I always purchased a toy or two. I would say each visit, I'd spend an average of $30-$50 using store credit from my trade-ins and paying the difference in cash or card. I brought business to the establishment and chose to bring my items to this small local store rather than a larger chain like Once Upon a Child. However, the last time I brought items, I included items my sister had given me that no longer fit my daughter or son. Some of the items my sister had given me hadn't been washed, so the owner called to tell me to pick up the unwashed items. I apologized profusely to her and said I would absolutely pick them up and wash them and that since my sister had given them to me, I didn't realize they were unwashed, saying "I'm so sorry, how rude of me, I truly apologize!" My husband drove to the store to pick up the box of clothes and the owner told him, "You aren't welcome in this store anymore". He calls to tell me this, which made me feel worse and I felt terrible for having accidentally brought dirty items, so I called her immediately to apologize again... Turns out, it had nothing to do with some of the clothes being dirty... When I called to talk to her, she told me I'm no longer welcome there because her store "isn't for people like you" and that I can "obviously buy clothes at more expensive stores" and her store "is for people who really need the service"... She profiled me and my family... discriminating against us because she is assuming something about how much money we have??? She has no idea what we make, what kind of life we live, or what kind of expenses we have. She doesn't know if we are caring for a sickly parent or have medical bills for illnesses, she doesn't know anything about our family or why we choose to buy our children's clothes used to save money. And to profile us and tell us that we aren't welcome in her store anymore is absolutely baffling. I feel offended and completely blown away that someone would be so incredibly presumptuous. I was speechless as she said this to me on the phone and she ended the call by saying, "Have a good life." I could probably sue her for this interaction as she discriminated against me based on what she assumes our family income is, but I won't. I'm a Christian and go to church every week and truly believe in being kind and forgiving to every person I meet... so I will forgive this, but I will definitely never ever return to this store and will bring my business elsewhere. My initial review (5-stars): I think this place is great! Items are well priced and she accepts so many different things when taking items in. I've brought baby clothes, crib bumpers, toys, and even a co-sleeper crib. The woman who owns the shop is very friendly and sweet. Very kind and great with my kids! I love that she has a little walled off section for my baby to play in while I shop. I also think it's great that she sells used items that other stores tend not to sell, like crib sheets. In fact, it became clear that it had been sold earlier in the day, but they intended to use a delay in their home delivery schedule to cover this. If we had been told upfront, it wouldn't have mattered. But added to the fact that their posted price matching policy lacks the words "local, physical location" and "physical proof only" (i.e. Websites are not valid, even for local establishments), and that the only accommodation that was offered was a floor model for their advertised price, left us with a bad taste in our mouths. If you're looking for cheap, quick furniture then check them out. But if you want more choices, honest salesmanship, and better prices try another store or Google first.

Not wanting to make an early morning shopping trip, I let my fingers do the walking with an Internet search. The perfect chair was being sold at Target. Checking their Website, I learned that the store nearest my house had the chairs in stock. And joy, I could have them delivered between 8-9am the next day for a $9.99 delivery charge, I promptly ordered two and breathed a sigh of relief. My purchase was actually delivered before 8 & propped against my front door exactly as requested. What great service! The chairs were high quality products. Much time was saved by the delivery. My bad back had been rescued! Decades ago I shopped at Target for household products such as bedding & kitchen accessories. Then I began shopping for those items at a Town Center chain that is now defunct. After my recent experience I will certainly explore the Pembroke Square Store in person. Target has earned my return by offering a quality product & a prompt delivery.

I found out that Wednesdays are the day to shop. Almost every single thing is 50% off. I bought a pair of jeans that cost $35 at TJ MAXX, but with the discount I paid $4!!! They look brand new. I have bought nic nacks, home decor, glassware, etc. Just like any retail store you need to make sure it is in good shape. Most everything is. The staff works extremely hard on Wednesday. They constantly bring out carts of merchandise throughout the day and they have always been so friendly and helpful. I have waited in line up to 30 minutes but it has been worth it. If customers did their part organizing their carts and having price tags readily available for the clerk to read the lines would go quicker. I am very impressed with everyone who works there and the selection of merchandise they have. A big plus is the store is clean. Thank you to all who work there.
