This is my to go to bakery for all my needs. Regular, I purchase their tiramisu torte and mini tarts. They are delicious and I cannot have enough of them. I do recommend to pre order if you need a specific item as they get very busy. Service has always been great. In the past I have ordered some custom cakes and they made it happen. I do recommend consistent communication with them because sometimes they just don't email Back. The tres leches was delicious. If you enjoy a very moist, milk-soaked cake, you will likely love this one. It was fully saturated with the milk mixture, which creates a rich texture and flavor. However, if you prefer a tres leches that leans more toward cake than liquid, this version may feel a bit too wet for your preference. I was somewhat disappointed with the mango mousse, as I was hoping for a stronger mango flavor to really stand out but it just wasn't there. I also tried the tiramisu, which was very nice and well balanced. Overall, there were some strong highlights, especially the tres leches and tiramisu. Unfortunately, not worth buying anything I tried. Got the opera cake and was so excited to take a bite when I got home. Only to be disappointed and a little grossed out. The flavor was oddly floral (a leaf taste almost) which is weird as opera cake is only two flavors: raspberry and chocolate. There was no raspberry to speak of and the cake was a little dry. The New York cheesecake has a weird texture and tastes good but not like cheesecake. The store itself smelled like a nail salon which should have been a sign most probably. The bathroom is not available (which would be fine, if there was a curtain or door blocking saying staff only since a hallway seems like you can go in). We decided to go for an adventure and try to find a new dessert place, so we took a trip to Bellash Bakery. We were greeted when we walked in; one of the two employees was helping a customer with a cake order. Since it was our first time as customers, we decided to try several items: an eclair, Oreo cake, a rainbow cookie, a unicorn cookie, and crumb cake. Our items were boxed up and we waited several minutes to check out due to the credit card machine going down. (We had cash, but the previous customer did not.) The prices were very reasonable for the items. Once we got home, we immediately grabbed plates to try our goodies. I started with the eclair and my hubby started with the Oreo cake. The eclair was okay, but the custard was pretty bland. The Oreo cake was extremely dry and the frosting was a bit off-putting. We didn't finish the slice. Next, we tried the sprinkle cookie. It seemed very stale and the flavor was flat. We only had a few bites. The unicorn cookie was the best of the bunch. The royal icing work was lovely, and the cookie was soft and flavorful. My husband had the crumb cake the next morning and said it was okay, but quite sweet and not as crumbly as he had hoped. Overall, the items were hit and miss, with underwhelming desserts overall. Found this place on Yelp looking for a Tiramisu cake for my sisters Birthday. And I found this gem. I called them and ask them if they had the cake and to my surprise they had a whole cake. This was the third bakery I called I was able to pay over the phone. I gave them all of my information and I picked up the cake three hours later the cake was beyond my expectations. When I got home I tried it and it was pretty dry inside for being a mouse cake from a bakery and not a grocery store. It also had a glaze on top that made it appear fresher than I thought. Three years ago for my husband's birthday I asked Bellash for a cake that looks like a large Hostess HoHo (a childhood favorite of his). There was a bit of a language barrier that prolonged the ordering process. Luckily, their cake collection book included a Yule log - just about perfect...I thought. However, the resulting cake resembled a log with a few stubby branches off of it; no leaves, just branch stubs. I wondered who would order a cake like that. Do I look like a person who would order this cake? So, I performed surgery, and it looked good for the party. The cake was very good, and I shared the amusing story. The next year I ordered it again and this time bring a HoHo to clearly represent. None of the stores I stopped at had any, so I showed a picture on my phone - the pic had a full one and a half one showing the swirled filling - and emailed the picture to the bakery. I also texted it to the assistant's cell for back-up. I believe I had the pleasure of her assistance on her very first day on the job. For instance, she was about to write down a vanilla cake with chocolate filling. (Obviously, she had a Hostess-deprived childhood, hence her failing powers of observation, hearing and focus. ;-) ) I had to correct her about three times as she scratched things out on the receipt. I told her 6-8 people. I should've said 4. Upon picking it up, a different assistant was coming through the swinging door to the back room with a long white box in her arms. I could tell by her movements that this, oh this, was much more than ordered. Oh, how the universe conspires to provide me anything but a simple HoHo-replica cake! *sigh* She opened the lid while my eyebrow was raised in anticipation. There it was. The second edition Ha-Ha cake! Enough to feed 15 and with a lovely splash of fruit because who doesn't love fruit? I buried my head in my hand. She asked if I wasn't happy with it. I smiled and said that it was fine; thank you. I mean, really. Should I have asked them to remove half the cake? (That would've given Them a story to tell about the crazy-lady customer who thinks less is more.) The cake looked ridiculous but was delicious. Dare I try again? Would the third time be the charm? Is it possible to staple an order receipt to a HoHo? Perhaps I could wrap the order receipt around a HoHo with a rubber band? The following year, I hunted down a pack of Ho-Hos and had them with me when I placed the order. My certainty that this approach would seal the deal and finally deliver what I wanted was wobbling against the same communication challenges and Murphy's Law breathing down my neck. The pick-up day arrived, and I drove with great anticipation to the scene of the crimes. Alas, as I stepped outside carrying the third edition of the Ha-Ha cake, I couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry. read more

Smells like chemicals and their items taste the same. I picked up some pastries for my mom's birthday and when we tried them, I had to spit them out they were so disgusting. My mom actually wanted me to call the store and about it because "something had to be desperately wrong for them to taste that way." I will never go in this shop again. This is the most beautiful bakery I have ever seen. Every desert looks like it was given love and attention and made so beautifully. Prices seem more than fair. I am from upstate New York where bakeries are common but I have never seen one of this quality in northern Virginia. Big thanks to Bellash for delivering my Father-in-law's 80th Birthday cake! They patiently listened to my many questions and requests and delivered exactly what I'd asked for. My father-in-law loves cheesecake and they were able to make one that was elegant enough to serve as the cake for his 80th. They proposed a layer of chocolate ganache on top and buttercream decorations and even texted me a sample photo of what the ganache would look like. We were in town from CA and we're looking for A good bakery. We found this one online and it had great reviews so we went out searching for it. Google maps was way off and we ended up lost. We turned into a random parking lot to get our bearings and ended up finding it on our own. So beware, Google maps will take you to the wrong place. I'm originally from NY so when I walked in and saw all of the NY style pastries I was in heaven!! I couldn't decide what to get! I ended up getting a rainbow cookie, a few Italian cookies, a small tiramisu, and an Oreo cake. The cookies were $13.99/pound. My whole order ended up being around $12. After I ordered I walked over to the bathroom and it was so filthy. The floors the whole way down the hallway were sticky and the actual floors in the bathrooms were filthy. That really grossed me out. When I got back to my hotel room I took my first bite of cookie and I was so disappointed. It was fully stale. Tried the next cookie...stale. My rainbow cookie LOOKED NY style but didn't even compare flavor wise. The tiramisu was FANTASTIC and the Oreo cake was so-so...nothing special but okay tasting. Wow. I was extremely disappointed by a place I used to always come to. I posted the pictures of what we got and it shows what we requested and how it pales in comparison to what they gave us. This was a graduation cake for my brother. Unfortunately because of Covid he could not have a graduation and we were very excited to get him a beautiful cake specially made for him. Sadly this is what they gave us and we were all very disappointed to say the least. It ruined a special day for him. They clearly made this rushed and did not even make the effort to make it look better. We were all very sad when we saw the result of the cake. What makes things worse is that we called and left voicemails and no one would return our calls. We also emailed them and again, no response. So we went in person, showed them the pictures and the lady there said she couldn't believe that they sold us that cake because it was not well done. She said she would be in contact with us but we never received a call. I'm sad to say that I will most likely not be going back. This was a cool little bakery. I'm always willing to give Mom and pop shops a try. The displays were clean and very well put together. I always ask the attendant what their favorite is and the lady behind the counter said her favorite item wasn't on sale that day, hmmm! I was stuck trying to figure out what I wanted on my own. I figured I would try an assortment of the most delicious looking treats. If I could give no stars I would. I was so disappointed with this bakery. The one most important day for my son was his graduation and it was going perfect until I picked up my cake. I paid $165+ for this cake and it was a disaster. Our party started at 1:00 and I told them that I would pick up the cake at noon. I get there and the cake wasn't ready. I waited an hour and a half! When the cake came out, it was awful. It either looked like it was a rushed job or they didn't know what they were doing. You will see the pictures attached. There was nothing I can do because I was already late for the party I had to take it as is. As soon as I got to the party, not even 30 minutes I was there the top tier of the cake fell off! If you are making a tier cake, you are supposed to place dowels in the cake! The cake was ruined even more. I wanted this to be a perfect party for my son who worked so hard. The fondant was cracking everywhere, the writing was terrible, one of the letters in his name was placed backwards (I blocked off his name) and the colors were running into each other. The cutting of the stripes where terrible! I also ordered graduation cookies and they were as hard as a rock and looked like a child made them. When I called to complain about the cake falling apart, they weren't going to refund me my money. Instead they gave me $60. For a cake like this, for this price, I should've been refunded the whole amount. I will never again order anything from this place again. Ever! read more

I see some good reviews here and I'm sure there are great things about the bakery. I ordered 2 cupcakes and the tirimasu cake on doordash. They put everything in a big open box and nothing was protected so everything fell over, icing everywhere. I got the strawberry cupcake which I assumed would be strawberry flavored icing with strawberry cake like any other reputable bakery would have. It was a poorly made strawberry cake (tastes like regular old boxed strawberry cake you get at the store) the icing was a bright pink but tasted horribleeee. The icing tasted like mostly food coloring. It wasn't creamy or sweet either. It was strange. I ordered the red velvet cupcake which was actually pretty good. Still the cake portion was poorly made but the icing was nice. The tirimasu cake.....just don't get it. There's barely any cake it's just a little bit of cake with mostly icing surrounded by some stale lady fingers. Also no coffee in it. Very disappointed and will not be returning. We used to get our cakes from here and they were doing well for a while. For our recent event, we ordered the cake 3 weeks out. They called the night before stating they didn't have the color pearls we requested. Asked for them to airbrush white pearls they wouldn't do it. It threw off the whole look of the cake. Asked if they would compensate for their error and they didn't. The morning of picking up the cake, it wasn't ready, hah. Waited 25 minutes for them to finish it, throwing off our whole timeline. We come to this shopping center from time to time to pick up pizza from Astoria or to visit the Beehive Playground and I've always meant to stop in and try this bakery. Finally did on a weekday afternoon and was so, so disappointed.  My first red flag should have been the quantities of cookies in the first case. There were SO many. There's no way they do enough business daily that these were freshly baked. My suspicion was confirmed when I ordered some of the Italian cookies, Nutella stuffed toffee cookies, etc. They were incredibly stale. On top of that, I did end up with an upset stomach the same afternoon (after having nothing but the cookies). Perhaps their made to order products are better?  Unfortunately I'll never know as there are other tried and true cake businesses in the area who I would shop with first. read more

I have been ordering birthday cakes for my cousin every year from this bakery. The past three cakes: Mario, PJ Mask, and Roblox-themed cakes that we had so far were all amazing. The Mario one that we had for the first time was probably the best one out of the three. In April of this year, I got the Roblox-themed cake and decided to write this review. The cake is good, the price is good, but communication is the worst part. Sometimes they do not pick up their phone. They did hang me on the phone for more than 15 minutes this time around. When the cake was finalized and all paid for over the phone, they called me a couple of days later to ask if it was a one or two-tier cake. I gave all that information(top and bottom-tier flavors, frostings, fillings, etc.) when I paid for the cake. They had sent me the receipt already, and I am not sure why they were calling to ask how many tiers were there on the cake. I am just glad the cake was ready as promised. One of the letters was inversed and I had to fix it when I got home. Roblox cake was definitely pretty faint compared to the picture that I sent them to make, but it's alright. I will be ordering from you guys again, but for God's sake, please work on improving the communication in your team! read more
