Terrible customer service. I was greeted as soon as I stepped foot across into the store, and asked what I am shopping for. I shared that I had a pick up order and the representative states okay. I proceed to the back of the store to get my order. I get to the cashier who then tells me "next time you need to see the rep at the front to get your order". I then tell her that I talked to the rep at the front and told her why I was in the store. The cashier then responds "oh she is hard of hearing" but next time you can check out at the front. What are we doing here? You should've just radioed her if you didn't want to help me. I just came to get my paid products not to start a debate. Please make sure your staff is on the same page and don't undermine or become passive aggressive with your customers. I only want 2 mins of your 6hr shift. read more

While I'm not a Bath & Body Works (BBW) addict, I've been buying their body lotion for almost 20 years. Yeah, I'm old--whatever. This particular location is closest to me, and I've only been a couple of times. If you've been to a BBW, then this one is no different. Pros: I love the cheery, vibrant décor when I walk in the store. The staff at this location is friendly and helpful--tell them what you're looking for and they will point you in the right direction. I pretty much go there for body lotion because it keeps my skin hydrated in the winter. I also love their liquid hand soap, but I'm too cheap to buy them. Cons: I have a sensitive nose and when I get close to BBW, the scents can be overwhelming. Most of their scents are way too "perfumey" for me, but I enjoy their fruity ones. Of course, the items are expensive, but they do have sales, and they will send you coupons via email. Tip: Remember that what you smell at the store (they like you to spray on a piece of cardstock) it could smell very differently on your body. For example: I bought two different lotions the other day. They both smelled wonderful at the store, but when I got home and used them on me, one was way too strong and perfumey for my nose; it gave me a headache. So, I suggest you buy a small trial bottle before buying a regular size... just in case. (They have a display of trial bottles next to the registers.) read more

I tried to go in tonight to use a coupon for my daughter that just graduated in May. I told the employee Jessy that I was using this coupon for my daughter that expired that same day since she was traveling for work (I don't shop regularly at BBW). I was instantly met with attitude and "we can't do that" and "its to prevent fraud" blah, blah blah. Even if that is your policy, the tone in which you convey that to customers is everything! After a little push back, she agreed to try the coupon only to tell me that my daughter's account isn't verified when in fact, it is. It turns out that the coupon I was trying to use expired that morning at 6AM (WHAT????). You could tell that she enjoyed telling me this too! Fortunately, I had a coupon from shopping at Christmas so I used that instead. I checked out and was on my way out of the store when I stopped to ask another employee what Jessy's name was only to turn around and see that she was talking about me to another employee in front of another customer! Smelled Bath 'n Body Works from a mile away! Hehehehe! That's a good thing!! Whatever candle they had burning had me interested! As always, the staff was super friendly! This location is the best example of the worst customer service. My mother shops this location frequently and has never been given anything but a bad attitude and constantly being told no. She took in a screenshot today from an email I had sent her for $10 off $30 and was told they couldn't take screenshots, only the actual email printed off. I go to the B&BW by my all the time with screenshots all the time and never have any issues. My mother is older and doesn't have email on her phone, and instead of ever being helped she is just told "no we can't do that". When I called to speak with the manager Jenny I was given snippy responses and a condescending attitude. This location is horrible, don't give them your money. read more

Like many people around the holidays I decided to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Christmas eve was a Zoo at Chesapeake Square Mall and Bath and Body works was packed also. What I like about this store is that no matter how slow or busy it is they always have plenty of staff on the floor ready to assist and stocking the shelves. I always get my 3 wick candles from here but on my last visit I went to purchase body spray and body cream. The line to checkout was extremely long but hey, what do you expect on Christmas eve. Still one of my favorite stores and I can't wait until the candles go on sale again. read more
