A big, thoughtfully decorated window invites one in where you will find a divine collection of childrens' clothing, accessories, books, toys and other items bound to delight any youngster. The selection is good without being overwhelming and while more pricey than, say, Walmart or similar stores, I think you get excellent value for what you are getting. Some of the lines they carry come from England and are just adorable. And it isn't just for girls - I have got things for my now almost 2 year old nephew which were original and charming. In the back by the check out area, there is a display of some lovely jewelry, bags, and other pretty things for Mom or Grandma too. Or in my case, Auntie! I got two beautiful necklaces and some earrings on my first visit. The owner and her mother run it together and both are just delightful. I've had some excellent conversations there while checking out. Young mothers with babies are often to be found there and it is a warm and welcoming place. They often have sales and weather permitting a table of interesting items outside. Whether you are shopping for a new baby or a five year old, you will find something here that is unique, well made and just what you didn't know you were looking for. Check it out! The associates are consistently helpful, professional, and welcoming. The newer checkout process is handled efficiently, and the line moves quickly. One associate in particular, Lisa, stands out -- she is friendly, efficient, and makes every visit better. This Kohl's clearly benefits from strong leadership and a team that takes pride in their work. It's the kind of store that keeps customers coming back, and I'm happy to count myself among them.

It wasn't at your store either…read more But Wilmington heard about how my elder sister recounted the experience of my mother, who's been a loyal customer since the store opened. At 86 and weighing just 72 lbs, she's battling cancer and needed a little cart to lean on. The fitting room attendant knew she was kind and could see she was unwell. My elder sister didn't want to create a scene because they simply wanted a normal day where my mother could find clothes that fit her new body and attend yet another family gathering. Instead, they took her cart away. She was left holding the wall and her daughter's arm, exactly the experience they wanted to avoid. Now, they're randomly approaching people on the floor, asking how they intend to pay today. Why? Isn't that usually done at the registers? Honestly, depending on what I find at the only clothing store within 20 miles of that community, I'll decide how I intend to pay. This little old lady has children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she's been buying for Christmas, every other holiday, birthdays, and more. Do you really need to come down with your earpiece, acting like a security guard? What did you think those two elderly women were doing? My elder sister doesn't even carry a purse, and I'm not sure what you thought the 72 lb, 86-year-old was doing. But as the youngest daughter, I'll be taking my mother to the only nearby shop, the only option, unfortunately. You didn't recognize them? It's been years! How ignorant! My sister called a couple of days later, after she had calmed down, and she didn't say a word of complaint. I won't ruin anything for my mother, but I won't let anyone make her feel anything less than respected, as she deserves. All she's done for that town and given back. One Yelper even commented to me that you "slit your own throat" with replies like the one you left me. Just so we are clear "slit your own throat" is figurative NOT literal, it is a figure of speech. What was meant by that comment is that you give the unsatisfied customers more credibility because of the harsh reply, it makes you look like the bad guy. If you read Help For Business Owners, Yelp gives some practical suggestions to help Business Owners to respond to negative reviews in a tactful way that helps defuse situations such as this one, instead of being threatening. I mean I wouldn't want you to get sued in return, Yelpers are well protected by the 1st Amendment and Anti- slapp legislation. I amended my review and took out the words that offended you because I am a reasonable person. I do not wish anything bad upon you. I am just expressing my opinion, feelings and telling my experience. I hope your business continues to do well and that you learn from experiences such as the one that I had and improve the customer service you give to your con-signers. Maybe that improvement would be something as simple as agreeing upon a set price to sell the consigned item for before taking it for consignment and putting it in writing.
