I'm not normally a Target shopper. But they certainly came to my rescue a few days ago. The night before an outdoor event I realized that I needed an "old school" style lawn chair to be comfortable. Not wanting to make an early morning shopping trip, I let my fingers do the walking with an Internet search. The perfect chair was being sold at Target. Checking their Website, I learned that the store nearest my house had the chairs in stock. And joy, I could have them delivered between 8-9am the next day for a $9.99 delivery charge, I promptly ordered two and breathed a sigh of relief. My purchase was actually delivered before 8 & propped against my front door exactly as requested. What great service! The chairs were high quality products. Much time was saved by the delivery. My bad back had been rescued! Decades ago I shopped at Target for household products such as bedding & kitchen accessories. Then I began shopping for those items at a Town Center chain that is now defunct. After my recent experience I will certainly explore the Pembroke Square Store in person. Target has earned my return by offering a quality product & a prompt delivery. read more

Target I visited this Target a few times during my stay in Virginia Beach. This location is on Virginia Beach Blvd and Independence Blvd, and a few blocks from the 264 freeway. Although I didn't go inside the actual store, I did place orders on my Target app so that I can pick up my orders through Drive Up. I purchased items I didn't want (or wouldn't have been able) to pack into my luggage, such as liquid hand soap for my hotel bathroom, bottled waters for my hotel fridge, a small cooler to put in my rental so I can keep drinks cooled, and other items. Note: If using the Target app, this location shows up as "Pembroke". Overall, I found things I needed during my stay, the value for the products I found were great, the merchandise was ready within 2 hours, and the people who worked at Drive Up were wonderful! Oh, and it was conveniently located near the hotel I stayed at! read more

I love me some Target. But the shoe section at this location was almost embarrassing, and i don't work there... Lol. Omg. It was shoes everywhere. All over the floor on almost every single aisle. I couldn't stay in that section too long. The rest of the store seemed more in order. I do like their selection of teas and i was able to find dragon fruit in the frozen section which I've been looking for... They also sell bubble teas, which was a great find. $10 is a good deal for 4... The egg prices are going back down, but all the cheap eggs were all gone... Figures... They only had 1 line open since they have self check out... If i have a couple things self check is the way to go, but I'm not bagging a whole cart full of stuff. There just isn't enough room in the self check out line. All these self check out lines should give you a 10% discount for doing the work.. Lol. I'm just saying. After walking around for an hour looking for stuff that you have to go home and put away too, I'm just over it. Call me lazy i do NOT care... The girl at the customer service desk was nice and helpful. She corrected the price on an item that rang up for more. She made sure she corrected the issue and i appreciate that. All in all it was an average trip... But somebody please clean that shoe section... Its just to murch!!! read more

Never going back to this location. They had a bunch of empty registers and a few cashiers with long lines. Target had no line at the self checkout. I went to the self check out and was not allowed to check out my fourteen items so I told the checkout police she can put my stuff back and I walked out. Never again this is crap. Formal Complaint Regarding Unjust Address Ban on Target Orders Dear Target Customer Service, I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding a recent issue involving my inability to place orders for delivery to my current address through Target.com. After recently moving to this residence, I attempted to place an order only to find that my address has been banned or flagged in your system. I was informed by your support team that Target would not lift the ban, despite my explanation that I have just moved here and have no connection whatsoever to any past issues that may have occurred at this location. I find it extremely unfair and unacceptable to be penalized for actions or history that do not involve me. I am a new resident at this address, and I have had no prior problems with Target or any other retailers. To deny service based solely on an address--without considering the context or allowing any recourse--feels both unreasonable and discriminatory. This situation has caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. I rely on Target for essential household items, and I should not be excluded from services due to circumstances completely beyond my control. I am more than willing to provide proof of my recent move, including lease or utility documents, to confirm my legitimacy as a new resident. I respectfully urge you to reconsider this decision and review the policy that allows for blanket bans on addresses without an appeal process for new residents. At the very least, I deserve a fair investigation and an opportunity to resolve the matter. Please treat this complaint seriously and provide a written response explaining how Target plans to address it. no address should be banned permanently . does not make any sense. read more

This target is very easy to get to and convenient. They share a lot with the mall area so there is never a lack of available spots Target is a curse and a blessing lol I come on here for one thing and leave with a cart full The dollar spot that's located as soon as you walk in always gets me hahahahaha There is also a Starbucks here The grocery is a little over priced in some items but I can find a lot of specialty items I can't find elsewhere I live the women's clothing and I get a lot of my nephews outfits here Keep an eye for clearance and sales The people in red shirts are helpful and able to help if needed read more

May 2021, I walk in and I see a staff member disinfecting carts and lining them up for customers to grab as they walk in. I head to the ladies room first: it could use some work and I think they should provide seat covers like many similar establishments do. If you need to change your phone I know where an awkwardly placed outlet is: under the water fountain where I spotted a man sitting on the floor charging his cell, he found a fix for his emergency situation. Exiting the area that houses the 3 restrooms I grab one of the sanitized carts. This location is clean and well organized. I didn't see many staff on the floor but I didn't have a need for one. This location has a CVS inside Target, you should be able to use your extracare points. Spotted: The Lip Bar and Beauty Bakerie in makeup. I had no idea that these products were in target. Starbucks. Cafe. Highlight: The largest selection of products for textured, curly and ethnic hair that I have seen in any comparable store. Textured products are displayed top to bottom on one side of an aisle and the number of brands geared toward textured hair are so numerous it is mind blowing. And the prices aren't incredibly inflated either. Check it out. read more

I really love a great Target, this is no longer one in my opinion. At one time I was probably at the store three times a week. This update is two years in the making and now falls in the just ok category. What have I seen that has diminished my 5 star? Well everything from trash in the parking lot, to no staff to assist to severe shortages at checkout. Add on the fact that the company goal appears to push customers to self checkout. My most recent experience was the last straw. I knew at that point the update and downgrade was inevitable. Upon checkout out in early December every checkout had long lines including self. The problem was the computer systems all went down for debit and gift cards. Can you imagine customers with full carts for Christmas being turned away. Yep that's what occurred. I will return, but I can no longer leave a stale 5 star review up. Unfortunately the trend is not good for the retailer around service. 3.5 rounding down. read more

Clean store with entry/exit inside and outside of Pembroke Mall. Loads of spaces in surrounding lots but they can be busy during peak times and seasons. Starbucks coffee shop with seating inside front entry near customer service. Diverse, friendly employees many of whom greeted me. Kids enjoyed shopping the $1-$5 bargain bins also near the front entry. Scored some Christmas throw pillows, mini Christmas trees, and some lights/decorations. While there, I encountered a young bearded male employee with glasses working in electronics. He patiently went through various iPhone upgrade options, both via carriers and unlocked outright purchase. He looked up the iPhone 7 trade-in incentive for AT&T ($75). Then, he gave me a tip about a $200 target gc if I were to buy the phone during Black Friday. Great customer service! read more

We were having a dandy time at target, really good coffee and got lost in the isles - until our time was ruined by the nasty lady at the self checkout. We were going to self checkout and the lady said "10 items or less you have to go to another line" and we stated that we were separate and she rolled her eyes and said "no go to another line." She looked at us like we shopped at Walmart. There was straight tude from the get go and she singled us out after being nice to the lady in front of us. Target was 5 stars before this employee made it 0. Thanks bitch. read more

This review is focused on the Target optical center/eye doctor. It is somewhat on the smaller side, but they have quite a lot of options for the frames. Not certain of her name, but she is typically there even when I'm not going to optical; she is so kind and helpful! Very down to earth and is looking out for your best interest. This was my first time going through this process without my parents & she helped me pick the best option for my money & what my insurances has to Thompson, the eye doctor is also great! He was very down to earth and straight to the point about what would be best for me and my lifestyle. I was also given free trial contacts and free solution (regular size) to go along with my purchase today. The only true downside is that the optical center and the Doctor's office are not connected so, thankfully it was a sunny day when it was time for me to walk over. read more

All in all, and above average target. The store was clean and the staff were friendly. And oddly, the thing I liked most, they were actually arresting and processing a shoplifter. The Target stores in my neck of the woods, San Francisco Bay area, California, are apathetic towards shoplifting. It makes the shopper feel a little bit safer to know that the store is actually keeping an eye on the merchandise and the shoppers. read more

Target did well. Used the app to order and purchase a 6-cube organizer. The transaction was smooth, the notifications were timely. They even notified me that my order was no longer in stock at the store I chose for pick-up and they asked if I would like to choose another store. I agreed and they indicated they would take care of the transfer protocols, and would notify me once that was completed and when it would be ready for pick-up or drive-up. They were great to work with and kept reminding me via email and through the app to ensure I didn't forget. They gave me some time to pick up or drive up my order. I even called the store to let them know I would stop by before so they wouldn't cancel the order and process a refund. I even ordered another one from that store on the app, where I picked up the first one. All in all, I had an amazing experience. I didn't mind the price (competitive) that I paid for both. My wife was very happy and that's all that matters. read more

Well I came here today with a purpose...purposed fulfilled!! I needed to buy an unwrapped toy for an event tonight and I didn't want to get a cheesy Dollar Store gift. I figured I swing by Target with hopes of spending a lil more and getting what I paid for. If it was my child I wouldn't buy her a Dollar Store toy if I had a choice. So Target shopping here I come... Parking was a breeze and plentiful. Target is connected to Pembroke Mall in which you can gain access to the store through the mall or Target's outside direct entrance. It was a little busy today, but the cashiers were on post and ready to check you out. Therefore, the lines weren't long at all on a Wednesday afternoon. Way to go Target!! They definitely scheduled properly for the season. So I headed to the toy area to find a toy or two. And the word "toys" is high up for all to see. So I didn't need help finding that section. Oh my sales galore and items were pretty much in tact. Easy access in and out the aisles even with a basket. I found some neat puzzles (100 pieces and glow in the dark) on sale for under $5. I brought 2!! I passed by the clothing sections for girls boys and infants and the aisles were free of clutter and neaty folded. Considering the store has been open for hours already today it didn't look like a tornado passed through. Not only were cashiers readily available workers were in other departments and walking around as well. Once again great job on staffing!! I will definitely recommend this location. An eatery is located inside too and dont forget you have mall access... a full day of shopping and eating awaits. Have fun :) read more

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent shopping experience at Target Pembroke location. I was shopping with my daughter (March 14) while an employee was yelling through the beauty department on the walkie-talkie. It seems that they are using only one channel where all customers can hear all the conversations. Then a few minutes later on the way to the kitchen department, again this employee, Cheryl, was talking badly about another employee. Apparently, this employee is a manager there. I was appalled by the manner in which she spoke to the employees over the walkie-talkie system. Her tone was condescending and disrespectful, and it was evident that she had little regard for the wellbeing of her staff. It's disheartening to witness such unprofessional behavior from someone in a position of authority, her conduct towards employees in front of customers was equally disgraceful. Not only is this behavior demoralizing for the employees, but it also creates a hostile atmosphere for customers! Undesirable to shop there! read more

By far the WORST targets in the area, I placed an online order for pick up and it said one of the items was out of stock but I get there and I was able to find it easily. This target is similar to many, it's large, clean and very popular. I am addicted to target, I just feel that their products are so much better in quality in comparison to their counterparts if you get what I'm saying. :) Now, if you've seen my profile you know that I usually leave great reviews because I try to stay on the positive side of things and give everyone the benefit of the doubt but I just can't with this review. I can't. I would usually leave a 5 star review if I really felt that it blew me away but in the last two days that I was here the staff have been rude. Yesterday, The young lady at the register was rude to my husband and I. What I was buying was ceramic and could very easily break on the journey home so I asked politely if she could wrap it up and instead i was met with the biggest attitude. She only wrapped it with one thin piece of paper and put it in one bag. It was just a very cold interaction, and to the point where my husband made a comment, and he's not usually the type to say anything. I've worked in retail for 6 years, so trust me when I say that I get the whole frustration behind being on your feet all day and how repetitive it is working the register but that's not excuse to be rude to someone who is being kind to you. I decided that it wasn't worth writing home about until today. Today, I was shopping in the mens section looking for a birthday gift for my husband and I overheard a conversation that someone in the fitting room department was having with a customer over the phone and it was mind-blowingly rude. All of this aside, I will keep returning because, duh, it's target and who doesn't love target, but I proooobably won't have very high expectations of their staff. :) read more

Target is officially my favorite store. When I moved clear across the USA, it was a good thing- but emotionally hard at times. Someplace that reminded me of home was Target. I walked in and smelt the popcorn, and for an hour or so.... I forgot I wasn't back at home in California. Because Targets pretty much all have the same feel and merchandise. You can find pretty much everything there in one stop. The prices here where I'm at are shockingly higher than where I use to live. I would of thought it would be the opposite. Certain shampoos for instance are $4.00 in CA and $6.00 here. Annoying. This Target location is clean, well ran, and friendly. This location is attached to the mini mall so that's handy as well. I LOVE price matching with Amazon Prime. I've said some good money doing this. Target always honors the difference. They match it 100% no fuss. Getting back to the smell of popcorn.... mmmmmm! It's always fresh here! So good! They also have a Starbucks with an awesome staff. Soooooo 5 stars baby!!! read more

This store is beautiful, clean, friendly staff and the manager even gave me a gift card for my inconvenience when they did not take WIC. Centrally located in the mall near Pembroke Town Center. Ahh Target.. what can I say? I worked at Target during the summer many moons ago when I was in college. I still love the place. It's a merchandise portal that sucks you in when you go in for one item. I recently learned this.. if you can pull up an ad for an identical item from a competitor and they can pull it up on their tablet, they will price match that item. Also, if it's a big ole cluster f in the front of the store to checkout despite the self check outs having a presence. I usually go straight to electronics to check out. I'm addicted to coming here. TARGET is a huge store that I go crazy and lost in.. I don't know why I Dan practically spend more than an hour in this store. It's bigger and more spread out than other targets in the area. The location is the most convenient for me and I love that they are linked to Pembroke mall with stores such as kohls, Nordstrom rack all in the surrounding area. The target is connected to all that Pembroke mall offers. You can go to the mall and then go grocery shopping at target and pick up almost everything u need conveniently In this particular area. It is across from the street from the town center of Virginia beach. They have everything and they are almost always very organized and stocked with everything I need. Sometimes items are a little scattered around as far as clearance items go and stuff not being out away properly by other customers. But the prices are great and items are of higher quality than other competitors in my opinion. Starbucks is their but service can vary and isn't always the best. RUDEST Target i've been too. This Target is pretty organized and has everything you need except for a decent way to teach to their staff how to treat customers. As I check out in the self checkout line that has a new 10 items or less policy (and I in fact did have 10 items to check myself out with this particular day) this Target has hired their employees to scream the policy right next to you as if they suspect you have too many items. As I was checking out I felt very uncomfortable and called out by this small female older caucasian employee who seemed to find it necessary to scream the 10 item policy next to me as soon as I'm checking out in the self checkout section silently and quickly. How about approach the customers to make sure they can check out first rather than singling them out and making them feel angry and uncomfortable Target Pembroke??! As other customers checked out around me, they obviously had less than 10 items and she never approached and screamed next to them! It's obvious that this Target has petty employees. This action has caused me to not want to be a patron towards supporting Target Pembroke or some of their incredibly rude employees. Please be aware of the hostility while shopping here, reader. read more

Disorganized, multiple aisles filled with big carts of merchandise and yet I would say 75% of the beauty shelves are completely empty. The store is an absolute mess, stacks and stacks of merchandise near the baby and technology blocking the way. Very uncomfortable shopping experience as only one person with a cart could be in an aisle due to the giant merchandise carts. Employees chattering on the aisle over about how they're going to write good reviews......this is the only Target in the Hampton roads with these issues. It has been an ongoing issue and it's seriously beyond ridiculous. I really don't believe the people in the management or higher ups positions are doing their job. It's sad honestly. I give this location a chance every few weeks to see if any improvements at All have been done and it looks worse each time. read more

Meh. I expected better. I have been to this Target only a few times and the spacious parking lot, proximity to Cheesecake Factory and Town Center and other things have made it appealing. It is large and new but it is already starting to show signs of abuse and mistreatment, which doesn't surprise me. The bathrooms when you first enter already have the hooks on the door stalls pulled out and holes left in their place, I found trash on the floor, shelves not properly stocked though it wasn't late at night nor was it a busy holiday weekend or snow day of any kind. I wandered around for a while looking at things and mostly the store is clean and well-tended but for a brand new Target in a central location I expected it to be well-kept and well taken care of. I didn't get this impression. In fact, my impression that was in another few years, this store will be left to fall apart. I'll stick to the Target closer to my house. read more

Nice new bright and shiny Target attached to what was a dying mall in the middle of Virginia Beach. This brings yet another big box chain thing to the creation that is Town Center Virginia Beach. Don't get me wrong, I'm not down on Target per se, it is just this whole fascination with chains in Virginia Beach, they are sapping the soul right out of the place. Town Center is built on the premise of mid to high end chain restaurants, all with the hollow philosophy, 'If you build it, they will come.' If you remember the movie, they DID build it...and they DID come. But who came? Yes, dead people. At any rate, here we are at Target. All the stuff, all the cool prices, plenty of parking, everything that you would expect from Target, plopped down right in the center of Virginia Beach. This saves me a drive over to Military Circle, which is a good thing. The selection here is no better, no worse, it is just Target. The only distinguishing factor that I found, though, is documented in a picture that I posted here. For some reason, over the Pizza Hut restaurant right in the place, they have this huge picture of an Asian kid eating what looks like a very salty pretzel. Not exactly sure why that is there or what it even means....but when is the last time that you saw a picture of some German kid in Lederhosen chewing on Won Tons? Yea, me neither. read more

This is the Walmart of all Targets I have been to - and if you know me, you know that's not a good thing in my book. I am a Target lover, all the way, but for some reason, this one just won't do it for me. The good thing? It is centrally located in Virginia Beach Town Center, but thankfully, there is one closer to my house. However, when at work, this is the closest location and as such, I do come here more often than I would like to admit. The entire store is extremely disorganized, there seems to be no coherent aisle as you walk through, like in all other Target stores. It is very hard for me to find what I need/want in this location - to the point where I end up giving up only to go to the Hilltop location later. Again, if my work wasn't so close to the Pembroke location, I would not come here at all. But Target in general - I love you. A lot, a lot, a lot! read more
