She immediately told us that we needed to leave and that we were too young to be in there, not stopping to listen to anything we had to say. As two (admittedly relatively short) college dudes in our twenties we were confused but didn't really feel like trying to argue with her just to purchase something we could get with no hostility next door. Maybe it was because we were two younger males, maybe it was because we were picking up stuff, but as someone who also works retail there were better ways she could have approached us without immediately assuming and shooing us out. But to cut her some slack it looked like she was the only person watching the store and maybe she was getting harassed by some kids previously. Pretty embarrassing experience haha we won't be going back

I said "are you serious?" And she said "yes" when I asked her why she said that they do it "during the holiday season" I told her absolutely not and I went out to my car and took my cards out and left my purse in my car. WHO on earth would feel comfortable leaving their belongings (money especially) behind a counter with cashiers they don't know/trust. Also, I've NEVER heard of any stores doing this. When walking around Walgreens to get my items, there were a few other women in there that had their purses. Absolutely unacceptable.
