We were only able to grab one loaf of bread and a profiterole. People who came in after us just simply left. So many bakeries will make a limited quantity of their items which they know will sell out in the morning - rather than planning a regular supply throughout the day for people who can't zip over first thing. It forces a line up and trendy appearance. It's a bit frustrating... even if the baked goods are tasty, I wouldn't try racing here first thing. It feels manipulative. There are so many great bakeries with goodies planned to be available into the afternoon, so there's no need to rush or line up. But I will review the two things we were able to secure which were honestly good. The foccacia bread tastes good, nice and fresh. The rosemary one is a regular here and I like having it with some good quality aged balsamic and olive oil. The strawberry lavender profiterole didn't have lavender flavour at all but the fresh strawberry and light whip cream was nice. If you live nearby, then you're in luck! Hopefully they'll start preparing more to last throughout the day in the future.
