I love coming to Bass Pro Shops. Being an avid hunter and fisherman, they have everything to make both of those a successful trip. Everything from high end boats, ATV's, gear, camping, clothing, weapons, you name it can be found here. My kids like watching the fish tank and seeing all the different fish inside. A great place to shop for the outdoor person in your life. They have such a huge selection of merchandise, I am sure you can find something for everyone. Be sure and price shop though. All though they have pretty much everything, you might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere. read more

I tend to go here more often than not due to one of the menfolk in my life wanting to stop by. Not to say that I don't like camping and fishing, but I probably wouldn't stop by these stores as often on my own. I would suggest doing some price checking one any big purchase for sometimes they have a great price and sometimes they are much higher than you could get elsewhere. If you have a person in your life (including yourself) that loves the outdoors, then this is a safe, happy haven for you. read more

I love Bass Pro Shop but when it comes to customer service and integrity I am very disappointed in this store. I called today before I drove 1hr and 30 min to get there if they had Dutch Oven Liners. The lady answered the phone I explained I was comming from 1hr and 30 min away and wanted to make sure they had it in stock before I drive that far for nothing. She put me on hold and was gone for a bit and finally got back on the phone and informed me that yes they have 10inch and 12inch liners. So I drove all the way there only to find out they did not have the liners I asked for. I asked to talk to the MOD because all the people I tried talking to just kept sending me to other people. Basically the MOD said nope we dont have them and what do you want me to do about it. He didnt even try to look it up or go to check the stock in back. He flat out was in a rush to get rid of me rather than help. read more

I was eying a pair of boots on the Bass Pro website and hoped to find them in-store to confirm the correct size/color. I arrived 1.5 hrs prior to closing and wandered looking for someone to help me to no avail. I was ignored by every single employee I encountered, even as I tried to approach them, they turned and walked away. I'd heard there were some racism issues at this location but that definitely confirmed it for me. I eventually found the manager who directed me to an associate named Andrea. When I explained what I was looking for she rudely scoffed at my inquiry and informed me that they didn't have much in shoes available at their store. When I tried to continue and ask to see what they *did* have available in-store, Andrea (the sales associate) rolled her eyes and said there really wasn't anything there for me. I told Andrea that she was behaving rather rudely for someone whose job was to interact with customers and she rudely stated that I needed to leave the store. This interaction really speaks poorly of the store. I attempted to find the manager to complain about the situation but could not locate him. I will never shop at this Bass Pro Shop again. I have had much better interaction with employees of Academy and Sports Authority. read more

Not as crowded as other Bass Pros I've been to but that is favorable for me. I just bought a rifle here and had plenty of time with the guys at the gun counter who were all happy to answer my questions about the different guns they had. I'm new to Texas so they were also happy to answer questions I had about hunting in Texas. read more

Awesome,Awesome,Awesome!!! Those are the only words you can use to describe this Man-Tastic utopia. Everything you can imagine and more accessories than you can shake a fishing pole at. Animal Mounts all over the store (Can you count all the squirrels? Im up to 28!) and there is even an aquarium with what seems like hundreds of fish! Go upstairs and play the indoor shooting game if your feeling lucky. They literally have everything outdoors related under one roof so i guess i'll see you there. read more

My son bought a used Tracker Bass Boat that's needed some service on a few of occasions. One was a scheduled annual engine check up, which came in about 1/3 less than we expected to have to pay. The other two were issues that popped up while fishing and, on both occasions we stopped by on the way home from the lake. The Tracker service dept. not only took care of the problems, (both were electrical in nature) but refused to take a dime for doing so. It's like a mission of theirs to get you back out on the water ASAP. read more

The guys at Hunting Dept are the laziest workers. I waited for someone to help me patiently when there were only 2 customers and 4 employees. 2 was talking to a teen for 25 minutes and 2 employees talking to just one customer while i waited with my number in my hand. These guys have no concept of customer experience. They should check the video. This is why i go to Academy its just they have this one scope i want in stock. Usually Academy has everything in stock but not this time but next time i will just order online. read more

If you just want to look at a lot of cool outdoor goods this is a great place. The store is laid out nicely and the fish tank is neat as well. On the other hand this place is about worthless if you really need to purchase items. Take for example gun ammo. I can get it for 3-5 dollars less at Academy. Most everything else is way more expensive than other stores in the area. So unless you are killing time or want to get out of the house, I would go somewhere else to spend money. read more

I read Cory O's review with mixed feelings. Evidently, she has a misguided impression that Bass Pro Shops is somehow directly connected to Texas. This is not at all true. The HQ for Bass Pro Shops is in Missouri. The only thing really big I find about Bass Pro Shops is their pricing. The times I have been there, the counter help was not really interested in selling me anything. Their pricing on common sporting goods items is about 10% above their competition. My husband and I asked a guy behind the gun counter if we could take a look at a gun. He didn't even look up and told us he was busy. Told us to take a number and ask someone else for help. He was busy on his computer and didn't even acknowledged us when he saw us. His demeanor was rude and arrogant. We got pissed and just left. We will never be coming back to this place. Wonderful experience! The employees wanted to help me save money and wanted everyone to get what they need in their price zone.

Went for the archery range and to see there selection for supplies. First of all we were standing at the desk for 10mins the guy finally comes out after the people in the gun area told him twice he has customers,then he gives us an attitude about shooting in the range opens the door then we realize theres no arrows, i asked him before if we need to bring out own arrows in he didnt reply so i realize once we got in there none i tried to go look for him once again the people in the gun area trying to call him out to help us,yet again another 10mins,i told him let me back in the range cause i got locked out to get my arrow after i asked him and he didnt reply. He gave me an attitude again as if he did not want to help anyone just be lazy. I went to customer service to complain on him the head manager asked abt the situation i explained to her,seemed she didnt care much. I dont like this bass pro,i will drive to the pearland location if i have to. read more

This is the worst store with an attitude against people driving RV. We recently visited the store in a motor home with a Jeep in tow. After spending $$$ in outdoor gears, we found out our Jeep had a transfer case problem. Being on Sunday afternoon, we asked their permission to park overnight and get the Jeep fixed by a near by dealer on Monday. Their arrogant answer was our motor home and Jeep would be towed by them at a $1000 fine. This is a store with a really bad attitude to their own customers. read more

Went to buy hiking boots. Had to track down a sales person. She pulled 2 different pair for me to try on. She assisted 2 other shoppers. Then disappeared. I wanted to try a couple other pairs before deciding. But she was nowhere to be found. Need to instruct the staff on how to close a sale. No sale here. read more

The people that work here are incredibly rude. No customer service. Especially the old man in the front. -_- the store is cool though.

Beware! This year Bass Pro shops decided to limit visiting Santa! We were at this store last night with my 4 1/2 year old grandson to visit Santa. After standing in line, a store employee asks for the ticket/pass to see Santa. Unaware that we needed a ticket, I asked where do we get one? The reply was "we are all sold out for today, and if you don't have a ticket you don't get to see Santa". I then spoke with the store manager, because surely they would not allow children to NOT visit Santa. The manager was unapologetic and just said no Santa without a pass - corporate decision. This was disappointing since there was a short line. We drove 1 1/2 hours to go to the store. In the past years, I wait on line to see Santa with the children while Dad shops. We did not buy anything this year and will not ever purchase anything at Bass Pro Shops again. read more

Yes its a nice store. But if you try to call for ANYTHING forget it. The departments dont answer the phone. The managers dont answer pages. And the employees are clueless. And the receptionist is too busy laughing and having a good time to care or do anything but behave completely unprofessionally. Just a nightmare in customer service that only rivals wal-mart. I think cabelas is much better all the way around. read more

Do not special order a Browning gun safe from here. I went to make a special order on a Browning gun safe. The reason I used Bass Pro is because I already had a large gift card to the store. Once inside it took 3 people 25 minutes to simply open a safe so I could look inside. Completing the special order paperwork took over an hour. While waiting I saw employees behind the gun counter drop multiple guns on the floor (one rifle with a scope). The entire transaction took almost 3 hours just to order a safe. The employees were unprofessional, and seemed to know very little about the process or even operating the cash register. I was promised the safe in 6-8 weeks. It is now week 9 and the only response I get from the store is they are backordered and it could take up to 16 weeks. Very nice selection of outdoor equipment. Some items can be a bit pricey, so it is best to do some price shopping. However, I like this place because most items I use are fully stocked and there is a decent selection of merchandise. read more

Save your money and your time and go to Academy. This store's customer service is terrible. The gun department cannot be troubled to order guns they carry that they do not currently have in stock. If you give someone a gift card for a gun that Bass Pro Shops people behind the counter recommend make sure they will always have it in stock or you will receive a nasty phone call from the person who orders the guns at the store because you are making them actually do their job. I spend $6000 on gift cards every year for an event and needless to say I will never be coming back to this store again. read more
