Having gone to a couple of other florists, that didnt seem to understand how to create the look I was going for, I went to Tina only one week before the day that I needed the flowers. I instantly knew that she was going to be able to accomplish what I was asking her to do. I tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist, and Tina took extreme care in doing everything to make me happy, she did exactly what I asked her to do, and even went as far as disassembling the bouquet to tweak a few small things that I wanted to rearrange. Not only did she create an amazing bouquet for me, and my maid of honor, she also made two awesome boutineers for my husband and his best man! When Tina arrived to deliver my flowers, she saw we were running behind decorating the hall, so she offered to help blow up balloons, and proceeded to stay for almost two hours, and helped blow up all the balloons at no extra charge, she did it out of the kindness of her heart, and I greatly appreciated it... Every other service I called said that you had to kill carpenter bees or else you couldn't be sure they were all gone. I finally found Beverly Bees, and he said of course you can relocate carpenter bees. He came out two days later and took the bees and put them all in his truck to bring back to Beverly (who drives with bees in their truck?? So brave). I was worried they'd come back, but he assured me they wouldn't - I actually waited five days before writing this review to double check, and yup, still haven't seen any bees. And as a bonus, not only did he save the bees, it ended up costing half of the cheapest exterminator service I found.

My eyes landed on some chapstick and I constantly need lip balm at work from the dry air in the lab. After smelling the unique scents, I went with the classically calming lavender! The Salem store is bigger than NBPT, but offers much of the same items, plus Salem-branded merchandise, including clothing. It's in the plaza near the marina so there's a wonderful view to take in steps away. The store has more natural lighting due to the larger windows, but doesn't have as much "character" as NBPT store. I think it's because NBPT is a typical coastal New England city whereas Salem is known for its rich history with witchcraft, which the city heavily promotes. Salem is the place to be come Halloween. Foot traffic here can be high, so you may spend more time moving around people and may miss some of the gems that this store offers. When it's slow, browse. Look at everything. There's so many unique items, a lot that are from local vendors/individuals which is nice to see. If you're in Salem for the history, you should stop by here. Lots of great gifts, friendly staff, and easily accessible location, make this store a no-brainer stop.

They have an entire wall of Christmas village and Halloween village stuff which they don't even bother to plug in or turn on for tourist to see. If you want us to buy your merchandise, we need to see it work and it's just nice altogether to have that on display. The stuff that they get in the store is not interesting. It's the regular run-of-the-mill tourist gifts that you see in a lot of these stores. I understand their needs to be Salem merchandise, but it would be nice to see other funny little things in that store like they used to before. Again, I don't know if it's under due management or it might be going out of business which would make sense why nothing is lit up or on display, but it was very underwhelming and disappointing to see this twice this year in this condition.
