It was a hot day so we wanted some milkshakes to cool us off. We decided to stop by the Baskin Robbins / Dunkin Donuts shop. There was an L-shaped counter. One side of the counter was Baskin Robbins and the other side was Dunkin Donuts. I guess management told their employees not to be wasteful, because it took 3 attempts to make enough milkshake to fill my cup. I was a bit impatient and thought "this is how you lose business and get low ratings." If milkshakes are on the menu, you would think they know how much ice cream vs. milk goes into a small, medium, or large size. I ordered the Java chocolate chip and Reese's peanut butter milkshake, but got mainly peanut butter ice cream so it was sweeter than I had preferred. Luckily I only got a small. Ordered through Door Dash but they cancelled the order 30 minutes into it. So I would say yes, their customer service is very poor.

Went to Baskin Robbins , family out of town wanted to go there. They had no hot fudge, no caramel topping, no nuts for the sundaes and the ice cream looked melted . Worker said they ran out. Unacceptable. Service was ok, but we should have at least been discounted on the sundaes with not all toppings available or offered something else in exchange. Never will go there again, they always run out of things. read more

When entering the building my first impression was the staff didn't have the customer best interest in heart. Staff were on their phone and playing music and laughing and joking around carrying on their own personal conversations while customers wait.Also If you like profanity yelled at you for their own mistakes then this is the place to go. My wife and 2 young children were yelled at with profanity because the employee working the window gave them their order wrong 3 times. We have been to this location many times but not anymore. Was told they changed management...obviously! No more military discount ( outside headquarters of USMC)! Service horrible. I'm not a huge fan of the Dunkin doughnut/ BR combo stores but Asked for decaf and was told they didn't have any. It's DD for goodness sakes. Probably didn't help that I picked up a bag of decaf and said "well here's some". Hubby ordered a chocolate malt shake. Got a tub of vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and malt sprinkled on top. Guy tried to stir in malt with a spoon. I thought he was going to have to go behind counter and make it himself. Daughter got chocolate chip ice cream that was freezer burnt. Horrible, one person was working and they had tubs that had been completely melted and left out then re frozen again. Disgusting. They also did not have a variety and everything was very disorganized. We just left and will never be returning. Drive to Dairy Queen instead which is about 4 miles from here. read more

Unfortunately, this store is an example of bad customer service. Today I went in this establishment for a small simple cake. I have been here before and although the store is not kept in tip top shape it never stopped me from getting a cone with my kids. Today, however, after purchasing the ice cream cake in question, 4 people including the manager refused to write a birthday wish on this cake. I have purchase several cakes in the other stores in the general area and it has never been an issue. Their problem here was that the cake had already to many decorations on it. These people obviously either don't know how to treat their customers, don't care to or were too busy with the the only other two people in the store. They're always out of something!! How are you going to make a sundae with no cherries? Matter of fact, how are you going to make a sundae when you don't even have the ice cream people are asking for?? The ice cream was super delicious but customer service was the worst. Wlhen I go to a ice cream parlor the atmosphere should be commensurate with the joy that ice cream brings to anyone wanting to indulge themselves into one of the finest novelities of life. I received poor customer service from Blanca, Dumphries, VA store. She had an attitude from the beginning and acted as though she was frustrated with me and my husband for no apparent reason. She rolled her eyes, begin to breathe heavily with frustration as I advised her on how I wanted her to prepare my sundae. My husband and I were very disapointed and felt that her attitude spoiled the experience of getting ice cream on a brisk cold night. It really helps for people like her to explore other opportunities for employment and not settle for something that makes her have ill will to the people that enjoy the full experience of Baskin and Robbins. read more
