She hires high school students so she can take advantage of them. The owner saves money by hiring a bunch of teenagers and only giving each 3 hour shifts only a couple times a week. If you've experienced abuse at this location, call your local labor law attorney and file complaints against this employer. Unbelievable The only reason I give them two stars instead of one is because I've been here a few times and this is the first time this has happened to me. There were three employees on duty and I was the only customer. The three were all in the back of the store for a good 2 minutes before anyone came out to the front. One girl and one guy walk over to where I was standing, neither of them greeted me or even made eye contact. The female started scooping a huge cup of ice cream while the guy turned and walk away. I thought maybe she was getting off and the guy could only work the register. The 3rd employee stayed in the back. A couple walked in after about 2 minutes and was greeted immediately. I like this location a lot it has a little sitting area for you to hang out and eat your ice cream and enjoy it and it definitely has a little bit of space for you to hang out inside soon as we walked in the staff was welcoming. Ask us if we needed help with looking for anything specific or if we wanted to try any flavors however, we were ready, in the know of what we want so we went ahead and got multiple waffle cones with 1 to 2 scoops in various cones that were but the scoops were decent and they were not skipped at all as we know some ice cream shops use a smaller scoop. However, we could never say anything bad about Baskin Robbins, especially this place hands-down very friendly group that was working the evening we went. I placed an online order for a birthday cake on April 2nd for pick up today at 8:30pm. The guy, who I showed the order to on my phone, went to the back to pull my cake. He came back out saying the birthday cake wasn't in the freezers. He asked when I placed the order, and I told him April 2nd. He said they had an issue with their freezers last week & lost a lot of cakes. My thoughts: 1) why was the cake made a week in advance? 2) why wasn't I notified? 3) if you know you lost the cake, why wasn't it remade? Well I just had a horrible experience with the Baskin-Robbins store at 8:12 Alamo Dr., Vacaville, CA 95688 I got a Sundae with two scoops of ice cream hot fudge caramel and nuts, my husband got a banana split we brought them home to eat and was amazed that there was hardly any ice cream and either one of our menu items we had chosen, This was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had an ice cream shop. I will NEVER buy a cake from this Baskin-Robbins EVER again!!!! I ordered the white two tiered ice cream cake for my daughters 5th birthday and I spoke to an employee over the phone when I ordered this cake. Luckily I ordered it 5 days before the party because TWO days before the party I got a phone call saying they do not do two tiered cakes(even though it's on their website) which was a surprise to me but I figured we could do a half sheet cake and make it work. I pulled up and got out of my truck and it was 8:57PM. The girl behind the counter motioned to coworker, that I was approaching the door and he quickly moved and locked the door. I immediately called the store and the girl answered, I asked her what time the store closed and she replied 9:00 PM. I then asked her, why she informed her coworker and he immediately locked the door in front of me when it was only 8:57PM? She said she didn't and told her I witnessed it, since it was done right in front of me through the glass door. She said she doesn't look at her phone for the time, that she goes by the clock in the store. I told her, that I was also looking at the clock in the store and it said 8:57PM. I got a chance to stop by the Baskin Robbins in the Alamo Plaza this evening. I followed in behind two groups of customers. The first thing that I noticed was the fact that there was one employee present during this rush, handling both the ice cream orders as well as the cash register. As I stood inline awaiting by turn I could not be more impressed by the young man that worked behind the counter. Not only did he handle the multiple orders and multitask with ease, but he did so in such a professional, and enthusiastic manner! His smile was also very visible despite the mask that he wore. To be quite honest, watching this employee handle the masses the way that he did made me forget that I was actually waiting. He got through the customers prior to me so efficiently, that I too looked forward to his customer service. Nathan offered me a sample of a flavor called "Beach Day" that I asked about. Nathan's co-worker who was busy working on phone orders, chimed in and enthusiastically broke down all of the yummy goodness that was in the sample. I decided to go with a scoop of that as well as a scoop of the Flavor of the Month, "Inside Out Apple Pie." I made sure to let Nathan know how impressed I was with how he handled his solo act as well as thanked him for his great customer service. There was 3 people working, one supposedly "mixing" something, looked like he just didn't want to help us. The one girl who did decide to help, must have been new.
