Bad Situation Turned Good…read more This past Friday, November 17th, I purchased two Andis products from this store (1 Andis Profoil Shaver /1 Andis T-Outliner). To my dismay after returning home, while attempting to turn on the T-Outliner, I found it to be inoperable. Unable to return the product that day due to a weekend trip out of town, I returned to the store today to exchange this product and to ask about the possibility of exchanging the "Andis" Shaver for a "Wahl" Shaver. Upon my return to the store, I had a negative experience with "Jay", the store manager. He questioned me (did you drop it?) and alluded to me being untruthful after seeing a hair follicle on the side of the T-Outliner (which may have been picked up from my bathroom while using another product). After some back and forth, between myself, my brother and Jay, Jay tested the product and confirmed that it did indeed not work. He tested another T-Outliner and allowed me to exchange the defective product for the working one. Consequently, after Jay opened the box for the Shaver, he identified hair shavings inside the blade opening, keeping in mind I had not opened the box. I was shocked by this. Jay informed me that he could not exchange the shaver and that the new Outliner was non-returnable. After this interaction, I was angered and very offended. I quickly decided to call back to the store to gain the owner's contact information to further discuss the matter. After making several attempts to call, I finally got in touch with someone. To my dismay, it was Jay, the associate I had interacted with prior. Jay informed me that he was the owner. I explained to him how I had felt about his rudeness and after several minutes of talking, Jay apologized and informed me that he would accommodate my need to exchange the shaver. Long story short, Jay handled our altercation in a professional manner. He admitted that he had maybe based our interaction from past experiences from customers that tried to get over on them. I definitely understand this viewpoint, as I have worked customer service for several years. Overall, Jay made my day by taking time to hear me out and assisting me. I will definitely return to this store just because of how this young man handled this situation. He owned up to his mistake and helped me out in the end.I have much respect for him and his willingness to turn a bad situation into a very positive one. Thanks Jay! There are some hair care tools and small appliances. She is affiliated with military and very patriotic. This store was located in Virginia Beach at one time. I like this location better. It is two doors down from the entrance to Food Lion. The parking lot is large and well lighted. You will enjoy the experience.

All of the bonnets were neatly wrapped in plastic except for one . I was Interested in buying this particular bonnet because of the design and style however , this particular bonnet was not wrapped up in plastic and you could tell that someone had tried on the bonnet . It was the last bonnet with the color and design that I was interested in buying . I asked the owner if she could give me five percent off and explained my reasons and concerns why because the bonnet was already worn and used .The owner refused to . Then I asked her if I could get at least two percent off and she told me no .Due to covid 19 going on , we must be aware , cautious , and follow the safety / producers in order for us to be in a safe environment. I also noticed that the owner did not have any particular social distance signs ,did not follow the procedures of the social distance 6 feet, and did not follow the procedures for covid 19 . As a customer who often shops here a lot. I am highly disappointed to be treated this way and believe that this incident should be made an aware of . I love shopping here at Angie's Beauty Supply store however , I am a little concerned if I want to shop at this beauty supply store location again. I love it so because the handful of times I have visited in recent months, all my hair care needs were met. I went just yesterday and found the hair I needed for my daughter! Granted, the color she wanted, they did not have, but it was worth the trip to pick up some black bundles. The staff is alert and helpful if needed. If you are in the area - check them out. I decided to visit this store to see what type of beard products they had available that would possibly be different from some of the other beauty supply store products in the area!. It was pretty much the same products to me except this particular store seems over crowded with merchandise!. I had to move products of the same variety out the way because they had things stacked up in the way in front of the products I had to look through. I started to look for other products and it seemed like all the aisles were cluttered with merchandise, you couldn't pass by an aisle without brushing up against merchandise either hanging up or on the floor. I purchased a durag so I could wear it under my baseball caps to keep the rims inside of my baseball caps fresh and free of forehead perspiration while at work. I made the purchase in a cash payment and the lady behind the register gave me 2 pennies short of my change. I was not going to make a big deal about it but the store employee that shorted me two cents in my cash return could have at least said they didn't have any pennies and I would have maybe considering leaving the two penny return as okay no big deal! But no she didn't even acknowledge that she shorted me two pennies. It's not the value because two pennies wouldn't do much to me at all but it's all about the principle of not being honest and up front! I been to other businesses where pennies were given back as a cash return and each time I was given the change back rounded off to the nearest nickel. Not shorting me because as a business you decided it was ok to give a customer less than the change from my cash return! Like I said it's the principle of doing business with customers. It's wrong and dishonest to give customers less change back because you don't have the correct penny options or you just don't think that I know how to count!. Whether it's two pennies or two dollars a customer should get back the exact amount they are due after any type of money exchange! And this particular business thought it was ok not to be honest about this cash exchange!. I know some people would say it's only two pennies but guess what? IT''S MY TWO PENNIES!!!.. Needless to say this business has lost a customer because they felt it was ok to short a paying customer two pennies in a cash return transaction!. Shame on you Beauty To Go!!! I will not be returning to this dishonest business again!. One star for greeting me when I walked in the store!.
