. It feels less like an airport and more like a trap designed to catch people out. I strongly suggest choosing a better-managed airport--London airports, for example, are far clearer and far less predatory with their signage and traffic layout. I'll never fly out of Bristol Airport again after this experience. Travellers deserve clarity, not confusion and automatic fines. Avoid Bristol Airport if you can.

I tried to telephone him and left a message asking him to 'phone me back. At 4.50 a.m. my husband decided that we would have to drive to the airport and we caught our flight by the skin of our teeth. They were just closing the gate! We had no petrol in our car and had the worry of how we would get home all through our holiday. Not the most relaxing way to start a long awaited vacation. My advice is do not rely on him. We have not heard a word from him and we have been home 2 days. Utterly useless!

Rented a car in Bath, England on Oct. 22, 2023. Car was reserved through eDreams and Allianze car…read moreinsurance was purchased for a total of $267.28 which was promised as the total cost if car was returned full of fuel. Counter guy at Bath was adament that Allianz insurance we had already purchased from eDreams was not adequate and that we should buy Europcar coverage which we finally did for an additional cost of some $100. We were assured that it covered absolutely"eveything"! And he would e-mail me the receipt. Later that day we had a flat tire which ruined the tire and the car had no spare. It was about 6:00 PM and we attempted to contact the Europecar assistance phone number, but didn't know how to make a UK call on our US phones so we had a problem. We were in a rural area and close to a church which had an event going on. A wonderful lady at the church event took pity on us and called the emergency number from her UK phone and the car and us were picked up in a couple of hours by a recovery (tow) truck. Being late by that time we (and the car) were taken to our hotel. The next morning we again had to call the recovery company to take us (and the car) to the Europcar site in Bath. The same counter agent told us it wasn't his problem, that we had to figure out how to get the tire replaced and that the "cover everything insurance" didn't include flat tires and that they were closing soon as it was Saturday. The recovery truck driver went to great lengths to find a place that sell us a new tire and delivered us and the car to the tire place. So $118.10 more and we were on our way again. 3 days later we decided to drop the car off at another Europcar site in Worcester and were told it would cost another 200 and some English pounds. We agreed to the additional cost and were told we would would get a receipt by email. Over 2 weeks later and still waiting for the email, but we ve now been charged a total of $943.78 for a rental that was supposed to cost $267.28 with the original insurance. Have no idea what the breakdown of the charges are for, Europcar won't return phone calls nor emails. neither of the insurances has paid anything and this car rental cost over $300 more than we agreed to. Unfortunately it's not 24-hour, but they go from around 6am to around 10pm (you may wish to check that!) every 20 minutes or so, ferrying passengers on a loop from Clifton via the coach station and Temple Meads, then up through Bedminster to the airport. A taxi will costs you around £22 (so £44 for a return journey) to Temple Meads, while a return on here is just £9 (singles are £6). They're also almost as quick (20 min journey or so), due to the fact that the traffic is so dense for the majority of the journey that a taxi's extra speed is negated (I was running late for a flight once and shelled out for a taxi, only for the bus I'd spurned to pull up behind us as we arrived!). If you're on the route and travelling at a reasonable time, the Flyer beats a taxi hands down for price.
