It's also where the workout machines are which is so cool! It's also covered. There are two rentable covered pavilions with a smoker/ grill and sink with water access. There are also smaller covered areas with picnic tables which are first come first served. It has a bathroom which was actually clean and nice inside. This is just one area of the park but there is a huge pond to fish, a large walking trail around the pond on the other side and I've only explored a portion of this park. My kids loved it. We will be back!

Am I wrong or is this an all inclusive park AKA disability park?? There's a sign that says up to age 12?! (He's 14 btw but still loves parks) AND the swings for kids needing assistance were broken and the boat for those in wheelchairs was broken!! The big spider web thing also was no longer covered in the protective coating over the thick metal wiring. Extremely disappointed that the park for one, only allows children up to age 12 (so disabled teens aren't welcome?) and two that the park equipment looked run down. Won't be back to this park when we come back to town.

People walk their dogs in the evening. So it feels safer than I first thought. If you plan a tour, please make sure you have insect repellent. Long pants + top with sleeves, even better with a hoodie. And move! Don't stay still!

The paths cover a long distance so you better be prepared to walk/hike with purpose. One of the more explorative preserves in the Houston area, the paths are mainly dirt/sand so if rains, it's gonna be a muddy mess, your footwear will get dirty. Hiking boots/shoes are the way to go. I haven't seen any bugs here like the other reviews mentioned but that's probably cause I'm here when it's sub 50 degree temperatures. Go and explore this one yourself; you'll be quite pleased! This is my favorite place to exercise when I need some fresh air. Facts: The walking path is cemented and about 1/3 mile per lap. There are 4 sets of picnic table with standing grill. No public restroom. Has playground with modern slides and safety features Since it's attached to a school ground, it appears to be bigger. 2 tennis courts are not fully caged and they need a little TLC. According to City of Houston, this 7-acre park was acquired in 1958. I can't confirm but almost always true with public parks, picnic tables are first come first serve. It has a dog park near the entrance/exit and lot of parking spaces. There are 2 huge covered area with the middle part being clean restrooms. I also saw some kids bday party taking place under one of the area and there were still places to sit that wasn't in their party. I love that it has turf and also some real grass, perfect for picnicking. But what we really enjoyed was the center of it all, the splash pad. Perfect for hot days and also the fact that they had a truck there selling ice pops and cold treats which made it extra worth it. Huge slides and play house, only downside is when I went the biggest slide wasn't in use. But there are more slides and do much more to do. We had fun and will be back ever so often.

Bridgestone Park is where it's at. It's a big, beautiful park with so much for kids to do. You'll also see people hosting parties since there are spaces you can reserve. There's even a fishing lake, which is a nice bonus. We come here all the time and love it. Parking can be a bit tight at times, but we've always managed to find a spot. Plus, there are several other playgrounds and open spaces nearby outside of Louie's Playground, which is a nice bonus!
