It reminded me of the Clearlake park near NASA with the water behind it, making it gorgous for a day at the park. I agree with the other reviewers that there definitely needs to be more shaded areas. I actually went up to a table that someone had left their stuff I just to sit at the edge of it because it was very bright but they need more tables with covered shade or shaded areas. I love to visit different parks in different locations but I'm always a little confused as to why there is not shaded areas even on top of the playgrounds because the equipment gets so hot in the summer and even in the winter is quite bright. The playground is great and my kids absolutely love the swing where a baby and older child could swing together. We also had fun with the faux tire swing. It was really nice to be able to see people jogging along the trails and women walking together on around the park-- I really enjoyed the feeling of community here.

Am I wrong or is this an all inclusive park AKA disability park?? There's a sign that says up to age 12?! (He's 14 btw but still loves parks) AND the swings for kids needing assistance were broken and the boat for those in wheelchairs was broken!! The big spider web thing also was no longer covered in the protective coating over the thick metal wiring. Extremely disappointed that the park for one, only allows children up to age 12 (so disabled teens aren't welcome?) and two that the park equipment looked run down. Now, that was a pleasant surprise for Lulu and me last Saturday. We stayed sitting at one of the tables, watching the games. But there's more here; it's a children's playground, several trails throughout the wooded areas, and the paths are cleared of debris. It's a really clean park, the tables aren't stained. There are plenty of garbage cans throughout. It's plenty of parking; even on Saturday, when the park was packed, we still got a place. I like that the big trees block out more of the sun, giving Lulu more time to enjoy her walks and being nosy. As you can see in the picture, there's a little bookhouse, and I bought some books the other day to drop off. That's the least I can do, my way of apologizing to the ducks and turtles for Lulu barking and wagging her tail at them.

I was hiking alone on a trail once in 2023 and a light green snake rose from the ground and intensely stared at me. This snake was taller than me and I'm 5'6 for reference. The specific trail I was on was connected to the playgrounds. This was a terrifying and honestly traumatic experience; but I wanted to share my experience as a warning because I know lots of people bring their kids and pets there. Please be safe if you choose to go; but no matter how beautiful it is I can't recommend due to safety issues concerning the wilderness.
