I really like this park because if the different trails. It's very huge and has lots to get into. I was first introduced to this park by the Houston Women's Hiking group, they had a hike out this way and at the time I lived an hour away. The drive was long, but well worth it. We covered 5 miles of hiking through the forest. The forest trails aren't primarily flat, but has some slopes. Its covered in pine needles making the walk easier with hiking boots. Poles aren't necessary needed. When I come alone, I enjoy walking the trail around the pond admiring the trees and ducks. I also really like the trail that's alongside the residential area. It's secluded to say that there isn't a lot of foot traffic. Last week, I came here to show Sneakers the park. We initially went to the dog park. The small section is medium sized with a walking path around. The larger dog park is huge. There was no one in the smaller park when we were there so we left and went to walk the pond trail. There's restrooms onsite next to the gigantic pavilion with the electric fan. Sometimes during events, the sheriff will close the whole park. I remember the weekend before Halloween, my hiking group had a planned hike here, but we weren't allowed in. I was disappointed since I'd driven so far to get here. Also, if you're looking for lunch check out Wheel House Kitchen just 2 minutes away then come back to enjoy the park. There's activities for everyone.

Then here a long time ago, it has changed a lot absolutely gorgeous. Could not get over it. There are tons of pavilions and barbecue pits smokers lots of different play areas a dog to fish off of a huge running course. It would take several trips to explore the whole thing thoroughly and still, I think you might be surprised to come back and find something you'd never seen before. It be a beautiful place to take pictures in the evening or to have a picnic date.

Really awesome park! I came here with my pup for a fishing day. Catch and release park that has a beautiful layout. There are picnic tables and sitting areas for those who want to enjoy a meal outdoors or just to relax with family. Awesome little pond/lake area for fishing. Definitely enjoyed exploring this park. Do recommend if you live close by.

Pond full of lotus plants July 2022. Been coming here since early 80s This park has had a lotus outbreak before many years ago and has seen many changes over the years. This is a very diverse park and is sure to find a interest for just about anyone in sports, hiking, fishing or a picnic. Wildlife can be seen here also something for the shutterbugs (camera people) . Thanks Roy for a great p

What a gorgeous and well kept park! With trees getting chopped down ever so frequently around here to build homes, it's so nice to come to a park that helps you embrace nature again and admire God's creations. The park is so large that it can accommodate so many visitors without it ever feeling packed. So nice for all of us to be able to enjoy this park without feeling like we picked a bad day to do it (Sunday). Parking was a breeze as well. There's a lovely lake for great catch and release fishing and many ducks and squirrels ready to be fed by a friendly patron. You can take a stroll, jog, or bike with a beautiful scenery on their various trails ranging from .7 to 3.23 miles long. Quite a few different playground areas for kiddies big and small, and nice grassy areas and picnics tables and benches scattered throughout. I love that there's a guy on a golf cart rolling around and making sure facilities and everything is up to par too. They have a large pavilion that can be reserved for a fee, and another gazebo area that can be used for nice gatherings/birthday parties on a first come, first serve basis. I'll definitely be coming back to relax, and maybe swing on the swings...never too old for that!

Nice place, peaceful and beautiful. Suitable for walking around, barbeque, and fishing.

This is a great and beautifully maintained park! I go here 1-2 times a week with my puppy dog and she just loves every second of it! The dog park is very large, completely fenced in and has about a half mile of track for people to walk around on. They have hoses to wash your dogs feet off with because it gets muddy with all the rain. I can't even say the word "park" any more with out my Layla getting all excited

Burrough's Park combines all the best park elements into one. There's sports fields, playgrounds, a huge pavillion, a lake for fishing and miles of trails to explore. I've been here with large (150 people) and small groups and it works well for each of these occaisions. Definitely a hidden gem of the Harris County park system. They do need to work on their "hedge maze" it's pretty sparse and doesn't really work.

We loved it here! There's a fishing pond, plenty of playgrounds, and a huge dog oark! I was absolutely amazed! For my daughter, she loved to walk by the water. She did have fun playing on the equipment until some kids went crazy with squirt guns and water balloons, scaring my kid. The parents didn't care, either. The same kids were dumping water down the slide of the under 5 year old playground, despite being older children who really should have known better. As for the dog park, I liked the facility and the water fountains. The bathroom nearby was clean. I let my dogs go over from the under 25 pound section to the over 25, since there was one other dog in such a large space. My girls were overjoyed with the hiking sensation and exploration. While quite the drive for us, it was a fun part of our "daycation."

This park is huge! Love all the ducks and squirrels. Because of its size, even on the weekends, you don't feel crowded.

They had a great time playing football and basketball along with tennis. Another group used the pavilion before us. Trash cans were so full trash was blowing out of them. We tried to call the number, but the automated message advised the call back would be next business day. At the time of booking, we asked if the pavilion had a grill, we were told yes, but found it was located in a different area. This was disappointing and a bit inconvenient. The person grilling couldn't join the party until all the food was cooked. There was not a "reserved" sign so we had several people asking if and when we would be done using the pavilion. Several children with motor bikes and regular bikes were trying to ride through the middle of the pavilion while the party was going on. We continued to have to advise this was a private party and it was rented out. As we were packing and cleaning up, another group was already starting to setup, we still had it for another hour!! We were disappointed about the lack of signage and that there was no one tending to the park. Overall, we were disappointed so we do not recommend renting this for private parties, but recommend just for a normal park visit.

It has a California type feeling because of how open the layout looks. I'm very happy that they decided to go with the rubber on the bottom instead of the mulch because that always gets in kids' feet and is so annoying. The rolling down part is so cute and very fun and I'm happy that they included a splash pad because of how hot our summers are. Not to be a negative nancy, there are a few points that need to be told. 1) The climbing structure is high. I mean, I know it makes sense that a climbing structure will be high, but it's extremely high, and there's no safety net. I don't let my toddler up there alone because if she slips, she would definitely fall from a very high place. You need siblings or something to go together. And even then it would make me nervous. 2) I wish there was more covering so that we would have shade as well. I really don't understand why we don't have more shade coverings in parks in Texas. 3) I can understand having to make reservations to use the picnic tables, but we should not be charged so much just to use picnic tables in a free park. That's ridiculous. I feel like I can't complain because this is absolutely the nicest park in the area now, but these things definitely should be taken under consideration when visiting.
