Well lit at night so this park is an option for an early or late dark evening especially during the fall season. Bench and other seating options or ground picnic options were plentiful. My favorite part is the walkway that goes around the waterway back to the mall where you can get a nice view of the water and the landscape. There's also a trolley that goes through here if you don't feel like walking and you can rent boats for the water. But you'll get the best experience by walking here. You gotta get your steps in somehow right!?

It has a dog park near the entrance/exit and lot of parking spaces. There are 2 huge covered area with the middle part being clean restrooms. I also saw some kids bday party taking place under one of the area and there were still places to sit that wasn't in their party. I love that it has turf and also some real grass, perfect for picnicking. But what we really enjoyed was the center of it all, the splash pad. Perfect for hot days and also the fact that they had a truck there selling ice pops and cold treats which made it extra worth it. Huge slides and play house, only downside is when I went the biggest slide wasn't in use. But there are more slides and do much more to do. We had fun and will be back ever so often.

You'll also see people hosting parties since there are spaces you can reserve. There's even a fishing lake, which is a nice bonus. We come here all the time and love it. Now, that was a pleasant surprise for Lulu and me last Saturday. We stayed sitting at one of the tables, watching the games. But there's more here; it's a children's playground, several trails throughout the wooded areas, and the paths are cleared of debris. It's a really clean park, the tables aren't stained. There are plenty of garbage cans throughout. It's plenty of parking; even on Saturday, when the park was packed, we still got a place. I like that the big trees block out more of the sun, giving Lulu more time to enjoy her walks and being nosy. As you can see in the picture, there's a little bookhouse, and I bought some books the other day to drop off. That's the least I can do, my way of apologizing to the ducks and turtles for Lulu barking and wagging her tail at them.

I was hiking alone on a trail once in 2023 and a light green snake rose from the ground and intensely stared at me. This snake was taller than me and I'm 5'6 for reference. The specific trail I was on was connected to the playgrounds. This was a terrifying and honestly traumatic experience; but I wanted to share my experience as a warning because I know lots of people bring their kids and pets there. Please be safe if you choose to go; but no matter how beautiful it is I can't recommend due to safety issues concerning the wilderness. I only walked away from the snake incident unscathed by the grace of God.

If you're looking for a long walking trail, you won't have that here as the park only stretches a couple blocks. But the garden areas mixed with the miniature bodies of water and fountains make the scenery here breathtaking. The park is clean and the citizens here make sure it's in pristine condition. Make sure you do the same! I tend to stop here whenever I need a break and I'm near the 249 area near willow oaks. You should do the same!

The walking paths have recently been upgraded to asphalt rather than packed clay, and there are a couple of hiking trails through the forested areas to enjoy as well. Closes around dusk and the constables do pass through and nudge folks out before closing. Locking gates were also recently added. My dog enjoys our walks here especially when she sniffs out the occasional deer or rabbit that live along Cypress Creek. If you do the whole loops the walking path is about 2.5 miles.

FYI: the trail is paved and stroller accessible. On the way back, we took another trail which was dirt and had no issue taking the stroller on that as well. Nice playground for kids. There are bathrooms just past the playground. I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. So, don't go by appearances and actually tug on the door! There are two relatively small parking lots that fill up quickly but there is also street parking available.
