Never has this happen before. I went in and asked if someone could open the cigar humidor. The lady opened it up I reached for a cuba cuba and she took it out of my hand and said I wasn't allowed to retrieve the cigars. So she reached for the one I wanted to smell and examine. She handed it to me I handed it back when I was done examining it and she put it back. I told her how dumb that entire process was. She said its just our policy. Lmao.... No common sence. They evidently know nothing about selecting cigars. I will be driving to lancaster for cigars from now on. They allow you to pick out your own cigar and smoke one there if you'd like. read more

Here is a review I would never thought would happen: if I have a choice of going to just one liquor store in Oregon, where would I go? I'd go here! Why is that weird? Well, I don't drink. This kind of place isn't exactly in my wheelhouse, but it was recommended to me by a buddy of mine, so I made the trip from Eugene to Keizer last year and was blown away by product selection and layout. There is a lot to see here. It has a large layout and there are usually quite a few people in there, so you need room. The wines have their own section and are stacked in a display set that makes it easy to see what is in each row and put your hands on them without having to stare at shelves. They do have shelves -- lots of them -- with various liquors and other flavored items for mixed drinks -- as well as knick-knacks and small gift ideas if you need something like that to accompany the beverage you may be gifting. They have a large wall of refrigerated drinks, too, and not all alcoholic. They have sodas and such like you would find at a convenience store. The first time I was there (last year), I had to ask for help with some of the wines. The woman that helped me wasn't well versed, but she was able to call over someone that knew enough to get me squared away. This year (and last year), I purchased a large assortment of the individual shots of liquor from behind the counter. The employees both times were there to offer me suggestions and explain what I was looking at. I recognize some liquor containers, but many I did not, but they took the time for me to be able to get 25 of them for my advent calendar I gifted to someone. This year, I made a special trip from Eugene to Keizer just to hit up this location. There is a specific dessert wine that my wife likes and they carry it. I can get it in Eugene, but the hours for the place are wonky and I have trouble getting there after work in time. I get it from here for the same price. Helpful staff, pleasing layout, large selection, there isn't too much to complain about. If I need a one-stop shop in Oregon, this is where I would head and I'd surely find what I need. read more

This review is not about liquor. It's about the terrific gift store and gourmet chocolate counter at Keizer Liquor. Independent, quality chocolate shops don't seem to last long, partly due to climate change and the rising cost of cocoa beans. See's used to be my go to chocolate shop, but they use too many artificial ingredients, especially for their prices. The handmade chocolates at Keizer Liquor come from Minnesota (I'd rather support locals), but for taste and gift quality, they are excellent, if pricey. The gift shop has lots of year round and seasonal offerings that will brighten any home. Most items are a little expensive, but they're regularly marked down in post season sales. I'm glad this store is doing well. There's not much that compares in all of nearby Salem. read more

Not only do they have beautiful and friendly people at the cash register. They have cigars, knickknacks, stickers, chocolate and whole bunch of other stuff. Good prices and a whole lot more. They actually remember who you are. Good people are hard to find and these people are good people. Hiring manager does a good job. I don't know the owner but I'd like to shake his or hers hand. This store is not like any other liquor store I have been to, in the best way possible. This place is HUGE and has a wide selection of any kind of alcohol you could possibly want. They have an on-site wine curator who is fabulous. They helped me pick a bottle for a gift. They also were able to order a super old, cheap, near impossible to find, bottom shelf champagne that has sentimental meaning to my significant other. Will for sure return. read more

This is not an average liquor store. This place is huge! I was informed this is the second biggest liquor store in Oregon. They have a huge selection of alcohol, wine and mixes. They also have a section for cute knickknacks such as silly signs, keychains, plants etc. If this store doesn't have what you're looking for it's very unlikely another place would. Every weekend they have free tastings of different liquors and wines. read more

Amazing store with a ton of product. I had been on a list to receive an allocated bottle and it finally came in - got the call and headed in to pick up my highly anticipated bottle. By some tragic mistake they sold it already. I get it, stuff happens. What I did not expect is to be offered a very good (more than equal) allocated bottle to purchase and I am absolutely amazed by this! This store is well worth the drive if you are not local to Keizer and they take care of the customer. read more

this is a great liquor store, yes. Some of the other reviews have already pointed that out. It is large and has a good selection. My review is about the cigar aspect of the store. The only negative I can say is that I wish their selection was a little bit larger. Having said that, the cigars they have chosen to offer are all top quality cigars. Someone has obviously put some thought into what they are offering in their selection, and I very much appreciate that. What sets this place apart from other stores selling cigars, including places that specialize in selling cigars, is that with every purchase you receive long wooden matches as well as a cedar spill. even if you are buying one individual cigar, you still get a box of long wooden matches and a strip of cedar. The strip of cedar is the classic way of lighting your fine tobacco without altering the flavor by the use of a fuel-burning lighter. I have been to other cigar stores and have had to ask for matches. Even then, I'm always given the box of small matches that you get at the grocery store. I feel it is a touch of class, and an obvious intentional decision by the owners, to offer the long wooden matches as well as the cedar spill. Additionally, their prices are reasonable. I have visited other smoke shops in the area and have been surprised to see cigars priced at almost double the market price. I live in Keizer, so I'm especially grateful that this place is here. I only wish that they offered a larger selection. Specifically the Arturo fuente short story cigar. read more

This store is a cut above: It's large, but not so big as to feel "warehousey". The selection is enormous, everything from the everyday adult beverage to esoteric spirits. Beer, wine they've got it all, and it's organized beautifully. And the service is spot on...friendly and available but not hanging all over you. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Update: I have raised my review to three stars since receiving a sincere response from the business. I will hope to have a better experience at this store next time. Absolutely horrible and rude employee. I was in the store with my fiancé, and didn't have my handbag with my wallet and ID on me since we had just come from the gym next door. The woman working at the register asked for both of our ID's. Since I didn't have mine on me, I had to go back out to my car to get it. Understandable; but when we went back in the make our purchase with my valid ID in hand, the woman said that she was refusing service to us. She raised her voice and called us rude in front of other customers, and also spoke very rudely to other employees in front of us and the other customers in the store. Would not even look at my ID or consider letting us make our purchase. (I understand that I should have had my ID with me the first time... I just didn't think of it as I would usually always have my wallet with me, but like I said, we had just come from the gym). But the way that the woman handled things was extremely rude and uncalled for. I can't say that I've ever been treated so poorly in a retail environment. I hope the owners of this business are aware that they have such a disagreeable employee driving away customers. read more

Pulled up at 6:58 and they closed at 7. Gal was vacuuming rug and ignored me. I held my phone up to the window and she looked at it and it read 6:58 and rudely said girls have already counted the till. I'm sorry but when your sign says 7 then you should put your customers first. I don't complain much but myself and two others that were there before 7 are pissed and won't be back! read more
