She suggested us to select a pre-make cake at the freezer or she promised that our custom cake would be ready the next day at 12:00 p.m. I finally selected to get the cake on next day and specifically asked her to confirm the time because my son's birthday party was that day, and she assured me it would be ready. The next morning, we called before driving over, only to be told that the cake STILL wasn't ready and wouldn't be available until around 1:00-1:30 p.m. On top of everything, Rosa offered to refund the cake because of their mistakes. But when I finally picked it up, she told me she couldn't process the refund and only her boss could--and informed me that her boss was in Maryland. Losing a custom birthday cake order is already unacceptable, but making promises you can't keep and adding even more stress on the day of a child's birthday party made the situation much worse.
