If you need/want more than just vanilla and chocolate ice cream you MUST go here. It's all ICE CREAM (no yogurt sorry) and all soft served. There are about a million different flavor options. They mix in the flavors with the ice cream. They have their versions of the blizzard, HUGE sundaes (you can share and still get enough), dipped cones, banana splits, and some of their own creations. We haven't had anything we have not liked. Our Favorite is the peanut butter sundae (pictured below). Legit plenty for two to share. I can not imagine eating it all myself. It's about $8. I love Jimmy T's. I have been to the location in Fredericksburg and in Dumfries. My family and I love to come here for an ice cream, we are frequent flyers. My favorite is the hot fudge sundae but sometimes I get the twist cone with toppings. I've also had an m&m mambo but you need an appetite for the mambos. There is outside seating so it is great in the summer and spring months. I always get sad when they close for winter. The staff are always super kind and service is usually pretty quick even though there can be long lines on summer nights. What I enjoyed about this is that they had shells besides chocolate. My wife opined that she wondered where peanut butter dipped soft serve had been all her life. They also have an enormous menu of things to mix in to a milkshake type beverage (very much like a Blizzard) that I devoured. That said, they were completely overwhelmed. No guest was social distancing and it took about 20 minutes to get through the line and then obtain the ice cream. The napkins were all gone and spilled ice cream was present everywhere. Pros: Relatively inexpensive soft serve ice cream, sundaes, and shakes. Cons: I live really close, so I've visited Jimmy T's a few times and have been kinda disappointed each time. For starters, the standard vanilla ice cream itself lacks that rich, soft serve taste (think McDonalds cones) of predecessors JoJos/Baylors. The flavored soft serves are a miss compared to previous ice cream shops as well. For example, JoJos/Baylor's flavors were served as a swirl-- a hint of the rich vanilla and - chocolate/strawberrry/caramel/ sauce swirled together. I bought a strawberry cone today that tasted like they put Nestle Strawberry Milk Powder into the mix. It tasted real artificial. Mix-ins of JoJo's/Baylor's included delicious cake, edible cookie dough, or cheesecake pieces for the cake batter/birthday cake/cheesecake ice cream cones. In contrast, I once ordered a cake batter cone from Baylor's and it was just vanilla ice cream with POWDERED CAKE MIX on top. So basically flavored flour on ice cream.....(ew, not great). Haven't had a sundae so I can't provide a review on it. All in all, I'd just stick with the vanilla ice cream cones or hit the Micky D's across the street for a $1 cone. read more

This was our first visit, having been patrons of both Jojo's and Baylor's. We opted for the Turtle Sundae and the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae, which were both huge for under $5 each. The turtle was decent, with just enough of all the toppings in each bite. Would order again. The shortcake on the other hand was not what we expected. As other Yelpers have shared, the cake reminded me of those wrapped cakes you get at the convenience store. It was also really syrupy. Would not order again.
