this review is specificaly for the marine departments. I have had a boat there several times for issues that originated after purchasing the boat form them. A host of issues have come after that and everytime I bring it in for service It never actually gets resolved. i have a boat that doesnt display fuel levels that is only a year old and it never seems to get fixed for one excuse or anohter. the boat engine coninuesly brakes down and has to come back for warranty repairs but everytime they complete a warranty repair it has a new issue as soon as I pick the boat up. when i purchased the boat here the parts that were upgraded were never returned to me even though I did request them. the batterys that were sold for the trolling system were billed as deep cycle battereys but i recieved basic drive batterys. now the most recent issue the mercury motor has left me stranded in the bay for the 7th time and the dealer just acts as this is a normal thing for a new boat. avoid this center at all cost. go a few miles down the road to big d mairne atleast they have a compatent technician there. i have escelated this through the marine department and have recieved absolute garage customer service from the sales manager at this location. read more

My husband and son love coming here. I came for the first time with my dad. We were looking for extra magazines for my new hand gun. Unfortunately, they did not have the one I needed (despite purchasing the handgun there). BUT, we appreciated the guy helping us telling about a website we can order them from. I've gone from a Bass Pro newcomer to enthusiast in only a few weeks. My first ever visit to a Bass Pro Shop occurred after taking the wrong exit through Pearland and...I can't get over how beautiful this place is. This is certainly a clear sign that I've been living under a rock. Notably, I've never lived near Bass Pro and, as of a few months ago, I'm now within 20 miles of this glorious shop. This place is wonderful for outdoor and fishing gear and a good reminder that I've been desensitized from bland and boring big-box retail spaces. I brought my fishing pole to Bass Pro hoping they could fix a simple issue. Unfortunately, the repair was either rushed or not done correctly, because the same problem happened again the first time I used it. I expected better service and attention to detail from a store that's supposed to be built for serious outdoorsmen. Nobody followed up, and I was left to fix it myself. This is second time at the store. The first time we read the reviews, and went anyway. It took almost an hour for someone to help my husband. Came back today to look at reels. After waiting almost 20 minutes for help a sales person helps me and to select a Shimano reel that cost $300. He has a box in his hand. I'm just trying to find braided line. Another person comes and tells the salesman to help someone else and pulls him away from me, and I walk off and leave. Not that it matters but it's a little bit funny because he was helping someone select some fishing hooks with my $300 fishing reel in his hand while I was waiting even longer I will never go to this store location again read more

No ammo... again!!!! I did pick up a couple of really nice flannel shirts that I don't think I could have found anywhere else. I don't mean to brag, but I look damn good in them. No woman will be able to resist me now. They have tons of good fishing gear. Prices are ok. Decent knife selection. Good camping department. It's fun to just walk around and look at all the mounted fish and animals. The big fish tank is always fun too. I swear they used to have a terrarium tank with rattle snakes. DO NOT SHOP HERE WHILE BLACK !!! Yesterday 6/12 @5:20 my boyfriend and I decided to go shopping for bullets for hog hunting. We met 2 other friends there. As we're walking in we stop and talk to a few employees in the front. My boyfriend is very well known in the Pearland Bass Pro shop. He's spent thousands of dollars at this location, and he brings over $10,000 worth of reels to be spooled at this location. We all go upstairs to the gun area and we are looking at bullets. While we are looking at bullets there are 2 other black customers shopping around. I notice that the older Asian guy is starring at us. He keeps coming down the aisle that we were on pretending to work. He returns back behind the counter, I WATCHED HIM BLATANTLY IN THE OPEN flag his other sales associate down and points in 3 different directions pointing towards all the black customers telling him to watch us. Once I noticed I didn't say anything just to see how far he would go. My friend is still on the bullet aisle looking at bullets, opening them up to check and make sure everything was ok with them. When I notice the older Asian guy pointing directly at my friend talking to his coworker. He still hasn't noticed that I'm watching him do this to us. My friend finally decides on a pair of bullets and starts walking up to the counter. I refused to let him buy the bullets because we being accused of stealing. We have NEVER STOLE from Bass Pro Shop EVER !!!! Then when we asked why they were watching us and talking about us. They didn't even have the decency to look us in our face and tell us why !! THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE BEEN PROFILED AT THE GUN COUNTER AT BASS PRO SHOP !!!! We always talk very highly of Bass Pro Shop. We have spent thousands of dollars at your store! This place is so huge!! I drive by it every day twice a day to and from work and had always wanted to go in. I recently went in for lunch at Islamorada Fish Company restaurant located inside http://www.yelp.com/biz/islamorada-fish-company-pearland. As I walked in I was in sensory overload! There is so much to look at. We decided to tour the place before we went to eat. We walked through the area with fishing rods and reels, did you know you can get a pink rod a reel?? I love the huge fish tanks, waterfall, and tons of outdoors and camping equipment. I'm not a big fan of the dead stuffed animals, but I guess it comes with this type of store. There is also a fudge shop in the store which I will be trying out next time. This place is HUGE and not cheap, but its a feast for the eyes. It does feel a bit like a Disney World ride. As you walk in you are greeted by an employee and then you have to walk through a turnstile. I guess it helps them keep track of the number of people in the store? Can you imagine if you got stuck in this place overnight? It'd be like "Night in the Museum" but with freeze dried food and camping stoves! LET ME SET THE STAGE THEY LOST MY KAYAK!!!!! I am a full time RVer traveling the 49 states fishing every state. I looked and compared and finally decided on the 106 PDL. What a great fishing platform. I then found it online at bass pro where I am a pro club member and ordered it on January 30 with the anticipation of receiving it on the 8-10 of February. Now I pay my bills immediately so once I purchased it through my pro membership (bass pro credit card) I immediately paid it off not thinking about the nightmare that was about to unfold. The 8th came and went then the 10th and still no kayak. I called corporate bass pro and they said it shipped on the second. Now I must tell you that I move every 2 weeks and had allocated enough time for the shipment to arrive. Now I'm out of time and had to extend my time at the RV park that I was in and cancel my next RV park, the total cost of $1700. Which at the time I figured what the heck I'm getting my kayak that's all the matters. Bass pro uses a shipping company by the name of ABF shipping for their kayaks. So I called ABF shipping to find out where my kayak was. They said they had a lot of crates in Dallas and it should be expedited for the 14th. When the 14th came and there was still no kayak I called them back and now they have lost the kayak. How can you lose 116 pound kayak? At any rate I have extended here and they have lost the kayak and bass pro just canceled my order. They are sold out now and I have $2000 of my money and I have no kayak and am out $1700 for extending and canceling my next RV park. I am beyond frustrated. My Google reviews get over 250,000 hits and I feel bad but I'm going to have to review bass pro and ABF shipping for this. I'm sure the people will see it and not order from Bass Pro. Also when I called corporate Bass Pro their reply was to offer me a $20 gift card a 1% hush-hush fee to try to appease me and make me feel better. I literally laughed and said that was a slap in my face it wouldn't even put a gas in my truck to go to pick it up at Bass Pro. $3700 out of my pocket and no kayak. Also yes they reimbursed my money that I originally paid but I'm still out almost $2000 for issues stated above. I will be posting this on all media websites that are available which I informed them of. Their answer?? The middle finger in my face. read more

I've called customer service on three different occasions for a bow part order I placed on December 22, 2023. Of those three times, only a single time was I successfully transferred to the archery department. No part. A second time, I was transferred on several occasions to the bass pro shop in San Antonio. It's now January 16th, my final call today to check on the status of my part and I've been transferred three different times to ringing of 5+ minutes. No one can tell me anything and it's frustrating. The staffing and management clearly lack proper communication. I guess I'll have to go in person to get an answer. We usually visit here when they have events such as photos with Santa, the Easter Bunny, Halloween events, etc... This place is huge! Right when you walk in, there is a big fireplace great photo op! The customer service desk is right when you walk in. There are usually people there. I've always gone in during event times so there have always been employees around to ask for help in anything. There's an aquarium inside near the stairs that is always enjoyable for the kids. We always get a photo with Santa every year for the past eight years. It's become tradition at this point. I was glad to see that they decided to continue with Santa photos this year although now it's with new safety measures due to COVID. They now have a plexiglass between Santa and the children taking photos with him. Santa is also wearing a face shield. The plexiglass is placed within a block that children can sit on. In our pictures, you can't even tell that the plexiglass is there. It really is glare-free! At this location, they moved Santa's Wonderland from the back where it usually is to inside their restaurant. We made reservations online - which was also new. It was mandatory to make an online reservation as they did not accept walk-in's like they had in years past. It worked out great for us actually. We made a last minute decision to get Santa photos and there just happened to be a few afternoon spots available that day. As we walked into the restaurant aka Santa's Wonderland, they had social distancing markers on the floor. Each round marker stated a variation of a line from the song "The twelve days of Christmas" but with a Bass Pro theme - of course. Very cute! In the room with Santa, one family went in at a time. We were lucky that there were still reservations free before us so when we went in, no one else was around. Pictures were done quickly. Kids still get to speak to Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas. As we were leaving that area, we saw a room set up with ducks in a galley and some bow and arrows in a barrel. Once we were out of that area, they also had a shooting gallery near the entrance of the restaurant. In the past, there was a whole section of different play areas like the duck galley, shooting gallery, Lincoln logs, kinetic sand table and an area to write Santa letters and do crafts. We did see Santa's mailbox and got to write Santa a letter at one of the booths but there were no crafts. It wasn't designed for children to start and spend a lot of time here like in the years prior. We were glad that at least kids were able to write their letters to Santa and drop it off at the mailbox. All in all, it was a good Santa visit. I'm grateful they were able to offer photos with Santa and still kept to Santa's Wonderland as much as was safe to do so. I'm sure everyone looks forward to it every year as much we do. read more

Need to improve in communication. Bought a product that was not completely ready when I arrived. I called earlier prior to arrival and they said just wait until you get the email stating it has been delivered and you will be able to come pick it up. Well now it turns out I need to wait for an additional email saying that they have process it. Living in Pearland I've driven by this place 100s of times, always wondered what was going on inside. Today I stopped it and this place is bonkers! It's the size of a small mall, so it takes time to cover the entire place. There is taxidermy literally everywhere! Pretty sure most Texas species were there. There's a full on waterfall, massive aquarium filled with Texas fish. Didn't have enough time to see everything today, but I will be back to try the restaurant, yes, there is a restaurant! This place is so cooooooooooooooollllll!!! The layout is so outdoorsy, they even have a mini aquarium with fishes in it. The mountain has a hidden hiker on it, so cool. Deers, fishes, fishing poles, ATVs, hunting materials, even a bakery and a restaurant. Oh and I can't forget about the shooting range, super neat. The ladies restroom actually looks like a outback outhouse, sounds nasty, but it pairs well with the theme. However, everything in this store is expensive, but that doesn't matter much since the store is so nice looking. read more

STAY AWAY - VEHICLE BURGLARY HOTSPOT Today I stopped by to check out their fishing gear, I was uncertain as the last two times I came to this store there were vehicle burglaries, the first time it was my co workers vehicle which was broken into and none of the staff cared and simply said it was out of their control. The second time it was another customers vehicle which I noticed as the police were on scene and taking information when I parked. Well today once again as I was leaving the store there was a pickup truck with the rear window smashed and the customer was on the phone with police. It happened between 2pm-3pm in the parking lot directly in front of the main entrance. When brought to the attention of the manager they only said they have a security patrol onsite.... Well I drove around the property looking for that patrol...they have one from Allied Universal in a marked vehicle; BUT he was parked at the back of the property with the seat reclined playing on his phone... a lot of good that does for the patrons visiting the store. I will never return to this location and would advise others to steer clear as well, they clearly do not take their customer safety as a priority and I would not want to try and shop with the thought of my vehicle being burglarized when I returned to it. I wanted to pickup some things with gift cards that I had received as gifts. When I stopped at Customer Service to combine several cards into one, I was told that they weren't allowed to do that any more. Well, I gave them the benefit of the doubt since it was last year when I had combined cards before. I looked around the store, but didn't find everything that I was looking for and walked back to my car. I had a feeling that the customer service person really didn't want to combine the cards. I called Cabelas in League City when I got to my car and asked the customer service person there if they could combine the cards and was told yes sir. I know it's the same company now, but I will never stop at this Bass Pro again. I work in customer service and I can't imagine what would happen if I blatantly lied to a customer. I love this store. It looks good, the environment is extremely friendly, they have a vast variety of sporting goods for men, women and children. The fudge shop should be banned for anyone with a sweet tooth or anyone that has not eaten lunch. The employees are very kind and informative. They went out of their way to ask me if I needed anything but they didn't go overboard to make me feel as though I was being watched everywhere I went. Their prices are okay but I would think for a large chain like bass pro they could do a little bit better on their prices. What I mean by that is if an item is on clearance sale and original price was $54.99 I would think the clearance price would be a little bit less than $49.99. The quality of products they carry is excellent. So after all that you wonder why I did three stars instead of five. Well the reason is because I witnessed a salesperson in the gun counter attempting to sell a weapon to a gentleman who knew little to nothing about guns. I watched for little while but then I had to intervene. As a gun enthusiast I could not stand and let that go by. After a discussion with the gentleman who was going to make the purchase and speaking to the salesperson, the purchaser actually walked out with exactly what he wanted/needed instead of what the salesperson was trying to sell him. read more

Hello, today me and my brothers where going to bass pro to get some camping stuff for are dads. While we in the outdoor section looking at the camping bags one of there workers named Kevin rudely and disturbingly came up to us and assumed we where trying to get in the hanging sleeping bag when all we where trying to do is get stuff for our dads. He then smirk at us when we told him what we where actually doing and told us "yeah right. What are we five." Then me and my brothers decided to be the bigger person and walk away. As we continued to shop he followed us and was being extremely creepy. It made me feel like I was being stalked and made me and my brothers very uncomfortable. All we where trying to do was do something nice for our fathers and he stalked us and was very disrespectful. He should be fired!!!! read more

Day after Christmas and took my daughter to bass pro shop to get some accessories for her new bow I bought her. They were busy of course in the archery pro shop area , but Jeremy that was taking care of other customers assured us that he would get to us as soon as possible. They treat their employees really bad. They discriminate against people who are in the lgbtq+ community and treat them like crap if they are in that community. One of the managers there picked on a female employee for having a girlfriend and always targeted her every 5 minutes. They are very unprofessional is this essence. I would never recommend this place. I would stop by and give my girlfriend lunch while she was at work and she always got in trouble when I was there. It was to the point that they told me I wasn't welcome in the store anymore as long as she was there. I would have to sneak in to use the restroom or I would get in trouble. They humiliate their employees if they do not look happy enough by trying to make them dance in the middle of the store. read more
