I came here to buy a dozen of cupcakes for my wife's birthday. Customer service was excellent! I had no idea what I was doing but the clerk was very friendly and helpful. They have a variety of cupcake flavors including vegan and gluten free options which I knew my wife would love. The prices are reasonable. I only gave four stars because although the flavors where good (Yes I tried them) I'd have to admit that a few were a bit hard and crusted. read more

I saw that this place when I was meeting for one of my girlfriends for lunch at Michael's Deli. She was running late, so I decided that I would get her a treat. Batch had an interesting selection of cupcakes available. I bought 5 cupcakes, 1 which was regular vanilla and the other just regular chocolate. They weren't anything to rave about. The other 3 cupcakes I gave to my friend, but they were...maple, red velvet, and oreo. I didn't get a chance to taste these specialty ones, but my friend said she enjoyed them. Although the Vanilla and Chocolate were quite plain, I think I'll go back to try the other cupcakes. I will say that the cupcakes were moist inside, which was really nice. read more

Cupcakes were yummy! The frosting was my favorite part. The cake wasn't anything too special but paired with the frosting it was yummy. The fresh strawberry cupcake, and the plain vanilla with sprinkles were my favorites. Didn't especially like the cookie dough because I didn't feel that the flavor fully came through, and I was told it had some sort of filling but that was untrue. Overall a good place to get a sweet treat. Recommended this place to a friend who is Gluten free because they had quite a few options for gluten free cupcakes. Pricing was average compared to similar places I've been. Good size cupcakes for the price. read more

Since I watch what I eat and currently on paleo I really enjoyed the fact that Batch had options for this. Though I wish they had more flavors to choose from in Paleo Cupcakes, the Chocolate and Pumpkin cupcakes were great. Couldn't even tell that they were healthy and good for you. By far my favorite cupcake from Batch is the pumpkin! Even if they only have gluten free, try it, there is virtually no difference in taste from the regular. Also, gotta try those Chai cookies, they're fantastic. The shop is so cute and I like that I can just look straight at the cupcakes and not have to bend over and look into a case. After reading all of these yelps, im quite disappointed in the way people reacted to the shop. For those of you who don't know how a cupcake works, all the variety comes from the frosting. Just check out any other shop. When you walk in, not only does Batch have at least 20 regular flavors on display, but also an assortment of baked goods and gluten free options. And for those of you complaining about not wanting a dry cupcake, that's usually never the case. Sure the outsides may get a bit crunchy, but that's what happens with real food that doesn't contain those nasty preservatives. You can always ask them to grab a cupcake from the covered rack that they keep them in. Just think before you write things people and maybe put yourself in the shoes of the people working and think about how they feel when you yell at them because you're being a bit over dramatic. And can we talk about the smell of the shop when they're baking in the back, like dang, that's nice. read more

I really want to love this place, i've been here more times than i'll even admit hoping that it gets better and each time I am more disappointed. The thought of a mint cupcake just makes me drool, until I bite into a dry and stale cupcake. When they first opened the cupcakes were moist, flavorful and delicious but that is no longer the case. The worst part of my experiences there have been the service, the staff is very unfriendly - you're not greeted when you walk in and you're not asked if you need assistance. I've received the blank stare no matter how long I stand there until I order my cupcake. Last night I arrived with my girlfriend, we each ordered two cupcakes to-go and went to pay seperately. The bill for each of us came out to $6 and some odd change, she proceeded to hand the cashier a $10 and then was informed they were out of change and she would need another form of payment. Super Dry, unremarkable cupcakes. Went in and a woman came in behind me and guess she was the owners friend because I had to wait while they chatted away for awhile. So I bought three different cupcakes, 1 strawberry shortcake, 1 chocolate and 1 I can't even remember! The strawberry shortcake did not have any cream or real strawberrys all three base cakes were so dry I had to dunk in my milk to get it down. When all you sell is a cupcake make sure it's real good because I don't want to spend over 3 bucks for bricks! read more

We have tried the cupcakes twice. Each time the cakes were either old or stale. Great concept. Poor performance.

We purchased a dozen cupcakes for a 7th birthday and my girls picked them out and were very excited. Although they were visually pretty they were not palatable at all. We were all SO disappointed !! The cupcakes were very dry and had little flavor. It almost seemed like we received 12 stale cupcakes. I don't think we'll be coming back unfortunately. :-( read more

Delicious GF cupcakes with ample frosting. They had 5+ flavors and we loved them all. First time I've ever seen gluten free cupcakes bigger than the regular ones. Yummy! The also had GF bread in freezer but we didn't try it. read more

Disclaimer: I love any shop that caters to all types of diets! However, despite that, this place is really good. After finishing our meal at Grateful Gardens next door, my bf and I decided to top it off with a cupcake. They have regular, gluten free, vegan, and paleo options - so there is something for everyone. I had their GFV chocolate cupcake with vanilla frosting and was throughly impressed. Batch......yeeeeeuuuckkkk! Have been there twice. First time I had the paleo pumpkin/ coconut cupcake. It was moist, I will give them that. The taste was weird and unnatural . It left a horrible after taste. I went late in that day, so I figured maybe I'd go in the morning to see if it might be better. First thing that almost knocks me to the floor is a funky smell in the place. What is that smell? I chose a chocolate paleo cupcake. It was extremely dry and literally crumbled whilst trying to eat it. The real topper was the long black human hair that was the focal point in the gluten free case. Disgusting! And $3? Really? I'm certain that I was paying for the box, not the cupcake. Over all a rotten experience. I am amazed that anyone would post a positive review on this place. I had been a loyal Batch customer, first experiencing their cupcakes years ago in Incline and then frequenting their old location off of Booth. I finally decided to check out the newer shop in Midtown recently and was surprisingly disappointed. I'm not sure if ownership had changed, but everything from size to flavors to price was different. The gentlemen that helped me was pleasant, but I was expecting the same, larger than normal, fresh cupcakes I had come to love. I noticed that the strawberry cupcake, which had originally been made with fresh strawberries and topped with a glaze, had neither of those things; although I noticed on their website, they still have the original description listed. I still ordered it hoping that the new frosting and cake were going to be good, but unfortunately the cake was under cooked and still doughy and the frosting was a little too sweet, tasting nothing like strawberries...not worth $3. Based on my experience, I wouldn't return or recommend their cupcakes. read more
