Mac & Cheese
Vicki M.

I've been dying to try this place for years and finally went this Saturday. It was amazing from start to finish. Kevin, the owner, greeted us and immediately made us feel welcome. We sat at a high top and Jenna was our server. She was one of the best servers I've ever had. Seriously, knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. She crushed it!! Bella brought us over a pumpkin espresso martini to try, yum! We started out with Campfire Espresso Martinis which were delicious. We then ordered the Chicken & Waffles, Buttermilk Drop Biscuits and of course their Mac & Cheese! Everything was fresh and tasted awesome. There was enough for next day brunch! Thank you to Kevin, Jenna and Bella! We will be back!

I've been many times for their HH specials. Currently they have 1/2 price off apps. Staff is always friendly. It was a quiet atmosphere the Friday we visited. You can park for free in the garage. The food tastes fresh.

These biscuits were pretty damn good! Buttermilk Drop Biscuits

I had a great brunch experience this past weekend here. Beautiful restaurant with great decor and openness. The menu is pretty great. I initially had a hard time deciding what I wanted because there were so many delicious items. I ended up ordering the biscuits, which were great and the southern chicken breakfast bowl. This is a must try. What stands out as you enter is being greeted enthusiastically and they call you by your name. We were lucky enough to talk to the actual owner when entering the restaurant. They make their whiskey, sodas, and more in-house so you're getting everything fresh. Someone came around and gave our table free shots of their homemade whiskey, which was very good. Also another awesome touch. The service was good, the food was good and the atmosphere was good. This is a must try location!

I came to Batch Fort Lauderdale for the Wednesday hot chicken sandwich and bourbon special and had such a great experience. The hot chicken sandwich was so tender, crispy, and flavorful. Definitely worth going for! The bourbon special was also such a good deal and went so well with the food. Josh was our bartender and he was great, super friendly, attentive and made everything feel easy and fun. Bella, the manager, also went out of her way to make us feel extra special! That kind of service makes such a difference. I was also looking at their happy hour deals and they look so good. I already can't wait to come back and try everything. Great food, great drinks, and such a welcoming staff!

I can't believe this was my first time at Batch, it was such a great experience! I made a reservation for my husband's birthday and quickly after got a personalized email from the manager. They gave us a pecan whiskey when we arrived with a birthday card- above and beyond service! The vibes were awesome- clean, cozy, and charming, and right in the heart of downtown. The bottomless brunch deal is also great - $30 and you and mix and match. Excellent service, great food, warm ambiance.

I came to Batch after finding it on Yelp, so happy I did. They have nice decor inside and outside, music playing while dining. We had deviled eggs, shrimp n grits (yum yum), bbq pork sliders were delicious and they were large sliders. Chicken n waffles, they were very light and airy, not thick. Our waiter was great. We really enjoyed this place so we went back the next day. Our waitress Devin was attentive and helpful with our order. I spoke with the co-owner Jerry, he was a sweetheart. I would definitely recommend eating here. Everything was amazing . I told Jerry we need a Batch in NYC

Came here for the first time as a paying customer (came here previously for a yelp elite event) and unfortunately had a terrible experience. Our party of 4 arrived around 11:30ish on a Saturday morning for brunch. The restaurant had people in it but it wasn't full yet, both inside and outside. We were sat immediately and I feel like our server came over relatively quickly to introduce herself and give us waters. That was about the last time she gave us good service. She did state she was busy, but if that's the case maybe pass off the table to another server if you don't think you can take proper care of them. 2 of us ordered bottomless drinks, and we had to flag her down everytime she would come around to order anything. When she initially took our drink orders, we ordered an appetizer as well. That and the initial drinks came out at a normal time frame. We got the crispy hangover hash browns to start and they were delicious. They were soft/soggy rather than crunchy/crispy but they tasted delicious! They came with about 5 potato pancakes. After we ate our appetizer, our server basically never came around again for a while. We finished eating and were sitting there waiting for a while before she came by and we flagged her down to order our food and another round of drinks. After ordering our food, it took a while it felt like for it to come out, and the food was sub par. 2 of us got the avocado toast and none of them really enjoyed it, with one of the toasts being pretty burnt. Someone else got the açaí bowl and it was like a frozen acai they just scooped into a bowl, it didn't seem fresh. I got the biscuits and gravy Benedict and I actually enjoyed my meal. Our server didn't drop off the food and never came by to check on us or ask if we needed anything. By the time we were finished eating we were sitting around waiting for her to make an appearance again so we could cash out. Every time she walked by our table (we were sitting near the drink pickup station) she never came to check on us, so we had to call her over to get what we needed. I also didnt like how when we were checking out, she told us that 18% tip was already being charged to the bill, but only 14% was going to her. I used to be a server back in the day so I understand the struggle a server goes through regarding tips, but I think it's tacky to ask for more tip, especially when you did a horrendous job and probably know it.

When I think of dinner or a delicious lunch with a vibe , I would recommend Batch. All the food was delicious, came in for dinner and we tried the sweet potato hummus and it was better than expected. Also the salmon with cuscus was delicious, so fresh and amazing seasoned . Come for happy hour and maybe do dinner ! Friendly staff and amazing vibes !

Deviled eggs...a little on the sweet side but still good.

Louis was our server and he was very hospitable. We got to test the Bootlegger and the Pecan Whisky before we ordered. That was a great perk! The bootlegger with the jalapeno pineapple infused moonshine is DELICIOUS. It's refreshing and light believe it or not! Next time I'll request sliced jalapeno's to add more kick! The whisky sour with the pecan whisky was good but a little too sweet. It was our first time and we were pleasantly surprised. The 'from scratch' concept is always something we appreciate. The kitchen being willing to accommodate a menu modification is the best. We tried multiple items on the menu and left with many leftovers as the portions were plenty. The table favorite with the appetizers were the drop biscuits! Holy tasty moly. The cinnamon butter and the soft creamy center was devine. The deviled eggs were very good. We would prefer a dill relish to cut the sweetness but overall very good. The corn ribs were great. Smokey and charred but still crunchy. The charred peppers were delicious! I think we would prefer the broccolini to be blanched prior to being charred just to soften it up. The burnt ends were very good. We're not used to them being cubed but more of a natural end from the point of the brisket and a little more burnt, but the whisky caramelized onions underneath are spot on. The brisket meat was the favorite. Tender and super flavorful. The pulled pork sliders were very good also but did not beat out the brisket. The black pepper and cheddar grits were very peppery but the cheddar wasn't as flavor forward. Very good though. I imagine the shrimp and grits is really good. The mac-n-cheese was very smokey and creamy. We appreciated the noodles not being overcooked. The loaded steak fries were also very good and crisp. Tons of flavor. I requested the protein bowl with pulled jackfruit vs the menu options. I opted for the root beer bbq sauce but I think it was too much sweet on top of sweet. It needed some heat more than the few slices of jalapenos on the top. It wasn't bad but the ingredients in the bowl are somewhat inert in flavor so adding hot sauce or more peppers would be better. The charred peppers would be a great add. Overall, our experience was awesome. I save my 5-star reviews for places that are superb but this place is definitely worth visiting.

Deborah Kay W.

Jenna was amazing! She was attentive, personable, and we didn't feel left out or forgotten. Nashville Chicken was delicious, flavorful, although it was a tad spicy for this gal. Fries were great! BlackBerry lemonade was amazing. *update bathroom was absolutely disgusting. What was that smell?!? It threw me off because the restaurant was clean

Shizar H.

Love the unlimited drink special so that's a plus. The service was really good, but the food left a bit to be desired. Had the burnt ends app and they took the burnt part to heart, they were extremely tough but the sauce wasn't bad. But the burger was pretty good.

Tova P.

Tried out Batch New Southern Kitchen & Tap and honestly... I'll definitely be back I started with the deviled eggs, which were so good, then ordered the fish and swapped my side for mashed potatoes -- such a solid choice And of course, I had to pair it with a spicy margarita, which was absolutely fabulous The food, the drinks, the vibe... definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in Fort Lauderdale

Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.

The wings were just okay - it didn't have enough flavor. The gator bites were okay - it could be better if it was crispier and had more flavor. The deviled eggs were not bad - huge portions. I saved the best for last - the beignets. The best beignets I've had in Florida and it was close to Cafe du Monde's beignets in Louisiana. It was light, airy and puffy. I could have easily had 2-3 orders of it. The place overall is not bad, I enjoyed the ambiance but I would come back to try other items they have to offer.
