All around, though, this is a store that you can spend an absolute ton of time in between looking through books, clothes, coffee mugs, etc, without spending a dime. I've not been here once without buying at least something, however. It's also a very wide open store, well lit, with a very friendly vibe and staff. I like coming here.

First off I feel pretty stupid because I just found the clearance rack with 80% off for the first time shopping at Kohl's and I stopped to actually go through it and to my amazement I found plenty of shirts in nice colors and patterns that I was shopping for at a fraction of the actual full price. This is the Kohl's thing, put a price on the clothes and another lower sale price so you think that you are getting a deal which I completely understand but getting name brand nice shirts for under $10 is amazing in itself from the discount rack, how have I never found the discount rack before. The I saved $194.60 is a stretch and the $10 Kohl's cash is nice so the value is very good here for men's casual clothes and why I keep coming back. I don't know or care how Kohl's can sell name brand clothes at super reasonable prices but it keeps me coming back.

I found out about Halo Soap Company as I was perusing Etsy for a particular scented bar soap. When…read moreI found the soap I needed I glanced over to see where it came from and gosh darn it was from right here in Milwaukee, well Bay View just a quick 15 minutes down highway 43. What luck! You know what that means, I can do something that I almost never do anymore, I was going to visit the store in person! One less purchase for the online marketplace. Yes indeed. No shipping for me. UPS and USPS, stand down, you are not needed here. We are going old school here. I should say that the reason I don't frequent brick and mortar stores is not because I don't like them in anyway. I do. I love the experience of being in a store, making small talk with the owner, getting some people watching in, browsing through the shelves of merchandise, and even parallel parking my car. That stuff is great but with two children under 3, it is significantly harder to enjoy the experience. Half of my attention is devoted to catching all the things they are about to throw on the floor while repeating, "Don't hit your brother." Going to the store is reserved for emergencies or places where all the small things are on high shelves. So anyway, I decided to break my rule and go to Halo Soap Co. in person. As I drove around the block looking for a parking space (parking a minivan on KK at lunchtime was a risky decision) I finally found a space and began my trek to the storefront. The sidewalks were covered with planks, not sure if that was due to all the real estate developments going up or what, but it certainly made for an interesting experience as the stroller THUNKED every few feet. By the time I made it to the door I thought, "Maybe this was more work then it was worth with the driving, circling around for parking, stroller thunking." But then I walked in. . . The store was enchanting, clean and white with an array of bath products lining the wall. Soaps of all kinds, bath bombs, moisturizes, scrubs, and all sorts of things. I was there for bath bombs and bar soap. I would say that if I had been there without the two littles, I would have spent a significant amount of time looking at each product probably buying more than I needed. Happily, I found exactly what I was looking for. To complete my rebellion from shopping online I decided to even use cash. It was great. So I urge people to check out Halo Soap Co. Sure you can go to their website and buy products online but I think there is a lot to be said for experiencing this store in person. If I can do it with my two kids, then anyone can do it!
