This place is definitely a two thumbs up! The food and the ambience was amazing! My family and I will return when we come back to the Fort Lauderdale area! I have to give a shout out to our waitress Ryan!! They were short staffed yesterday and she was the only waitress working. She held it down though! Very impressive. Despite being the only waitress, she was attentive. She was great! read more

Good food--they do biscuits right here. Service can be pretty slow if there is an event going on, always have a bit of a wait until seated.

Batch is a brunch heaven!!! OMG- I must first give a nod to the (1/2) Chicken & Waffles!!! I lost count of how many orders came out of the kitchen including a kid sitting next to us!! Whaaaatt?!? Definitely trying it next time... I went with my go-to Blackened Shrimp n Grits with the tomato bacon jam. It was delicious (Smokey with a light heat) and the portion was plentiful. My friend had the Chicken Southern Cobb Salad and it disappeared rather quickly! LOL! I had a mimosa and peach ginger sangria- but the Mimosa took home the Win! The ambiance is beautiful with the right combo of natural light, outdoor seating and a DJ positioned just right to hit you with that good food mood vibe! Devon was super amazing in serving us as first time guests and we will definitely be back again!! *Chef's Kiss* read more

My 4 friends and I had lunch reservations at 11:30am the day after Thanksgiving and there was a line out the door to get in - which went fast. We were seated quickly, our server came and took our drink order. We looked over the menu and everything looked so good we were having trouble picking just one thing lol. When we decided we placed our order and it took a little bit to get the food but we were enjoying our drinks and talking. Everyone had nothing but good things to say and our server was attentive and friendly along with the girl she was training. I love a good espresso martini - it was honestly one of the best I've had. The restaurant is set up nice and it's spacious. The outside seating area is so nice, we know for next time! Would come back and try more! Parking is annoying, there is street parking and garage parking but it was a bit of a mission to find a spot. read more

I stopped by for a networking dinner which was certainly not a rubber chicken dinner! Our group had three tables reserved, and our two servers were friendly & attentive, keeping track of our plates. The appetizer course was family style, the main dish gave us individual plates and a good looking banana pudding dessert. I say the dessert was just good looking because I was stuffed and didn't try it. But I would certainly try it! I spent most of my taste buds on the very generous appetizers starting with a perfectly crumbly biscuits, served with both a sweet butter and a cranberry or a grape jam. The bread itself was, as I said, crumbly and had a nice buttery base to it. The deviled eggs were heavenly as in well prepared and not over the top with mayo flavoring. The brisket burnt ends were also yummy. With actual bourbon flavor in the syrup, my chicken and waffles would have almost been a dessert of itself. The waffles were pretty fluffy and the chicken, although tasty, was a little too deep fried for my taste. I did end up having to leave a lot of it for the next day including remixing and adding sauce at home. I think I've mentioned before. I'm not a fan of too much dry rub. It was a fun and productive networker I went, and besides that I'd return to Batch next time I'm in the area. read more

I was invited to Batch for brunch. It is located in a congested area but free parking is a life-saver in the retail garage across 5th Terrace. Batch is owned by a small restaurant enterprise that has four restaurants. The other locations are in Miami, Delray and West Palm. Vanessa, the manager, told me they are really focused on customer service and quality experiences. While I was there the chef came out to speak to a table that had a special dietary request. That impressed me and it set the tone for my visit. A small business can focus on customer needs better than these corporate behemoths. We started with two appetizers, deviled eggs and burnt ends. Both were delicious and the barbecue sauce for the burnt ends was really sweet and tangy. It's a house made sauce using root beer. A winner. My entree was the Impossible Scramble. You would not know this dish was ALL plant based! It was a fantastic skillet of scrambled eggs, sausage, and fried potatoes. Mung bean is used in the egg substitute and impossible meat for the sausage. Low in saturated fat, it was a winner also. The house made hot sauce was absolutely fabulous. If you like spice, you have to try it. They use Fresno peppers and spices and ferment the concoction for several weeks. I asked if they sell bottles of it. Unfortunately, no they don't. I'm a hot sauce nut and this was amazing. Batch gave me a 5 star experience. read more

This is a top ten favorite for me, maybe even top five. Batch is just what this town needs. Finally, a place that serves some authentic Southern dishes..with a Southern price tag and less of a Manhattan price. The dishes are hearty, satisfying, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The cocktails are AWESOME, the happy hour is even better, the staff is knowledgeable and super friendly, and the menu has plenty of different options. The egg roll app is delicious, short ribs for an entree, Mac and cheese entree with any of the proteins on it is good, burgers, can't lose here. Even the chocolate orange dessert cake is DELICIOUS. They are able to hit the numbers with everytjing from apps to salads to entrees to cocktails and desserts. That is unheard of these days. Make this a staple in your restaurant roster. You won't regret it! read more

Recommended by sister from Tik Tok , parking is located in garage behind restaurant. It's free for restaurant and tenants of the building. Seated promptly decorated trendy with booths and tables top seating. Looked over menu decided on the red sangria , Devil eggs bbq burnt ends and crab cakes. Everything was delicious and flavorful, our waitress informed us everything was home grown , and the crab cakes were real crab it wasn't just bread crumb like other establishments. The bbq burnt ends with crispy fried onions were delicious. The devil eggs were a hit and didn't disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks . read more

Couldn't think of a better place to review for my first Yelp review. I heard about this place from some coworkers who had gone and they were raving about how good the drinks and especially the food were. My first visit there I had the biscuits which came highly recommended, the fried green tomatoes, and the fried chicken. Being from the south, I can honestly say I've eaten a lot of fried chicken, and this was definitely some of the best I've ever had. Crispy skin and moist and juicy inside. Everything was so flavorful. The fried green tomatoes came on a bed of grits and it was all I could do from licking my plate clean. Dessert was a delicious apple bread pudding with ice cream and a chocolate tart, half which was taken home to enjoy the next day. I had a couple of shots of their famous pecan whiskey and ended up buying a bottle. There was a nice mix of people here, all ages, very mixed crowd and they had an excellent band playing some blues music. It was a perfect time. Can't wait to go back. Service was great. Staff was really friendly! read more

My husband and I tried Batch for the first time last night, and I was blown away! I've been vegan for eight years but used to love BBQ. I usually assume places like this won't have anything for me. My husband rarely eats BBQ anymore because it's the one type of restaurant where I typically struggle to find anything to eat. We've walked past Batch countless times, assuming "Southern cooking = no vegan options." Boy, was I wrong! Earlier in the day, we were talking with friends about another BBQ place, and my husband got a craving. I decided to take a peek at Batch's menu as we live close by to it -- and to my surprise, I found not just one but several vegan options! We made a reservation and arrived around 7:20 p.m. The only hiccup was that although the restaurant wasn't very busy, we were told there was a seating delay and were asked to wait at the bar. The bartender was great -- super friendly and happy to share the menu -- but after waiting nearly 10 minutes past our reservation time, no one came to get us. We eventually went back to check in and were seated. The restaurant has a casual, comfy vibe. We chose to sit inside, but the outdoor dining area looked really inviting too -- we'll definitely try that next time! Once seated, things were great. Our waitress was fantastic, and the food was off the charts delicious. We started with the Southern-style hummus, and I literally almost licked the plate. As a vegan, I've had a lot of restaurant hummus (sometimes it's my only option!), but this one was exceptional. Not your basic hummus and carrot sticks -- this had roasted sweet potatoes, pistachios, and cilantro. Just, wow. Also nice to see this is on the happy hour menu too. For my entrée, I had the BEST BBQ jackfruit sandwich I've ever had. Everything is made in-house, and it shows. Funny enough, my husband ended up ordering the jambalaya instead of BBQ and loved it -- the portion was so generous he took half home for later. Thank you for creating a menu that's inclusive and thoughtful. You've just earned a very loyal vegan customer -- we will absolutely be back (and we'll bring friends!). read more

O M G you MUST go here for the amazing food and drinks. Went on Father's Day for brunch. I had the crab cake Benedict and OMG was it good!!!! The cocktails were delicious as well. Do not walk RUN to Batch for brunch. You won't be disappointed. My husband and I heard reviews about this establishment, so today we decided to experience it ourselves. After attending a funeral, we embarked on a well-thought-out plan to have brunch at Batch New Southern Kitchen and Tap in Fort Lauderdale. We made a reservation for 3:30 PM based on previous reviews. The ambiance of the restaurant was not too busy for brunch on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived exactly at our designated time, only to be met by Carlos Navas, who greeted us with a stern tone and rigid demeanor. He cited "the system" as the reason for his inability to assist us, a common excuse in the business when seeking to maintain excellent service and build relationships. Carlos explained that the system dictated that our kitchen closes at 3:30 PM for a turnaround to the dinner menu, even though their website clearly states that brunch is served from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. While we were waiting to be seated until 4:00 PM, we noticed that brunch menu items were still being served well after we arrived. Brandon Alders, the partner of this restaurant approached us to explain their process and methodology only to experience the chicken somewhat lukewarm and the waffles overly done to the point of it being crispy. Once we were finally seated, our server Felicia was fantastic. However, as someone who has worked in hospitality for over 20 years, nothing frustrates me more than when someone blames the system. It is your system--please fix it so customers don't feel aggravated. If your website states that brunch is served from 10 AM to 4 PM on Saturdays, and the system allows reservations for 3:30 PM, then it is not the system's fault but rather an inability to provide an adequate resolution in a calm and friendly manner. read more

If salt is your thing stop on by. The burger was beyond salty. The yellow thing on the side of the plate is me scraping the melted cheese and aioli off hoping to save the burger. I even asked for lettuce and tomato to help salvage the meal but I couldn't make it past half. The fries were nice and crispy. One of the managers walked by and asked how was everything. We said "salty" and she laughed and said Southern Food for you. Weird but okay. Also did not like how you're charged for the alcohol. I ordered a margarita, I was charged per item used. $12 for the liquor, $2 for margarita and an extra $1.50 for pineapple juice. Will not be returning. read more

I love Batch! It's in a great location in Flagler Village and walkable from Las Olas. They have plenty of outdoor and indoor seating and have a DJ on the weekends during brunch. I come here all the time for apps and drinks, but went for the first time for brunch this past weekend. The Impossible scramble was delicious and the French toast was so unique. Having had tremendous meals here in the past, this weekend changed my opinion completely. Came here for lunch on a weekend even though normally I eat only Monday through Friday. First off there was a wait for over 40 minutes just to get a table for two. And a quick trip to the bathroom revealed that none of the tables were sat in the back of the restaurant (understaffed?). We sat for over 20 minutes before we got water and they didn't even take the drink order. Once someone returned, we place our drink order and our food order together anticipating it was going to be a while. And it sure was. The food was mediocre at best And both our meals were overcooked. I don't know that we will ever return there on a weekend because spending over 2 1/2 hours to grab a quick lunch, it's not my idea of a good time. read more

Decided to come here driving through Ft Lauderdale for brunch. No wait time and was immediately greeted and seated at a table. They do reservations thru Open Table. They have indoor and outdoor seating, the ambiance, and music was so nice. Grace was our server and there's only one word I can use to describe her service...PHENOMENAL. Grace was amazing from start to finish. She recommended the buttermilk drop biscuits as a starter. They were great. The chili thyme honey butter is liquid GOLD! I then ordered the carmelized apple French toast with egg whites and a salmon filet, and my sister ordered the chicken and waffles with black pepper grits. The grits were a little different for me, but yummy to say the least with white cheddar. The French toast was amazing! My sister raved about how well seasoned and cooked the chicken was along with the waffles. I tried the southern agua Fresca and the homemade in house rootbeer. My goodness both were so regreshing! This past Sunday I was searching for a good brunch spot in Fort Lauderdale, and like usual most of the typical brunch spots were booked up, so I decided to give Batch a try. After a pretty incredible brunch, I'm shocked that Batch wasn't very busy. I would put it up there with the likes of Tap 42 or Shooters when it comes to solid brunch spots. Let's get started with what matters most.... the food. Everything I got was incredible. The highlight being the bacon tot pulled pork benedict and the biscuits. The Benedict was far from traditional, but was incredible! Being from the south, it's hard to find a place that makes truly incredible biscuits. Batch nailed it, and it almost brought me back to the biscuits my grandmother used to make as a kid. Though still a good dish, my least favorite were the deviled eggs. Very tasty and a cool presentation, but ultimately a very small appetizer for the price. The ambience is really cool with a large covered outdoor space, and nice decor on the interior. I imagine the large bar area would be a really good spot to watch football. The only negative might have been the service, and it was just ok, not bad by any means. Given how slow it was for a brunch it seemed to take awhile to get drink refills and initially we had to notify management that we were seated for 10-15 minutes without being served. In regard to management though, they seemed to genuinely care and immediately took care of the issue, even comping my first round of drinks. Service still remained slow but I did see management going around and checking on each table. Anyone looking for a solid brunch spot should give a batch a try! read more

Had an amazing dinner experience at Batch on Thursday night. It turned out to be the perfect time to go--the restaurant wasn't busy, which made the service feel especially attentive and relaxed. We had hesitated to visit before because we weren't sure about parking, but we were pleasantly surprised to find extremely convenient parking in a garage located right behind the restaurant. The menu was excellent and very reasonably priced, with most entrées around $30. Our server was attentive throughout the evening, and the owner even stopped by our table to make sure everything was going well. He shared some of the background of the restaurant and pointed out their beautiful, spacious outdoor patio, which looks like it would be perfect for brunch. read more
