    Ice cream cakes to go!
    Lynn M.

Seriously, good ice cream! The biggest detriment when going to Batavia Creamery is having to make a choice! There are so many delicious flavors, it's hard to narrow it down!! They even offer frozen yogurt and vegan ice cream. I've been here numerous times over the past 20 years. However, this time, I noticed the addition of smoothies and frozen cappuccino. The kids working the counter were pleasant and well trained. The inside of the store was clean. They have ice cream cakes and pies available in to go coolers. What more could you ask for?? Another enjoyable visit on a hot day. Life is short. Eat dessert first.

I don't know what kind of witchcraft went into making this, but holy fucking shit, it's like they took every decadent chocolate thing imaginable and crammed it into one tub. It's so rich and dense, it feels like a damn brick in my stomach, but I couldn't stop eating it. Each spoonful had me going, "What the actual f***?" because it was just so goddamn good. The fudge was gooey, the chunks were massive, and the ice cream itself was smoother than a politician's lie. If you're looking for a diet-friendly dessert, turn back now. This is the kind of treat that laughs in the face of moderation and dares you to keep going until you hate yourself. Long story short, if you're a chocolate lover, this will ruin you for all other desserts. Get it, devour it, and prepare for your taste buds to never be the same again.

My friend and I checked this place out after seeing it in a local magazine. In the time of Covid everything is a little crazy, but I was surprised that they are only serving in cups, no cones. We both enjoyed our flavors (Scout's Honor [mint chocolate] for her, Marion Blackberry for me); mine was intensely flavorful! Sometimes when you have a fruit ice cream you can feel like you're missing out on, like, chocolate, but not in this case! We both got lemonade as well, but don't bother: though it had seeds in it, it tasted weaker than Country Time. I would come back to check out their rotating flavors of ice cream the next time I am in Batavia!

Lots of cones and waffle bowls to choose from.

I've been coming here for nearly 40 years. It was a Baskin Robbins when I was a kid, but I believe it's the same owners and very similar to 1980's/90's Baskin Robbins. There are a bunch of flavors to choose from and even some that are vegan. We really liked that there were warnings on the labels about various allergies. I also love the variety of cones and bowls to choose from. They do continue to make ice cream cakes as well. When I visited this week the staff was super, super nice! You can sit inside or out on the sizable patio. I prefer to take a little walk on the river walk while I eat my cone.

We were in the area and decided to check out this spot as it looked cool and some of the dessert concoctions looked awesome. The shop was nicely decorated, inviting, and had friendly staff. The staff was helpful in getting our tasty as it was our first time here. From their specialty soft-serve ice cream concoctions (eclectic looking sundaes), we ordered a Cloud 9 made with Lavender Honey soft-serve and a Uh Oh Oreo w/ vegan Coconut soft-serve (see my photos). The Cloud 9 came with a cotton candy top and it looked so Instagram perfect. It was delicious. I really liked the Lavender Honey soft-serve. The Oreo one was okay as the vegan Coconut soft-serve was icy and not quite my cup of tea. This shop is a cool, cute, and awesome sweet treats spot that should be on your list to check out if you enjoy desserts.
