I've been going to this local field since January. Every time I go with my friends, we always have a great time. The staffs there are very friendly and helpful. Not to the mention the players there. They are friendly and have great sportsmanship. They always complement kills and shots, as well as apologies whenever someone got hurt or something went wrong. This CQB field isn't the biggest, but it's at least competitive and fun to play at. I always recommend this place to friends who are new to the sport and usually enjoy the experience overall. My family members got shot while inside where you are not supposed to fire. Seems to be run by kids since nothing was done about the situation. The refs have little to no clue whats going on. The place isnt well kept. Slip hazards, not only on the play field but inside the main gathering areas. Rules were not explained, operating the guns not explained. We came here for daughter's b-day party. The staff was very nice and helpful. Joseph the manager and his team were excellent! Our group of 10 got to play together and everyone enjoyed themselves. Tech star Airsoft scammed me... Getting to Techstar was confusing due to parking lot being empty and appearing to be closed. When I get into the place I'm greeted by the manager who claims to have a medical condition allowing him exempt from wearing a mask. I have 3 friends with me so I buy them each a rental package, with an upgraded gun for extra cost. Total "160". Not to mention the play area is swamped with BB's on the ground and my 1 of my friends slipped on some and fractured his elbow, I see why they push the waiver so hard... Mid round of the first game ,one of the guns considered "binary" stops cycling BB's and my friend brings a worker the gun. They inspect it and give him a lower tier rental gun, after the single game is over we return to the lobby. The manager walks up to me after I buy a water and chips for each of my friends and starts accusing us of "changing the hop up" and "messing with the gear box" while I confronted my friend first by asking if he knows what the manager is talking about and he shrugs his shoulders baffled that we are getting accused of "intentionally Breaking the gun". He continues to ask me to pay 9 extra dollars to "fix the gun". I tell him "I'll pay but I'm not using that weapon again because if something else breaks I'm not paying for it" he takes offense to this and immediately changes tone. And I take this to offense and tell him you know what I'll just leave. And no refund the most he would do is "not charge the 9 dollars". Waisted 160$ in 30 min for a horrible experience do not recommend. Try going to Highground Airsoft they have a way bigger field and nicer staff and better rentals in general and won't charge you for a malfunction of their rental guns. read more

Would not recommend this place!!!! Went in spent $140 only to have the 3 kids we took play 2 - 7minute games. After the party that was there left it was dead no one there to even run another game. The employee was extremely kind and said he wanted to call the owner to see if anything could be done because he knows the kids didn't get adequate time. The owner yelled and was very rude and said we utilized the services. It wasn't even us pressing the issue but at the end of the day this place is not worth it look into HighGround so much better setup and space for the same price and if purchased online even cheaper. This owner was awful and disrespectful. In addition they stop games at 8:00 even though it says they close at 9:00. The place is run down and dirty as well. Don't waste your money. read more

To be completely honest the field is literally just mid there's a lot and I mean a lot wrong with the field,it's kinda run down and the field is very small we also played only one game mode the entire time.also there is no ac and the only thing trying to keep the place cool was some cheap ac unit attached to the wall,but it's only ok so if you want a good airsoft field for new players and experienced players go to evike high ground it's way way better read more

Had a great time. Good indoor size for a group party. Great staff, very helpful. Left my M14 magazine and they called to let you know. Grenades okay to bring but not smoke grenades. Its a semi-auto only match. FPS must be below 350. Only suggestion need more ref to call out Hits. Players don't always call their hits. They do have a camera that records gameplay and you can see who didnt go all the way back to the respawn point lol. read more

We had our 12 year old sons birthday at TechStar on April 6th. We were very impressed. This is a family owned business that takes pride in making sure their customers are taken care of. My wife and I brought our son and his 3 friends to celebrate our son's 12th birthday. They had never played airsoft before. It was a great experience for all of us. Rates are very competitive, if not a bit better than other fields/arenas we've researched. They have a monthly membership program that allows you to pay $40/month and then play everyday that they are open (currently Thu - Sun). That program is the best value when you have your own equipment. Otherwise you need to rent every time you play. It's close by for us, so a huge plus. They just moved from another location, so they are still putting their finishing touches on their new facility. They expect to have a shooting range completed soon adjacent to the arena. Large gathering area with tables so you can leave your equipment and bring your own food. They only issue with the facility is that to access the bathroom area, you have to walk through the arena, so you have to put on protection, or wait until there is a break in the games. They have M4s and equipment for rental as well as rifles for sale. The M4s have full auto, but it it not allowed. You have to keep your muzzle mask on outside the gameplay area at all times. The full face masks can fit people with glasses, if that is your concern. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable about airsoft. One of their techs was a former/current corporate sponsored airsoft player. I believe he does gunsmithing and gun upgrades for TechStar. You can bring your own BB's but they must be high quality type and inspected by the tech. I don't know if they chrono personal guns for fps before games since we rented. Observers can watch the game play through a window wall! It's nice to be able to watch your kids in action. The staff, ref and other players were all super friendly. Great experience. Saw a few parents that came to pick up their kids at closing time. Keeps kids off the street, out of trouble, exercising and off the electronics. I think it also helps kids get used to thinking strategically and as team mates as well. Go and check out the facilities and a game or two. I don't think you'll be disappointed. The manager here is disrespectful and is scamming there customers. I had rented a gun here the best one and i test fired it one time before the game started and it didnt work. They then accused me of breaking it and pay them 9$. This has not happened once this place is a scam! read more

Well the first thing was we could not find the place in the parking lot so we made two laps around the mall. Then when I got in there the manager thought I was apart of group of kids that were banned there. The break room was full with bbs on the ground winch I almost slipped and could have broke something on the concrete floor. When I was there I wait 2 hours for people to finally get there. I had to buy a type of bbs there because there were bbs breaking on people mask when in the playing field there many bbs that were broken on the ground. They said they had military discount but when I had my military discount I had to have a family member that is in combat which my dad was in the army for 21 years so yea. It was $60 which it was $25 dollars for a whole day and not using there equipment which I did not use any of there equipment there except buy bbs form there shop!!!!!! The manager there told me a good deal for bbs buy 3 get $15 but instead it got changed to the whole total cost which was changed. They had only one field and it was very small and there were only 5 game modes. They had a no dance policy which if you dance you would be kick out. They had one target range which was above the field and bbs could fly throughout the shooting window and hit someone in the eye or hit other people. There safety video was dumb, to long ,and it wasn't even funny. The manager was tell me buy one of his gun play there free for one day. This whole review was written by a 14 year old.
