I was so happy I did! I found more than what I needed, and a few extra things also! They have so much cute gifts for anyone & everyone (including a little masculine room & little room for kids). I definitely will be back to find gifts for people, and it feels good to support & shop small, local businesses! Great service, friendly owner- couldn't ask for more.

I have been meaning to stop in for months but I never think about it until I have somewhere else to be and am passing it on Bridge road! Make sure you're looking for it because if you are headed toward Carrollton away from Harbor View it is on the right side of the road but you have to turn off before you get to the bridge onto a little side street right by the Fireflies sign. It's a small gravel road that leads to the shop right by the water. It's so charming. There are about 7-8 parking spaces outside. Once you walk inside it's so cute - there are thousands of amazing little hand-crafted gems inside. You'll find jewelry, housewares, baby stuff, men's stuff, accessories, art, vases, etc. etc. etc. There is a small room off to the left with men-themed stuff like cooling after-shave stuff, ties, and a hundred other neat little goodies if you need a gift for one of the men in your life. In the next room I found more things like scarves, wine stuff, mermaid items and in the following room (with a view of the bridge and water) is a treasure trove of the cutest baby stuff I have ever seen. Like EVER. I need someone to get pregnant so I can go ransack the place. Stuffed animals, Faery doors, wall signs, piggy banks, male and female-themed items... you name it. I wanna buy it for someone. Haha. The main room has a bunch of beachy-themed things, some food stuffs, some pillows, wall decor, house decor, jewelry, globes and lights. I roamed around for an hour looking at everything twice and I still kept finding things I hadn't seen. The lady behind the counter was also really friendly and we made small-talk while she answered a few questions I had on two items I was really interested in but needed to size for my home. I also saw her helping another lady and she was very attentive and customer-service oriented. It's not huge inside - but it is well-done, tasteful, filled with beautiful treasures and good quality gifts and finds. This is going to be a staple for me when I have to find something for a special occasion like a birthday or for a good friend. I'm so glad I FINALLY remembered to stop in!

My mom and I did the Pick Your Project workshop where you can choose from hundreds of wooden creations from decorative signs (holidays, hobbies, etc), crates, trays, and much more. The normal price is $68 which includes your choice of beer or wine. Other workshops include making your own welcome mat, "family fun", succulent/flower box, and all kinds of private events. We signed up online where we selected our pieces (I chose a tray) and added the appropriate stencil words/monogram letters. When we arrived, our spaces at the table were labeled with our names and distanced from other groups as best as possible. We started out with the essentials like aprons and tools for distressing, then got to choose our stains and paint colors throughout the guided workshop. There was festive music, a delicious selection of wine and beer, and the two owners plus one other staff member to help. I ended up purchasing a glass piece to cover my tray for $20, which Scott meticulously fitted for me until it was perfect. I never felt lost or confused during the workshop, always able to flag down someone to help if I needed a little assistance with stencils or extra paint. The staff were all enjoyable to be around, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. It was the perfect way to destress and spend some quality time with my mom! Where there is room for improvement is with their take-home kits. I purchased two online as Christmas gifts for friends. I posted a photo of how they were advertised on the website. When I went to pick them up, I quickly realized they did not contain the same materials as presented online. Namely, the kits were missing instruction cards and a gift bag/tissue paper. I also posted a picture of what the kits contained. It was a bit awkward to carry out all of the materials without a bag keeping each together. I bought my own sawtooth picture hangers so my friends wouldn't have to get their own, since the wooden sign did not include a mechanism for hanging. I wished there were instructions to provide with the gifts as was shown online, which really would have made these feel like "DIY kits." However, I was grateful that they paid attention to my online note mentioning how I was shipping one of the kits as a gift; they provided a small paint kit with multiple colors instead of the souffle cups they normally give, so it was easier and neater to pack. The owners of Board & Brush are wonderful people and I want to support their business as much as possible! Give them a try for your next special occasion or "me day".

The transaction was smooth. I told her what i needed, she quoted me, and emailed me an invoice. We signed the contract and paid online also. Thanks to the Hallmark Gold Crown program, I am constantly emailed extra coupons on top of my rewards dollars and the store usually provides me with a printed coupon each time I shop for the following month. In the years I have been shopping here, and my sincerest apologies for not writing a review sooner, I have yet to have a bad customer service experience. Each member of their staff has been knowledgeable and are always friendly when I stop in. They have a great selection of collectibles for those that are interested, gift wrap (though I wish their value gift wrap selection was as large as it used to be), jewelry, beauty items, toys and games, candy items, stationery, gifts for the bride-to-be and mom-to-be, gifts for hobbyists - they pretty much have something that will fit anyone for any occasion, even if you think they might not. And if you can't find that unique gift, they also stock a huge selection of gift cards so you don't have to drive to another store to get one of those. When I received the quote the next day it was an offer of $13.65. I was told that it's probably because they had a packed kids section. HOWEVER, this was not told to me over the phone or at drop off. I wasted hours of time and energy pulling this together and making sure I was bringing good books to get the max amount. I expressed my frustration with the process when I picked up the books. The person I spoke with couldn't have been more indifferent.
