I wanted to wait to write this review simply because I wasn't sure how I actually felt about shopping at this particular Bath and Body Works store. However, after shopping at a second store within a week I know can say that the experience was awful.
When I first entered the store, I didn't see any associates anywhere near the from to ask about a particular coupon I had. I then made my way through the store to the "White Barn" portion. I will say, I was quite confused as to whether it was Bath and Body or White Barn at this point. As I looked through the candles, I then noticed all the associates where clustered near the back talking to one another. As I got to the back part of the store, I figured at this point that someone would finally welcome me into the store after being in there at least 10 minutes as this point, but nope. I did contemplate should I even spend my money at this store seeing how it is that they lacked customer service skills, but I wanted to at least redeem my free item coupon. Finally, after 15 minutes of being in the store I noticed the team finally dispersed, one associate came up and asked if I needed any help but at this point I had found everything.
I then found it unprofessional that one associate, I take was the manager started yelling something to another associate at the front of the store. She then walks by me and never says a thing. So of all four associates and 15 minutes of shopping only one says something to me, definitely lacking the customer service. I paid and left and decided that I won't return to this location.
I did my time in the retail industry many years ago and know it is not easy, but at least acknowledge the customer. I did want to give props to the Chandler fashion square location, maybe send some associates there to see how to customer service is done. read more
