We built a house 18 months ago. CenTex Air and Heating installed a furnace and ac unit upon build. The blower motor went out, remember it is 18 months old. CenTex estimates were $1400-$5000 for a repair. We can buy a whole new furnace and ac unit for $5000! The part is covered under warranty, and it is a 2 hour job at most. We started asking questions, and now they won't share the details of their estimates and refuse to do the service. Out of frustration, my husband did raise his voice, but then apologized several times, and shook hands with the technician when he left. We have reported this company to the BBB.

He checked my unit after asking me a few questions and said it was seriously low on Freon. He advised me that the mini split units start loosing Freon after about 5 years. I told him that this unit was 6 years old. He got up and running without trying to up sale me on unnecessary repairs! He tightened up a couple of things recharged the unit and advised me that I might want to start thinking about replacing the unit with a newer model.
