It has a dog park near the entrance/exit and lot of parking spaces. There are 2 huge covered area with the middle part being clean restrooms. I also saw some kids bday party taking place under one of the area and there were still places to sit that wasn't in their party. I love that it has turf and also some real grass, perfect for picnicking. But what we really enjoyed was the center of it all, the splash pad. Perfect for hot days and also the fact that they had a truck there selling ice pops and cold treats which made it extra worth it. Huge slides and play house, only downside is when I went the biggest slide wasn't in use. But there are more slides and do much more to do. We had fun and will be back ever so often.

The playground areas are especially great for families because there are several scattered throughout the park, so it never feels overly crowded. The fishing ponds are also a nice touch if you want to slow things down and relax for a bit. It's a great spot for a weekend walk, letting the kids burn off some energy, or just getting some fresh air. The park is generally well maintained and there's plenty of room to spread out. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it can get pretty busy on nice days and parking near the playgrounds fills up fast. But overall, it's definitely one of the better parks in the area and worth the visit.

There is also ample parking. We visited in mid October and while it was still pretty hot, the shade of the pavilion makes for a nice day out. We were able to play several games in the nearby grassy area - making sure to drink plenty of water! There are a few trees so it isn't totally open but large enough for group games. There's a ditch area further out that's pretty easy to retrieve balls and frisbees from if they go too far. All in all a solid picnic option!

There's a water splash area as well as operational steam and diesel model trains. Other amenities include exercise station, picnic areas, a playground and two reservable pavilions. It is as an excellent choice. The kids enjoyed it and the pavilions provided more than adequate shelter. One thing tho just need to make a reservation. It's not first come first serve. They also allowed us to provide and serve our own food.
