Their soft serve ice cream is easily the best I've ever had. I am no ice cream connoisseur, but I have yet to experience anything similar so far. There is no pretense in flavors or gimmicks, just vanilla, chocolate, or swirl. Each flavor is to die for and is perfect on a hot summer day. The ladies working here stack each large cone a generous six to nine inches, which is an abundant bit of ice cream. When I was at the fair growing up, there wasn't one day where I didn't want to come here and enjoy a good vanilla cone. There was a six year absense before I came back this past summer and the ice cream was as good, if not better than I remember. Prices have remained consistent, the lines are always going to be long, and the service has always been nice. Alas, the window to try this place is limited as it's only open during the Oregon State Fair, which takes place at the end of summer. One thing is for certain, I won't ever wait six years again before I am back.

The order included a large hot fudge sundae, a medium caramel sundae with pecans, and a small Oreo Blizzard with extra Oreo. When we pulled in, the drive-through line was about six cars deep. It moved at a reasonable pace, and we were able to place our order without any issues. At the pickup window, we were handed our items but had to ask for a carrier. After pulling away, we noticed that the two sundaes appeared to be the same size. We're not entirely sure if sundaes actually come in different sizes, and nothing was mentioned at the time we placed the order. We also realized the caramel sundae did not include any pecans, and there was no comment about that omission. We were provided spoons, but no napkins. Since we didn't ask for a receipt, there was no easy way to confirm whether the order had been entered correctly. In the end, everyone enjoyed their dessert, and no one felt it was worth turning back. We chalked it up to a fairly typical fast-food experience, nothing exceptional, but satisfactory enough for a quick and convenient treat. Looking back, it's a little sad that lowered expectations for fast food have become the norm.
