It was fully saturated with the milk mixture, which creates a rich texture and flavor. However, if you prefer a tres leches that leans more toward cake than liquid, this version may feel a bit too wet for your preference. I was somewhat disappointed with the mango mousse, as I was hoping for a stronger mango flavor to really stand out but it just wasn't there. I also tried the tiramisu, which was very nice and well balanced. Overall, there were some strong highlights, especially the tres leches and tiramisu. Overall a solid place but I have to go back and try other items before I can give it a four or five.

The flavor was oddly floral (a leaf taste almost) which is weird as opera cake is only two flavors: raspberry and chocolate. There was no raspberry to speak of and the cake was a little dry. The New York cheesecake has a weird texture and tastes good but not like cheesecake. The store itself smelled like a nail salon which should have been a sign most probably. The bathroom is not available (which would be fine, if there was a curtain or door blocking saying staff only since a hallway seems like you can go in). The service was good and the girl there was very friendly. Save your money!

I had tried Casey's salted caramel cupcakes a couple months before for a friend's birthday and knew instantly I wanted her to make my cupcakes for my wedding in April. She was super accommodating and baked 10 flavors (6 cupcakes in each flavor) for my friends and family to try. Every flavor was a hit! I highly recommend the Chocolate Oreo, Strawberry Champagne, and the Red Velvet in addition to her signature flavor Salted Caramel. The cupcakes were decorated in a simple and classy fashion which was very visually appealing. Casey is attentive and responsive and will work with you to meet your preferences and dietary needs. This was an great find for me, and I couldn't help myself, so I got three different pastries. I bought two conchas, and one cinnamon and pecan roll. All three of them together were less than $7.00. I bought a dozen to share and somehow made it home with three and a story that started with, "They must have shorted me." Amazing staff. Incredible doughnuts. This is one of Lorton's hidden gems. But let me give you one piece of advice: Get there EARLY. Nothing hurts more than walking in with your heart set on an apple fritter, only to watch the person in front of you buy the last one. Baby, that's the kind of disappointment you think about all day. Buy extras. Trust me. These doughnuts will have you saying things you don't mean and protecting your box like it's family heirlooms.
